Discover the "Brunelleschi" apartment by WP Relais, situated in the heart of Florence just off the prestigious Via Tornabuoni. Located a short distance from the River Arno, this exclusive residence is located inside the historical Palazzo Berardi, dating back to the 1600s. The neighbourhood is surrounded by traditional Tuscan restaurants, high-fashion boutiques such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren and WP Store, as well as grocery and convenience stores.
The apartment, which can accommodate up to six people, occupies the second and top floors of the building and is accessible by lift. The lower floor of the apartment offers a spacious 60 square metre living area with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower, while the upper floor overlooks the living room and features a period wooden floor, a ceiling with wooden beams, and period paintings. The three peaceful bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, are located on the upper floor. The rooms are configured as one twin and two doubles.

Beautiful and unique space. Location was perfect. Was advertised as having a washing machine & elevator when we booked. No washing machine or elevator (due to construction) but was worth the climb.Highly recommend staying here.

The master bedroom was cool and dark, just the way we wanted it. Our family of 5 had plenty of bathrooms. There was a Nepresso maker and a standard coffee maker, which we enjoyed. We couldn’t find very many eating utensils- there were a few in the top rack of the dishwasher. My favorite feature of the house was the large open windows, with views of the bustling street and the Arno. The place is in a great location. As others mentioned, the master shower leaks on the floor and there isn’t a clothes washer. Overall, the place has a great ambiance and we considered it to be a good value for our family.

Beautiful place. My family of 5 (adults) loved it. Great location. Nice to have three bathrooms. Only problems: construction as others have noted. Messy stairwell and a lot of narrow stairs to get into the flat (elevator is out) Then once inside more narrow stairs. We are young and strong so it was inconvenient but manageable. I feel sure the owner knew this would be happening but disclosed it rather late, too late to make a change. One of the showers upstairs leaks. It’s not caulked. There was a lot of water that ran out onto the floor. Also there is a white powder that shows up on all the surfaces in the main area. We kept wiping the tables only to find them covered again a short time later. All of that aside, I would stay here again in a minute. Great location. Nicely apportioned. Has all we needed. Responsive hosts. Large enough for a family. Good AC (although initially there were issues with the breakers flipping and all of the AC turned off. The host resounded immediately). Aside from construction and a couple maintenance issues, it was an A stay.

We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility during your stay, and we want to assure you that we take these matters seriously,We understand how inconvenient the narrow stairs and the out-of-order elevator must have been, especially with the messy stairwell due to the ongoing building construction. We apologize for the timing of our disclosure regarding this situation; we always aim to communicate transparently and will work on providing updates sooner to our future guests. Thank you for pointing out the missing caulking. Our maintenance team is already scheduled to reseal the shower to prevent any further water leaking onto the floor. This is a direct result of the dust coming from the building's construction work. We are addressing this with the building management to minimize the impact inside the property, and we will ensure extra deep cleaning during this period. We are glad we could respond quickly and resolve the initial power issue so you could enjoy the AC. Your kindness and positive attitude mean a lot to us, and we are absolutely delighted to know that you would stay with us again in a heartbeat. Convenient location

Family of 6 traveling to Florence for first time. Excellent communication with the property manager. We had a chef come and he did a pasta cooking class for us which was a lot fun. Very convenient and easy walk to the main sites.

Traveled to Florence with family of four adults. I was excited about this property because of its historical charm but I was disappointed with the misleading description. First I had contacted the host to ensure there was a washing machine as this would be mid-way thru our trip to Italy and I wanted to wash clothes. I was assured there was a machine. The day that we were to check in, I was notified there was no working elevator and the property is on the 3rd floor so we'd have to carry luggage 3 flights. Bottom floor is always zero, so essentially 4 flights up. They also shared there would be construction during our stay (which fortunately didn't occur). Inside the property, there are more many more stairs with open railings which could be a terrible safety hazard for young children and those with mobility concerns. The bathrooms/showers are very small and we weren't able to use the overhead shower in the master as it poured water all over the bathroom floor. There are also no bidets as advertised. The wifi works only on the bottom floor of the property. After voicing several concerns about not being able to do laundry, the host allowed me to use the main laundry area for all the properties, which was also a hassle as I needed to go up and down several stairs with loads of laundry & coordinate time. The upside to the property is the location which is approx. 15-20 min. walk to all main sites. I also appreciate the old world charm of the furnishings.

Dear Kristen.Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the location and the historical charm of the property. However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding the logistics. As we communicated well in advance of your arrival, the building is currently undergoing temporary maintenance work that has put the elevator out of service. Unfortunately, this ongoing work is the exact reason we haven't been able to bring the new washing machine up to the apartment yet. This is why we proactively offered you full access to our main laundry facility as a temporary solution. These building works and the elevator block are strictly temporary. Once completed, both the elevator and the new in-apartment washing machine will be fully operational. We have also already resolved the shower issue you mentioned. Excellent location

Solid neighborhood close to train station and all the other sites while still on a street that's more quiet than other areas in the neighborhood. Great hosts too.

Italy Tour

Excellent property and location. As described in reviews, there are a lot of steps but completely manageable. Responsive host. Only negative was that lights in the common stairwell were inoperable at night.

Fantastic flat in the heart of Florence

Spectacular location & wonderful apartment

There question we a would stay here again. The apartment was spacious and had such character. It was a great place to end and start our days. Gaia was easy, pleasant and accommodating to work with. Look forward to our next visit to Florence.

Great Apartment in Fantastic Location in the heart of Florence

A great apartment in the heart of Florence. A quick walk to all the local attractions with great restaurants just outside your door. Check-in was easy and the apartment was well setup with all of the necessities you would need. Lots of room on 3 floors for our family four to stretch out. Would definitely recommend.

Loved our stay in Florence!

Location is an area with many stores and walking distance (5 mins) to many restaurants and attractions, we walked to everything. We had a group of seven persons and the three sleeping areas worked out well for us, just note that one of the beds is in an open loft area. Also, lots of steep steps in the apartment so keep that in mind with young kids and elderly. The check in was fantastic as well as all the communications. We got in to Florence early and were able to leave all our bags with the host and came back later to check in - this was GREATLY APPRECIATED. They even moved our bags to the apartment for us, WOW!

Florence with family!

Our family really enjoyed this apartment! There are 3 levels, with the loft and bedrooms at the top which we didn’t fully realize when booking, but it made for a lot of extra space. The extra large living area downstairs, high ceilings and 3 bathrooms were great. With a lot of original character, the apartment still felt new and clean. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing stay in Florence!

We stayed in the gorgeous apartment for 4 nights over Christmas time. The apartment itself is beautiful with comfortable beds and towels and the location in Florence is amazing. Would return to this place in a heart beat. Communication with Gaia was very easy and she was super helpful. Thank you!

Great location

Great location and easy access to most of Florence. The apartment was lovely, plenty of space for us all and AC units in each bedroom. The only issue we had was accessing the apartment, we didn’t receive check in access and had to call to receive it. But otherwise all was wonderful and perfect for us.

Beautiful apartment and very gracious host.

The apartment is beautiful, spacious and in a great location. It's walking distance to everything but not too close to the noisy, crowded areas by the Duomo. Our host was very helpful and accommodating and informative. I would 100 percent recommend this apartment. We had a wonderful experience and anytime we had questions we were able to stop in next door where the host worked and ask questions, which he graciously answered. Loved this place!!!
