This beautifully decorated Cortez home is just minutes to Anna Maria Island and the gulf beaches. Not feeling the sand today, no problem! Relax out back at the large private pool or take a nap on the large comfortable outdoor sectional in front of the pool TV. We are located close to the Cortez Fishing Village, beach shops, several restaurants, live music, boat & jet ski rental shops! We pride ourselves on the guest experience, so let us help you fall in love with the place we call home!

About the House:
Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: Queen over Queen Bunk bed | Additional Sleeping (Living Room): Sectional Sofa | Sectional Sofa (Sitting Room) | Single Bed Pullout Ottoman |

Upon arrival, you’ll immediately be welcomed to the Florida beach life with our shell yard. You'll enjoy relaxing in this newly renovated and furnished home, with plenty of room to spread out. The open concept home features two seperate living rooms with large sectionals for relaxing and great conversation. The TV room has a large 55" Smart TV, that is logged into some of your favorite apps for watching your favorite shows.

Take a dip in the covered pool or cuddle up on our large outdoor sectional in front of another 55" Smart TV. The pool is not heated.

Don't feel like dining out? No problem! Head to the fully equipped kitchen and prepare a home-cooked meal for your family. Eat your meal on the pool deck or head inside and take a seat at the 6 person dining table or 4 person breakfast bar with barstools.

As the night winds down, choose one of the brand new plush Queen or King beds in one of the 3 bedrooms. Additional sleeping can be found on one of the two sectional sofas or pull out the single bed in the pullout ottoman. Once again, our goal is always 5 star service and are here to help in any way. Please note, the house has a key pad entry and each guests receives their own unique code that is active for their stay. Property also has a Ring video door bell, which helps during check in if needed as well as home entry monitoring. Look forward to hosting you in beautiful Bradenton, Florida!

Beautiful home

We had a fantastic time. Great hosts who were very responsive. The house was well stocked, plenty of storage and space, and great pool area. We were close to the beaches, and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful experience

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We’ve enjoyed every experience here. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 as well as our small dog. The property was equipped with more than we could have needed. Highly recommend!

Clean and Close to beaches

This house was very clean and had all amenities for our 6 night stay. There was one mechanical issue and the owners fixed it promptly. You are very close to Anna Maria Island from this property. The only drawback is its close proximity to a busy, noisy road.

Overall good experience.

Our stay was overall a great experience. The only cons from this rental was the location to the main road, it was very noisy at all times of day and night. The furniture was a bit wobbly.

Great location

We had a great 3 night stay and enjoyed staying at the Shell House. We got there late the first night (flight delay), but the kids still jumped in the pool before heading off to bed. House is just over the bridge from Anna Maria Island and we had no issues with traffic during our stay, which we loved. We also ate at nearby Swordfish Grill and the Cortez Cafe, which were amazing, and parked at Coquina Beach two days in a row with no issue. House is comfortable and has everything you need. We'll definitely stay again if needed as it was less than 20 minutes from the airport, as well.

Another good week!

This is our second time renting at this location. We absolutely love this house! The kids stayed in the pool all week. Very spacious and clean! Had a little mix up with the code but we got it fixed right away!! We had a wonderful vacation for Christmas! We will be renting here again!! Thank you for such a good time!

Short drive to everything

Comfortable stay with a clean pool and a comfortable bed in the Master suite. The owners were easy to get a hold of and communicate with. A very short drive to beaches and restaurants and an even shorter drive to shopping centers. The closest we could get to being on the beach without bein gon the beach. We would recommend this home . Our only complaint was a stiff sliding door to the back patio. Otherwise thank you for a wonderful stay.

everything the website said about the shell house was true.great location to the beaches and parks.we had one small problem with a tv remote and a new one was furnished that day. pool didn't need to be heated, was 82 everyday. lots of room and parking in garage made it east unloading. will stay again if need be. thank you for opening your property to us.

Nice house but needs some repairs

We love the layout of the Shell house and all that it had to offer. We picked it based on its size and location. When we arrived we were told to text with any questions or concerns. We noticed immediately that the house was in need of some repairs but we are not picky. The first was that the leak shower in the master bathroom. It had a terrible loud flowing drip that could be heard all the way in the living room. When I texted the owners about it they were already aware from last person's stay and said they couldn't get anyone out until later that week. I was very understanding even though the loud drip kept me up at night and was annoying. We also had issues with our master bathroom light not coming on correctly. I dont like that we weren't informed of these issues ahead of time. The pool was nice even though it is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. After our stay I was informed of a claim they that was filed by them through Vrbo that we had apparently damaged the screen door latch. This latch was already broken when we stayed there. The screws had fallen out as it is a very old latch. The latch kit costs very little at home depot to repair (we are very aware of these repairs as my husband does remodels) and yet they filed a claim for a ridiculous amount !! They have several people going in and out of that door including the pool cleaner and yard cleaners and yet we were blamed. Also, the yard service came at 8am the day we were checking out and were trimming trees as we packed up our car getting debree everywhere. Please take pictures of everything you see upon arrival because these owners will accuse you of the repairs that need done and file claims for you or the insurance to pay. Never have I ever had this happened and I've rented dozens of times. Very annoyed.

