Villa DORE is 10 minutes walk from the center of Elounda and the beach. It is leaning against a hill. All bedrooms, terraces, and living room have views of the sea and the private pool. Cretan stone walls are lined with trees and flowers. The sunrise is an enchanting sight. The environment is peaceful and quality. The right wing of the house is reserved for you and you benefit from all the private enjoyment of the terraces, garden furniture, barbecue, swimming pool, parasol, deckchairs, and shaded patio where you can take your meals. We are at your disposal for any further information. You will be delighted with your stay in this villa, ideally located, as we are when we come there.

Our stay was very nice. Property was clean except that the pool was not tended to on the Tues and Fri that was scheduled and as a result we were not able to use it for three days as it was not clean. The villa itself was modern but although it has three bedrooms, the kitchen (kitchenette) and combined living area was very small and really could only accommodate 4 people at most. Outdoor living area was very spacious and we loved the proximity to Elounda.

Oasis in Elounda Crete

My extended family recently stayed at this Villa, and it was simply perfect. The views are spectacular, the place was super clean and within walking distance to several eateries, the beach, and shopping. Hope to stay here again!

This is a beautiful property up the hill from Elouda. The outdoor areas are just superb!! We spent all our time outside, in the pool, and enjoying the views. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, AC is excellent! We were a group of 7 and found the property equipped for everything we needed. As other reviews have noted, the indoor living space is very small but this was not an issue for us. I have to make special mention to the kindness and hospitality of Dimitry. We followed all his dinner recommendations - the food was divine. He responded so quickly to any questions. And when we had a medical emergency, Dimitry came with us to the hospital which made it so much easier. Thank you again my friend!

The Villa was amazing. The views that greeted us each day were breathtaking. All the facilities were catered for. We tended to walk down to the Town in the evenings and get a taxi back.

Villa DORE- a secret gem of Elounda.

What an amazing place to stay and have your family reunion at. The entire family (combo US and CZ) felt like we hit a Jackpot in Crete. So relaxing, quiet, clean and beautiful place with gorgeous views. Definitely would come back or recommend to anyone who enjoys privacy and relaxation.

Elounda bliss

The property was exemplary! Almost didn't want to venture out because the villa was so nice to be at! My family were so delighted with the view of the harbour from the poolside!

Wonderful stay in Elounda

The house is very clean and nice. It has great views.The exterior of the house was the highlight with the infinity pool, pool chairs, dining table and outdoor shower bathroom.Even though the house is on the mountain, the location is good for easy access to supermarket, restaurants and beach. Would definitely recommend this house. We loved our stay.

Wonderful views, lovely villa

Villa Dore is an impressive villa with wonderful views. Nathalie was an excellent host and the problems with the pool we had on arrival were swiftly rectified. The villa is spacious and clean and has everything you could possibly need. The villa is about a 20 minute walk from Elounda, which is a pleasant walk. The villa is on a very steep hill so I would recommend a hire car, but the views across the bay are amazing. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved it

We were 3 couples on a sampler trip through parts of Europe. This house was a highlight of our trip. We loved the view, the pool, the friendliness and responsiveness of the host, the usefulness of everything in the house. We had a couple of small issues but when we told the host, they were going to get them taken care of. It was hard to leave when our time came.

The most amazing view - highly recommended

Over the years we have stayed in many Villas - but this one tops the lot. The check-in process from Dimitri was easy - I love the private auto gates and the windy drive up to the property. The 3 bedrooms are a nice size - the two on the first floor have balconies. The pool is lovely - really deep at one end which is great - but the view from the pool is amazing. The owners and Demitri were very helpful - I honestly can’t recommend highly enough. We will back.

Beautiful hillside villa with stunning views

Stayed at Villa Doré for 11 days. Two couples. Everything was perfect. The pool was was wonderful. Lots of outside space. Short walk down into Elounda which has a large selection of restaurants and a lovely beach. We’d planned quite a few day trips but the villa is so lovely and peaceful that we spent most of the time by the pool enjoying the stunning views or on the beach enjoying the delicious food in the local restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend this villa

A wonderful Two weeks

We had a fabulous two weeks staying at Villa Dore, the views are just amazing and you can never get bored of looking at them. The town of Elounda has most things you would need during your stay and lots of lovely restaurants. The pool and outside space was fantastic being a family consisting of us and 2 adult daughters and their boyfriends it meant we all had lots of space not to be on top of each other. We all agreed even after 2 wks we could have easily stayed longer. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely villa. Paul & Ally x

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Dore. We were four adults, three generations. Our mission was to relax and that is exactly what we were able to do! Villa Dore has a lovely, large outside space which is much more spacious than the photos suggest. Perfect pool with different areas to sit and take in the amazing view. We were able to have the relaxing break we wanted without having to travel away from the villa. The villa was clean and well equipped with Dimitry on hand for easy check-in and out and to answer any questions we had. Although we drove (bad hip!) there are many great tavernas within a 15-20 minute walk from the villa, which were recommended by hosts and did not disappoint. We would very much like to return! Thank you!

