Luxury oceanfront beach home in gated community Holden Beach

Luxury oceanfront home with spacious rooms and large windows with views of ocean and sound. 3 min walk to beach. Sheets, towels, beach towels, and beach chairs provided. A credit is provided toward beach gear with one week rentals April through October: bicycles, kayaks, surf boards, umbrellas, and beach wagons. Beach gear will be delivered upon arrival. NO PETS ALLOWED. Note that walkway to beach is now replaced with MobiMat. Photos coming soon.

Artist designed decor with lots of extras: private porch off master bedroom with rocking chair and chaise lounge overlooking sound, ocean front porch with rockers overlooking ocean and large expanse of uncrowded beach, MobiMat walkway to beach from home with private seating area and landing on dunes overlooking ocean.

Holden Beach is recognized by National Geographic Traveler Magazine as one of the 38 Best American Beaches and rated 9th out of all US beaches in the Family Beach category.

Quiet, private beach with wide expanse of unpopulated beach in front of house, convenient to Myrtle Beach, SC (40 mi.) and 35 area golf courses (see below for details). Gated community. One of few East Coast beaches that faces South and provides stunning views of the Sun setting in the West.

My home is one half of a duplex. The only shared space is the walkway to the beach. My home has its own ocean side porch, private deck off the master bedroom, and private landing on the dunes at the beach, as well as its own carport. For privacy, there is no access to the other side of the duplex, which is separately owned.
Golfing: Convenient to 35 area golf courses, including Lockwood Folly on the water and designated by Golf Digest as a 4-star Places to Play golf course, Rivers Edge, an Arnold Palmer designed challenging course along the Shallotte River, and Carolina National, a Fred Couples designed course with 27 holes.
Rental is Saturday to Saturday. If you prefer a different schedule, email the owner to request an individualized arrival/departure time.

Perfect Location & layout

This is i the 2nd year we've stayed at this house and already booked for next year. The location is awesome... nice and quiet in gated community at the end of West beach. The layout works really well for our family of 10.

This house is a perfect place to spend a week at the beach. It is spacious, has comfortable furniture and is stocked with every gadget you need in the kitchen.The owner is super responsive and even called us when we arrived to make sure we had gotten the information on how to get the keys.

Location

The house was everything as advertised with lots of convenient extras like beach towels and chairs. And the view was amazing. It was a very easy walk to the beach and being at the far west end gave a lot of beach even at high tide. We had a few little issues that the owner very quickly responded to. We look forward to another week there soon.

Very enjoyable

Everything was as advertised. Plenty of room, excellent location (away from the busier part of the island) and very comfortable. My only suggestion/constructive criticism is that the first floor bedroom was warmer than the rest of the home (especially at night when the door was closed for privacy). The many notes on different aspects of the property was much appreciated. As a side note (unrelated to the rental) i would recommend bug spray or scent avoidance to reduce no-see-um bites. I would definitely stay here and with this host again!

Love this property

We have stayed here 4 times so far and the location is perfect. Its on the W end of Holden Beach and it is perfect for us.

Great location and sweet home away from home

The location could not be better. Bc we were in a gated community, the strip of beaches were fairly empty in front of and around the house. It helped we were just out of peak season too. The house was nicely laid out. There was plenty of room for 10. Amenities were great, from beach accessories to needs in the kitchen. The king mattress was slightly lumpy but the other beds were quite comfortable. My young kiddo cried when we left bc she wanted to go back to her beach house… she had too much fun and didn’t want to leave quite yet.

Great spot

We had a great experience with this house in Holden Beach. It was fully stocked with anything you may need. The owner was very helpful and always available. The house was wonderful and the beach amazing!

Whitecaps West

Jan, the property owner, was great and so very easy to work with. We needed to shift our arrival and departure dates by one day and Jan worked with us with no problem. The property was as advertised. Perfect size for eight adults and three kids under the years old. Location was fantastic. We will seriously consider renting here again. Give Whitecaps West a serious look!

Relaxing Getaway

We had a relaxing time at White Caps at Holden Beach. The property being beachfront was ideal in these current times, and allowed for great days even when it was rainy. Upon arrival there were a couple issues with a smell of the linens and dirty paper towels being left on an ottoman, which I made the rental company aware of. The living room and kitchen area we nice and big, allowing for comfortable gatherings. I did feel like the sofas were quite worn and are ready to replaced. The master room is fairly bare bones and could also be improved. Of note, Holden doesn’t allow portable grills on the deck therefore the grill is a park style grill on the grass just below the deck. All in all it was a great place to get away and relax and we enjoyed our time. The owner is very personable and was very communicative during the booking process.

Great weekend stay!

Property is on a wonderful stretch of Holden Beach, great for families and the house was as advertised! Nice property with great views, loved our evenings on the back porch. Property is a little older but maintained well. House was pretty clean on arrival but we did find some things that could have used a little more attention. Overall, a great stay!!

Beautiful and Quiet

This is a very nice home and we loved the area I like that this rental includes linens and towels and that they are a good quality. The kitchen is stocked with just about everything you will need. There was a small issue with the dryer, called the rental company and the handyman was there is about a hour and fixed the problem. We loved the rockers on the porch but wished we were closer to the beach. We knew that it was a bit further than we are used to from the pictures but were surprised it made such a difference to us. This is a very nice home. You will be very pleased!

Family Reunion

We had a great time at Whitecaps West. There was plenty of room for six adults and three children. Easy access to the beach and the duplex came with everything you need for a week's stay. If you don't like a crowded beach this is the place to go. Kids had a great time and lots of sea shells to collect. Outdoor shower and hose were great for washing off the sand. Love the view from the sea side deck. Would do this again with a large group. Owner Jan White was great to work with and Coastal Vacations Resorts were very responsive when we had a need.

I spent every summer from age 12 at my family's beach home at Holden Beach. I have wonderful memories of those summers being joined at the beach by my aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from North and South Carolina. In 1996 I bought a newly built home of my own on the West End of the beach, where the privacy reminds me of my early days at Holden Beach.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

When I walk onto the beach from my home I can look both ways and see a beautiful unpopulated vista of white sand that stretches to the end of the beach to the West and several miles to the East. The water is warm for swimming, jumping waves, or body surfing. I can walk to the end of the beach from my home and find shells that have washed up. Because the West End of the beach has only two rows and the lots are large, it is quiet and I can relax and read on the beach by myself if I want or sit on the landing atop the dunes in front of my home. I can see the sunset from the landing. I also have a private porch off the Master bedroom that overlooks the sound and inland waterway on the other side of the house. I have water views from both sides of the house. If I want entertainment, especially for guests, there are lots of good golf courses and Myrtle Beach for the teenagers.
