Spacious, south-facing villa with spectacular views of the Mediterranean, set in a mature, child-friendly, green garden with beautiful large palm trees. Villa Estrella del Mar has a free form private pool, including air conditioning in upper bedrooms & super fast 5G Wifi - and is located in an exclusive residential neighborhood.

The moment you enter the front doo,r you will be impressed by the large, marble reception area and monumental, wrought iron stairway.
The villa is approximately 250 square meters and features a large BBQ & outdoor entertainment area, and has several terraces on various levels where you can enjoy the sun and the panoramic vistas. The beautiful, furnished living room opens up to the covered, south-facing dining terrace overlooking the garden and pool, and has the marvelous blue of the Mediterranean as a backdrop.
For our winter guests, we have central heating and a fireplace.


Costa Tropical: Villa Estrella del Mar is overlooking the blue Mediterranean and charming Salobrena, a typical white washed village with a historical Moorish castle on a rock. It is surrounded by sugarcane fields and fruit trees and has spectacular views in winter of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada.
Salobrena has a long beach with a promenade, many beachfront restaurants, and a golf course, but it still retains its unspoiled and original Spanish character.
This sunny part of Andalucia, called Costa Tropical, is well known for its exceptionally pleasant temperatures all year round. Salobreña has the warmest temperatures during the winter in Europe, due to its southern location and sheltered position behind the mountains of the Alpujaras and Sierra Nevada.

Very spacious, well furnished and well equipped.

The house is lovely and very spacious and extremely well equipped. There are lots of games to play and a big box of Lego that we found very quickly. The decor is very nice. The pool is nice but not deep enough for my boys to continue working on their diving. We made use of the communal pool which is much bigger and deeper and is quite quiet so our boys could have a bit more fun in that pool. The view is pleasant although a little spoilt by a big house directly in your eye line. We preferred to sit on the bedroom balcony of an evening. Both terraces are lovely to sit on though. The details say 5 minutes to the beach. It is actually takes 6 minutes to get to the house from the main road up a very windy road and then a further 5-10 minutes to get to the beach. The property manager Gill was very nice and helpful and on hand any time we needed her. Overall a lovely property.

Many thanks for your fine review. The pool in the garden is great to play in, float on an airbed and to cool off on a warm day. The large communal pool is indeed well suited to practice diving. An advantage of Salobrena is the variety of beaches, in atmosphere and distance, some nearby and others further away or more secluded. The beach of La Caleta is at the foot of the mountain and a very local experience. For sports fans it is worthwhile driving 10-15 mins to Playa Granada where -depending on the season- you can rent sailing boats, canoes and kite surf. The golfclub has its Los Moriscos clubhouse there as well which is great for lunch or happy hour to finish a fine day at the beach.

Die Villa ist toll ausgestattet und alles war wie beschrieben. Die Aussicht war grandios und auch den Pool haben wir jeden Tag genossen.

Huiselijk en net verblijf.

Zeer gezellige en ruime villa. Wij verbleven daar met 4 kleine kinderen die hebben genoten van met name het zwembad. Alles is voorhanden en je voelt je er al heel snel thuis. Een kleine opmerking is dat het van ons wel iets kindvriendelijker had gekund. Beschermde stopcontacten en hekjes voor de trappen. Verder was het fantastisch.

Welcome to my crib...was de reactie van onze kinderen (14, 18 en 20). Wat verder weg van het gebruikelijke uitgaansleven. Maar toch hebben ze het hier prima naar hun zin gehad en wij ook! Genieten van de zomeravonden met bbq, tafeltennissen, zwemmen en chillen in de hangmat.. en natuurlijk de omgeving verkennen. Wij vonden het fantastisch!

We loved it

From the moment you open the front door the villa takes your breath away.We took our daughters and their friends, ages ranging from 15 to 19 and no one wanted to leave after 2 weeks, 😞😞😞. The villa is as shown on the internet but cannot portray the relaxing ambience. The pool area is fantastic and the hammock a bonus, we used the barbecue and always ended our evenings on the outside terrace.We would definitely go back, this really is a "little"gem and Gillian the property manager was extremely friendly and helpful .