Suzanne, we are sorry that after we filed our claim against your damages, you decided to coincidentally find some issues with our home. However, the damages, the mess and the ignoring of the house rules, led us to our decision. We thank you for your stay and will learn from this experience and ultimately become better hosts from it.

A great family home!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The host did a wonderful job at preparing the home for us. We have a 3 and 7 year old, who lived in the pool. There were floats and toys there that they enjoyed. My 7year thought the coolest part was, being able to watch a movie outside while she was lounging in the pool. We spent most of our time out there. We did get bit up the first night, from the no-see-ums. After a little bug spray it was the most enjoyable time. The location was great. Close to the beach, stores, and restaurants. It was wonderful, and we would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay in Bradenton, FL! The Shell House was beautiful and comfortable. There were two large living areas as well as an outdoor seating area and tv. There was a fenced in area for our dog. The pool was wonderful. Everything was very clean. The house was only a couple of miles from the beaches on Anna Marie Island and several restaurants. The owners responded to all our needs. I would definitely stay there again.

Visiting the Granbabies!

The positives: Communication was OUTSTANDING!!! With every question or concern we had they were quick to answer. The home has a fantastic layout, the small table and chairs were perfect for our granbabies to eat their meals and snacks and having a tile floor made cleaning up after them very easy. Beds were comfy, AC kept us cool on the hot days. The pool was smaller in person than in pictures but was a perfect size. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again!!! Things that would've made our stay a bit more enjoyable: storage containers or saran wrap/foil for leftovers, a pancake flipper type spatula, labeling the Roku remotes-was tricky finding the right remote for the right tv. What bummed us out: the mural by the pool you see in pictures is no longer there. We were looking forward to photo opportunities. Restaurant to check out: Tide Tables is on the water just down the road towards the beach on the same side as the home before you cross the bridge and they have THE BEST Grouper Bites!!!

The one complaint we have is the back yard was not maintained well. Our dogs were in weeds and tall grass for most of our visit, really annoying pulling little stickers from plants out of their fur every time they had to potty. Other tan that, the neighborhood was nice to walk our dogs in early in the morning or late in the evening. Short drive to the beaches. Inside of house was very clean and beds were comfortable. The kitchen could use more cooking utensils and a larger frying pan. The owners were great to work with and responded quickly! Great place to stay for families or couples vacationing together!

Great time!

We enjoyed our stay! We loved sitting outside watching movies and swimming. The pool isn’t heated so it was cold some days. We felt that the home is in need of some repairs and upgrades. Make sure to bring your own detergent, extra paper towels, extra toilet paper and extra kitchen bags. We ran out of the starter supplies early in the week. There is a grocery store nearby but had I known we would need to bring our own, I would’ve planned for it. The location is close to the beaches but gets loud at night. We used a white noise machine app on our phones which helped. Also, if you are able to plan ahead and bring your own bikes or rent them, we would highly encourage that since traffic can get heavy traveling to the beaches. The home has a nice open floor plan and nice privacy. The beds were really comfortable!

Amazing home!

This was my first VRBO stay. The owner made sure before we even left our home that we were made aware of some different things. She was very straightforward and open. Our big family fit comfortably in this home. The pictures do not show how bit it really is! I was impressed! The pool isn't heated! I wish I could say that was the worst part of my first visit to Florida! It was the worst part of the house! But we did go in November! The pool side lounge was great! We made the boys play their video game out there. The beds were super comfortable and I fell asleep so quick every night and I am a long time insomniac! Being outside is a little loud but nothing that bothered us. We never heard much while sleeping and we didn't have a fan! If this house wasn't in Florida, I'd rent it every time I could. But I made my mind up that I won't go to Florida again! Rent this house. You will not be disappointed!!!

A great place to stay!

We had such a great time at the Shell House (Memory Lane Home). Christina and her husband were very welcoming and checked in when we arrived. Everything was clean, rooms were perfect, pool and lounge area outside were a perfect treat! Nothing but great things to say! Can’t wait to visit again!
