Our home is in the residential High Valley area of Packwood, surrounded by the natural beauty of the PNW giving you a perfect getaway. Packed with amenities, Wifi, Sling, Netflix Hulu, fully stocked kitchen, pool/game room, pet-friendly, large deck, Traeger grill, fire pit sitting area, walking distance to two nearby waterfalls. 25-30 minutes away to Mt. Rainier & White Pass Ski for hiking, skiing, and many outdoor activities. Feel right at home away from home at our 'Packwood Pad'

The space
Come and enjoy the mountain fresh air !! Home is located in a great location, offering you to venture out or stay cozy, yet feel like you're in the middle of it all around you. Our 'Pad' includes all the comforts of home, including WiFi, 55" Samsung TV in the living room and 45" HD TV in the Pool/game room, both, Netflix, Hulu Live, Roku & more, TV in master bedroom w/ VHS and DVD player & Roku. Two bedrooms on the main level, Master w/ king size bed, Queen in the 2nd bedroom. Upper lofts; front loft has queen & twin, back loft has queen, full and twin. The kitchen is furnished with everything you will need to prepare meals - utensils, pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, bowls, etc. There is also a french press, drip coffee maker, microwave, crockpot, and blender. Two bathrooms; one connected to master bedroom with 2 sinks, TUB and toilet, second main bathroom is downstairs with Shower, sink and toilet. We have A/C in the upstairs sleeping areas and in living room for those hot summer days! Game room has a pool table, sitting area and vintage slot machine, other family games, puzzles, etc in hall closet,
We are dog-friendly; provide dog bed, toys, leashes, & treats
For children we provide a play-n-pak, baby gate, high chair, baby bath supplies, and toys/games.
Outside: large deck, Cedar soaking hot tub, Traeger grill and sitting area around fire pit to relax and roast smores, Outside shed also offers storage for bikes, ski's, golf clubs, etc.

Guest access
Guests will be able to access the entire home, as well as the yard and fire pit. Swimming pools (seasonal) and golf available at the High Valley Country Club for a small fee.

Other things to note
Our home has 2 bathrooms, master bathroom has 2 sinks, toilet and TUB only, the main bathroom has shower, sink and toilet. ( just making note as several guests overlooked, for bigger groups showers will need to be staggered.
The swimming pools are open from Memorial Day to just after Labor Day. If you would like to use the country club facilities please let us know at the time of your booking. Guest permission slips need to be completed 48 hours prior to use of the facilities. It is $10 per person per day to swim, and $20 per person per day to golf.
Guests may want to print out directions before traveling, as many cell phone providers such as Sprint and AT&T don't work here in Packwood due to the relaxing remote area.

Please drive careful when coming into Packwood, as there are many elk herds roaming amongst town.

Had a great time at the Packwood Pad! Plenty of room, quick access to downtown Packwood and White Pass, and the porch soaking tub was the icing on the cake after a long day of skiing.

Great Group Gathering

Used this as a home base for skiing at White Pass. Excellent location and the house was well setup for us. Lots of amenities and plenty of space for spreading out the group. The game room was awesome.

Fantastic Family Trip

We had a fabulous stay at Packwood Pad! The house was very clean and well laid out for us and our adult children and spouses. The pool table was great fun, and having firewood for the inside wood stove was a great touch! Close to White Pass! Thanks!

Mini ski vacation

Property was clean and surprisingly spacious. All 8 of us could find quiet space when needed. The game room was a hit and the living room was big enough for everybody to comfortably gather in. We would love to stay again.

Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cozy Packwood cabin. We arrived to a warm, Christmas tree lit home with plenty of beds and most of the comforts of home. It worked perfectly for our family of 5 with 4 adults and a one year old. We loved it!

Great stay for multigenerational family

We had a great time at the Packwood Pad, which served as our base for Mt. Rainier. The house was close enough to town to grab a bite to eat or supplies at the local (albiet small) market, but still felt remote with adequate peace & quiet. We appreciated the fans that were supplied as we arrived during a heatwave. We also enjoyed the soaking tub, and the comfortable atmosphere of the house. We'd definitely recommend this place or stay again.

Great spot to catch up with friends and get out into nature.

Friends and family enjoyed our stay in this home. Plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 kids. The separate game room was nice because we could be a bit louder after the kids went to bed. Beautiful main room with dining area. We opted to drive to the end of Cannon Rd and hike from there. It was an easy hike for our small children down to the river.

Impressive!

We spent the 4th of July holiday at "the pad." We were awed when we walked in at both the eye appeal and the freshness. This place is so much bigger than it seemed from the pictures. Two people almost get lost in the space. We were further impressed by the diversity of cooking items in the kitchen--both a pressure cooker and a slow cooker, with two grills outside to boot! Our only disappointment was the busy roadway so close to the house, but the overall luxury far outweighed that drawback. Communicating with the host was incredibly easy and fast. The description here understates how nice this place is.

Homey Spring Ski getaway!

We really enjoyed the house and the town of packwood. First day we had elk right across the street, the cedar soak hot tub was phenomenal and helped much after a long day snowboarding! The house had a COMPLETEY full game closet and a pool table! We mustā€™ve just missed the slot machine it wasnā€™t there when we visited. Itā€™s hard to feel at home away from home but this rental was great, in every aspect. They had some kid stuff and dog stuff, I almost wish I brought my dog but now know for next year! We will be back!

2nd time here, we'll be back for a 3rd

This is the 2nd time we have rented this home. That should say how much we liked it. We chose this because of its relative closeness to the White Pass Ski Area and the hot tub. This year we were a party of 7 adults. The home is very comfortable to hang out in. The big living area had ample room for all of us. Using the hot tub was really nice after a day of skiing. Things to consider is that there are 2 bathrooms. The one off of the master bedroom has a bath/no shower. The main bathroom has a shower. This was not an issue for us. Communication with the owner/manager was excellent. It seemed that I had a response almost immediately after hitting send. (not really, but the response was super quick) Couldn't be happier. Everyone with me has told me they want to do this again next year.

Ski weekend

The house is very nice. Fun toys for kids. Only issue was dishwasher was broken and leaked on kitchen floor. Not the owners fault it broke but would have been nice to know that was not going to be working since we had a full house. Good communication with the owner about it. We would stay there again!

Perfect for Family & Great Access to Skiing

Perfect amenities for our family of four. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The washer & dryer were new & it was so nice to be able to do laundry. The beds were very comfortable and came with cozy linens. We loved soaking in the cedar soaking tub after skiing. Easy access to White Pass. Would love to stay again!

Beautiful, relaxing oasis

Amazing experience at the Packwood Pad :) Hardly left the property! The soaking tub, wood burning stove, and comfy atmosphere was all we needed. The host sent us a video clip for directions from home to a waterfall just a 20min walk (or less!). All the amenities of home and more. Would love to come back!!
