This is a very beautiful house very close to the sea in a quiet place not far from the port of Aegina. It's a great opportunity to live like locals in a peaceful and safe neighborhood, not a "touristy" place: buy freshly-baked bread from a friendly grocer, watch the sunset from the terrace, go for a walk along the sea. On the other hand - just five minutes by car and you are in the town of Aegina, full of small cosy tavernas, local designer shops and yachts in the port.
The villa is really close to the sandy beach, less than a minute's walk and there are towels and beach chairs for use. The sea is clean and turquoise, shallow near the shore which is great for kids. The house is vey clean and comfortable, with everything you may need and even more. There is a small garden around the house and an open veranda in the garden to have meals and have rest.
The owner lives in the same house upstairs, she is very kind, discreet and interesting to talk to!
The island has a lot to offer - you may go and see the remains of the medieval town in the mountains, archeological site of Aphea Temple or visit a museum of modern sculpture - full information on what to see and do on the island is available in the house, with the useful telephone numbers and names of shops and tavernas.
Большой красивый дом с садом очень близко от моря - пляж совсем крошечный, практически на дороге, но песчаный, очень чистый и практически безлюдный (купается только несколько местных пенсионеров и мам с детьми). В этом месте нет туристов, что для нас было большим плюсом, очень спокойно, рядом, в шаговой доступности, булочная со свежим хлебом каждое утро и основным набором продуктов.
Владельцы очень предупредительны, дружелюбны, готовы помочь, совсем не мешают. Мы ездили с тремя шумными детьми - и чувствовали себя как дома!
На острове есть, что посмотреть и куда съездить. Очень красивый порт, вкуснейшее домашнее фисташковое мороженое, фисташковые рощи и горы в центре острова, отлично сохранившийся храм Афеи - первый классический храм в Греции.