Summer Family Holiday

1 weeks family holiday with 3 kids from 13 to 6 years old, villa was perfect for all. 3 lovely bedrooms, great new kitchen, though not used much as there are so many wonderful restaurants close by. Great beaches to keep the kids happy close by. Lots of time spent relaxing by the pool in a quiet peaceful location. We recommend the villa and surrounding areas to all.

Amazing holidays !!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in august with my husband, our 2 teenagers and my mother. The Villa was perfectly equipped. The rooms were very comfortable and the swimming pool and the garden were very well maintened. The villa is very well located. 15 minutes from the most beautiful beaches of the Costa tropical. The supermarket is 10 minutes by car. We recommend the villa 100%.

Villa très agréable avec beau jardin

La villa Estrella del mar est très agréable, spacieuse et bien équipée. La terrasse extérieure est bien exposée. La piscine, située au milieu d'un jardin avec une végétation tropicale, est ensoleillée toute la journée. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable.

Great house, even better garden.

Very tastefully furnished and well equipped house with indeed wonderful views. The garden all around the house is such a treat for city people like us. It was sometimes hard to choose where to sit, so many good spots. We loved the big sized kitchen and cooking with the windows open, smelling the garden.... The area surrounding the villa, is quite and well taken care of (like a very regular garbage collection). Enjoyed the village of Salobrena and had dinner in Almunecar a few times, which has a good and energetic city atmosphere. And ofcourse a visit to Granada ....just one hour. Had a good time at the villa which is definitely also perfect for children: garden, pool, table tennis and there is even a big box of lego.

Do you enjoy life?

If you enjoy life, there are lots of things that help enjoying it more. A stay in Salobrena, Spain in this wonderful Villa Estrella del Mar certainly does attribute. We stayed there several days with a family with three children in the age of 14-17. The Villa itself has got a warm and tasteful atmosphere. The view is remarkable and the outings to the sea, the coastal line and villages and cities don't take a long drive. If you want to feel at home, want to interchange relaxation and excitement, I can recommend this Villa Estrella del Mar for the full 100%

Brilliant getaway in spain, family-friendly :)

Villa Estrella Del Mar is a beautiful house that will replace your home in Salobrena, Spain! As soon as you arrive you'll be taken away by the stunning and well kept garden, grand entrance hall, a living room that feels like home with comfortable couches, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms welcome you with fresh scented sheets and pillows, and the bathrooms are all so so stunning with traditional mediteranean decorations. The two bedrooms on the second floor are equipped with a remote controllable air conditioner for comfort. Nevertheless, the bedroom on ground level has many windows that you can leave open all night and enjoy a breeze. Most importantly, this house offered many facilities to keep my children happy. If they weren't playing a match of table tennis, they would be either in the pool, playing in the garden, picking fresh fruit from the trees, making fruit juices, playing football or playing board games. So as far as activities are concerned, you name it and it will be there. My wife and I like to be active and exercise every other day, so the beautiful hiking trails and community tennis courts gave us plenty of options. But first and foremost, we came to unwind and forget our busy working life for a week, and to have some family time. This villa gave us more than we could hope for, waking up and opening the shutters to the balcony with the tremendous seaview never got old! We definitely miss it when we think back to it! All in all, my stay there was very comfortable, and it definitely felt like a new home in the South of Spain! I'd definitely recommend it to those looking for a relaxed, romantic or familial vacation/get-away in Southern Spain.

Sehr schöne Villa mit hervorragender Ausstattung

Das Haus ist gepflegt und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Ausblick grandios. Unseren Kindern (15 und 10 Jahre alt) hat es ebenso gut gefallen wie uns. Beschreibung und Fotos passen 100%, die Organisation hat bestens funktioniert, sehr netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin. Wir würden jederzeit wieder mieten.
