Whether you stay in Summer or Winter you can step away from the hustle and bustle and truly experience Mountain life. Plenty of space to relax, to say the least.... at 5600 SF there is more than enough room for multiple families.

In the Summer, whether you are here for golf, a wedding, or a summer retreat, enjoy nearby golf at Sunday River Country Club; or get your outdoor self connected with nature with nearby Kayaking, Hiking, Tubing or just grilling on the front porch with a glass of wine overlooking the mountain.

Great stay with a large group

We had a great time staying here with a large (4 families) group. Plenty of room to spread out and let the kids take over the two bunk rooms. Easy access to the slopes (note - the walk might be a little much for small kids in ski boots, but running a shuttle was easy). Ethan was super responsive and helpful. Will definitely look to stay again.

My family had the most wonderful time at the Winterfell Ski Chalet! The views were phenomenal and the house was beautiful! It was a well-appointed home and very accommodating to our large family. It was just a quick walk across the street and through the woods to get to the lifts, which was so convenient. The host, Ethan, was always available and provided me with assistance in all regards. We were blown away by his hospitality and kindness! We would absolutely stay here again! I cannot recommend this home enough! 10/10 property!

We had a great stay at the Tips up House over the Holidays. Tons of room for everyone , very well equipped and Ethan was very responsive and easy to work with. Overall great experience

Pandemic ski week

This house was perfect; very well appointed. The picture do not do it justice! Plenty of room for a large crowd, we were 8 adults and three children. The beds are very comfortable, actual plush towels. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook group meals. We had never skied in Maine before. The mountain - which is so close to the house, was great. The owners have done an outstanding job making this feel like a good hotel and a family home, we would love to stay there again!

Great place, even better location!

We stayed here for a golf weekend. We had a great time. The place was about a 5 min drive to Sunday river country club. It comfortably fit all adults and was a great place to unwind after a long day of golf. Ethan was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this listing!

Guys Ski Weekend At Tips Up Chalet

I've been organizing a guys ski trip to Sunday River for years now staying in a few different houses/condos and I believe we found our go to house. This place is amazing! Enough room for at least 15 guys and then some. We actually forgot some guys were at the house with us as we may have only seen them on the slopes as the house is set up in a way that if you want to escape the "crowd" then you can easily do so. Big, clean rooms, comfy beds, great lower level with darts, air hockey, and ping pong, etc. The TV room across from the bar area on the other side of the house is perfect! Huge TV, and an unbelievably comfortable sectional! Some guys gave up their beds so they could sleep on the sectional...it was extremely comfortable. The deck was great and the brand new hot tub didn't dissapoint as you can sooth your muscles while overlooking the slopes...it was truly fantastic. It was also a very easy walk to the lodge from the house which is nice not having to worry about driving when coming home from the Foggy Goggle! Ethan was a great host and was available via text if we needed anything. He also greeted us with a nice bottle of red on the kitchen counter upon our arrival. Really cool place and would highly recommend!

Great location and owner

The house is a bit quirky but great for large groups. A lot of room for our 4 families to spread out. Kitchen is well equipped. Brand new hot tub. Easy 5 minute walk to lifts. Ethan was very communicative and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely stay here again.

We are a family obsessed with living life to the max, and most importantly having fun. We realized we weren't living life to the fullest in the winters, so we decided we needed to step up our game and get our family to the mountain.

Location and size. When we started our search our three main criteria were, one it's gotta be on the mountain, two it's gotta have a ton of space, and three it cant be boring or cookie cutter. "Winterfell" has great vibes, and we were able to capture the traditions, allure, and character the original owners had intended it for, and with the help of my wife's interior design background, we were able to capture the lodge/chalet/ski theme that we wanted.
