Excellent golf condo

This property was perfect for our stay. It was very clean, well organized, well equipped and in a great location. Communication with the property owner was amazing. Would recommend this to anyone staying in the Nipomo area.

A Real Treasure

We stayed a month in this wonderful condo and it felt like home. All the furnishings were comfortable, the view from the patio and living room were so serene and relaxing and the owners were wonderful to work with. Upon arriving the owner met us, showed us around the condo, answered any questions we had about the complex and area, then left their phone # to call if there were any problems. There was also a basket of goodies, wine and gift certificate to one of the local restaurants. There were plenty of supplies for the bath and kitchen and there was direct tv so we could record our favorite shows and watch upon leisure. Lots of brochures about the area to help us find restaurants and sightseeing. Even though there is only one bath it's large and has two sinks so it worked wonderful for my husband and I. The house was very clean and the neighbors even put our recycling and trash out each week for us. The location is nice because you're close to Santa Maria, Arroyo Grande, Pismo & Avila Beach. The owner recommended a grocery store in Pismo called California Fresh and it did not disappoint - wonderful selections. There was also Vons only 5 minutes away. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Nipomo - the weather was a nice even temperature the whole month of Sept. (75 during the day and 58 at night )- perfect for sleeping. We will stay there again when we return to Nipomo. Thank you Candyce & Art for a lovely experience.

Home Away from Home

My husband and I spent a relaxing January at this comfortable condo in Central Coast CA that offered everything we could possibly need at hand, evening the newspaper in the morning. From notepaper for a shopping list; fully stocked kitchen with all necessary appliances, grill on patio, cooking utensils and table settings; to washer/dryer, ample towels, bed coverings and pillows; TVs and WiFi plus desk for doing work; information about what to do and where to go; quiet corner overlooking the lovely golf course that offers a great 30 min walk around its perimeter; clean and comfortable furnishings...need we add more? Must not forget pool and spa a 2-min walk away. The owners have comfort down to a science. There was even an "emergency" supply of toothpaste and the like in case you arrive by plane but your luggage doesn't. A car is a must. There is a convenience store and small deli closeby with very good menu, nice eateries in nearby Arroyo Grande, and great place to walk on Pismo Beach not far. We enjoyed seeing the Monarch butterfly grove in Pismo and breeding elephant seals further north in Piedras Blancas (sights only seen in Jan). We visited Cambria, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay (great French bakery) north of us, and Los Olivos, Los Alamos, Solvang, and Santa Barbara to the south, all within easy distances. Great coastline, plenty of places to eat. It gets really dark at night as it's very rural with no street lights outside the community. We had a couple of foggy nights that were tricky. But the rewards are little traffic, quiet, and beautiful night sky. Great for sleeping. All around 5+ stars for us.

Great golf course view from the patio. It was quiet and relaxing. We rented from Art & Candyce in the past and were impressed by the quality of their property and their customer service. We were totally satisfied with everything!

An absolutely gorgeous, clean, and comfortable condo. There were numerous amenities we did not expect. All the fine touches made us feel right at home. The homeowners are very congenial and were available at all times if you needed anything, which we didn't because they supplied everything from bathroom necessities to spices (and the local morning paper). The property is situated in a beautiful area, surrounded by trees and golf courses, close to the pool/spa, clubhouse, the Five Cities, beaches, restaurants, wineries, Melodramas, to mention a few. Candyce sent us coupons for different activities. We can truly highly recommend this property to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

Loved everything about it. Very clean. Had everything you need in condo.

Excellent location for golf and pool and hot tub. Close to beautiful beaches, interesting restaurants and wineries. Beautiful hills. Close to San Luis Obispo, Solvang, and Santa Barbara. Candyce was fantastic to work with and great book with things to do.

Perfect Getaway

The two bedroom condo was quiet, comfortable, safe and nicely decorated. It was super clean and had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was filled with new utensils, pots and pans, dishes and a coffee pot.The towels and bedding appeared new and there was an abundance of blankets and extra towels. The condo is set back a little from the golf course so there is lots of privacy. The location was perfect for golf, wine tasting and beach walking. Many brochures were available in the condo for a variety of things to do in the area. The owners live nearby and they could not have been more helpful answering our questions. I would not hesitate to return again next year.

Wine tasting weekend

We loved staying at the Blacklake condo. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The views were lovely and it was a very peaceful location. We used it as a base for wine tasting on the Foxen Canyon trail. It was convenient for restaurants and the beach as well.

Working Retreat

Stayed in this quiet, comfortable and well equipped condo for 3 months while doing a work contract in the area. It truly was a great place to come back to after a long work shift and afforded many opportunities to play on days off- the location is easily accessible to beaches, hiking, wineries, restaurants, shopping. A walk through the neighborhoods of the golf course is a pleasant and relaxing way to get in some exercise. Candyce and Art are excellent hosts and have thought of and supplied pretty much everything you could want/need. If you are looking to enjoy all the Central CA Coast has to offer and a quiet, comfortable place to unwind, this rental fits the bill. Would recommend /definitely would return if in the area.

Golf Tournament

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your nicely appointed condo, it is was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Art even loaned us a pull cart for my son's golf tournament. It was nice to come back and relax at such a comfortable quiet place after walking for 5 hours on a very hilly golf course each day.

Exceptional condo!!

I can recommend this lovely condo wholeheartedly! It is spotless, beautifully furnished and offers a great location and setting. The owners have provided so many extras, it feels like a home. They have prepared a notebook of day trips and excursions as well as menus and brochures from all the nearby golf courses. They also have a wonderful collection of books and games for your enjoyment. The pantry is well stocked and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking, baking and entertaining. The owners are extremely helpful and clearly enjoy being your hosts. I will recommend this unit to all my friends and family.

A perfect place to relax.

I spent three months at this location. The condo was fully furnished and fully equipped. A perfect spot close to Santa Barbara & Paso Robles you will need a car. The best weather in California so many charming towns to explore. The owners Art & Candyce will do just about anything to make your stay perfect.

Great condo

We stayed at their 2 bedroom condo just down from the clubhouse at Blacklake Golf course for 6 days which was tooo short! kudo's to Candyce for the lovely welcome basket of "goodies' when we arrived. In additon, Candyce has prepared 3 extensive notebooks full of information concerning points of interest/history/entertainment and places to eat in the surrounding areas. Just fabulous!!! We managed to play all three courses at Blacklake and 18 holes at Avila Beach, visit the Guadelupe/Nipomo dunes and wildlife perserve, wineries and road trips as far as Morro Bay. In addition, we tried the various recommendations of eating places in the notebook. We have told all our friends about our find. We certainly want to return soon. Thank you making your condo feel like your own home.

We stayed in the two story condo. This place is a great value considering the ammenities, location, and it is immaculate. You need only to bring yourself...Candyce and Art have the condos fully stocked. Your home away from home. We saw both properties and both are exquisite. Great golf courses, and fantastic restaurants nearby. We even took the Amtrack to Santa Barbara for the day. We will definitely be back.

Blacklake Golf Resort is a beautiful area - rural, quiet and serene, with mature landscape. Our weather is great and lets us play golf year round. It's a short walk to the Blacklake pro shop or there are several courses nearby. It's a short drive to the San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria airports and about an hour to the Santa Barbara airport.