Picture perfect view and pool

Great property and holiday. The town is down the hill with restaurants near by not in Elounda and some of the best. The one problem we had with the aircon was addressed quickly. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the strange feeling being very conscious of turning off the aircon when leaving for day. In fairness the house kept cool with them off, but far too many notices did distract from just enjoying the facilties paid for. Great property.

Wonderful and idyllic

We had the most fantastic family holiday here we were 5 adults and stayed 3 weeks here . We did not want to leave and is by far the best villa we have ever rented . The pool area and whole outside area was delightful and extremely spacious . Everything is bigger than the photos . All bedrooms are lovely with sea views and very comfortable . Kitchen is very well equipped and straight out onto outdoor area . Rose who looks after the house was amazing and a wealth of information Nothing is too much trouble if you need anything .she strives to make your stay comfortable Luke who looks after the pool is very friendly and really cares about your experience at the pool which is so well maintained Nathalie the owner is lovely and always on hand . We had a rental car but rarely used it as the tavernas and beach were so close walking about 15 minutes to the square and about 8 minutes to the beach The view from the infinity pool is outstanding and from the whole house . It is breathtaking Bathrooms are all modern and the outside shower was wonderful . We all took our evening showers outside as it was an amazing experience We will really miss this place and will definately return in the future

Villa Dore July 23

Location and view from Villa Dore were great and we had a super stay, despite sweltering heat. I think it worth mentioning in notes sent prior to arrival that the roads up are very very steep and our hire car couldnt make it on the recommended route to villa. Luckily we found different route in and Rose then told us another easier route in and out of Elounda. We are a fit family, but contrary to other reviews ,it was a much longer walk into town than 20 minutes and we had to drive. Also, the photos are fairly deceptive - it felt alot more compact inside with the only living space being the kitchen which was alot smaller than the photos and we only had the annexe of the house, though the owner is never present when the villa is let. The kitchen was not that well supplied and 2 rings with no oven just a microwave meant cooking was not ideal for a family of 4. Also, other villas usually leave at least salt, bit of cooking oil, foil , dishclothes etc but the cupboards were bare. We had a really relaxing stay and the pool, terrace and view were wonderful.

Maybe the best located villa we have ever had in the Med. Quiet, amazing view, seating areas everywhere and yet 15-20 mins from an endless choice of great restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, etc etc. It's not the most luxurious interior but has absolutely everything you need including excellent AC and a good kitchen but the outdoor area is amazing with seats for sun and shade (plus views) at all times of the day, great BBQ and lovely pool.

Es waren herrliche Tage in der Villa deren Terassenbereich wir komplett für uns hatten.Ein toller Pool mit einer grandiosen Aussicht auf den Ort Elounda, der vieles zu bieten hat. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und Dimitry war jederzeit per WhatsApp erreichbar um Fragen zu beantworten.Wer ruhige Tage verbringen und die herrlichen Strände erkunden möchte wird sich hier so wie wir sehr wohlfühlen.

Sehr schön...

Sehr schöner Ort mit Blick auf das Meer, toller und tiefer Pool (rd. 2,5m), sehr gepflegter Außenbereich mit vielen Ecken zum verweilen, Top fanden wir auch den kleinen Kühlschrank Nähe des Pools und die Außendusche (mit WW) mit WC am Pool. Man mietet die rechte Seite des Anwesens, die linke Seite hat der Eigentümer zur Eigennutzung. Der Eigentümer ist bei Vermietung jedoch nicht da, so dass man alles so nutzen kann wie man möchte. Der Kontakt zum Eigentümer und zum Housekeeper war supper nett und hilfsbereit. Lieben Dank nochmal an Dimitry!Wir können die Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen!

vacances familiales

Un logement fonctionnel mais avec une pièce de vie un peu petite. Des travaux d'une villa en construction juste à côté ont un peu gâché la tranquillité du lieu y compris pendant le week-end. Villa bien située entre Elounda et Plaka mais il est fortement recommandé d'avoir une voiture.

Eine ganz schöne Villa, ruhig, dennoch in Gehdistanz entfernt vom Meer und vom ansprechenden Ferienort Elounda. Wunderbarer Ausblick und Pool. Es hat nichts gefehlt. Beim Ankommen hatten wir eine kleine Unsicherheit: Es geht um eine Doppelvilla, von der an uns eine Hälfte vermietet wurde (die rechte, vom Meer gesehen), und wir waren nicht sicher, ob die andere Hälfte ebenfalls belegt sein wird (dann hätten wir den Pool teilen müssen). Allerdings haben wir von Rose, die uns begrüsst hat, erfahren, dass die Besitzer immer nur eine Hälfte vermieten, die andere Hälfte haben sie zum eigenen Gebrauch. So hatten wir eine komplette Ruhe und den Pool nur für uns alleine.
