Private Luxury Oasis Cottage, Heated Salt Water Pool and Spa

Charming private cottage located behind the main house in the heart of Old Southwest Reno. A private entrance leads past the seasonal heated salt water pool to the cottage. Once inside, you will be surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully manicured gardens and roses, with access to a field of grass for running and playing. Unwind in the spa with a self-filtering water system that offers a unique hydro-massage.

The space
Exposed natural beams, tongue & groove wood work and two walls of windows welcome you into the cottage. A full-sized refrigerator, two-burner cook top, sink with disposal and stainless steel island are available for your cooking needs. The bathroom is stocked with Aveda toiletries and cozy terrycloth robes for optimal relaxation.

Guest access
Guests have access to the heated salt water pool (Mid April through October 15, weather permitting) two full-size pool lounge chairs, cottage veranda with two seating areas, manicured gardens, grassy area and self-filtered spa with hydro-massage jets open year round. Inside the cottage, the entire space and bathroom are private. The cottage and the whole outdoor area with pool, spa, seating areas, and gardens are exclusively for the use of the registered Cottage guests. We will welcome you in and then leave you to your privacy.

We had a fabulous stay with a wonderful host! Luisa answered questions we had about the area and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We were able to use the beautiful pool and relax on the comfortable furniture around the property. The roses in the garden were gorgeous! What a lovely place to stay for three days before venturing to Lake Tahoe to vacation with family.

A hidden oasis in a very quiet neighborhood.

Spectacular outdoor area was relaxing and beautiful. We ate evening meals/snacks outside while enjoying the gardens. The details and design of both the inside and outside spaces of the bungalow were well appointed. The location was easy to access and quick to get to from anywhere in town. We didn't want to leave. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Reno.

Amazing owners!

Due to extreme weather conditions Reno was inaccessible and I had to cancel my stay. But I am writing this as a compliment to the owners who could not have been more gracious and communicative both with myself and VRBO to facilitate. I will definitely rebook once the Reno airport reopens! Luisa has a lot of integrity and kindness and I cannot imagine another host handling this as gracefully.

After breaking our house rules and never responding to me or to Vrbo, after leaving freshly cut hair all over the place and requesting an extra night that has not been paid for you have the audacity to say the property was horrible. We have 5 starts from all our guests. It figures why you only have one star after experiencing your visit. You were a horrible guest. Pay your extra extra night!!

terrible experience

I have a dog, he is a service dog, anyone who has an animal with that kind of help will understand me. Locals are obliged by law to house these animals, as soon as I arrived at the accommodation, the owner saw my dog on camera and said that he could not enter at property so I explained that he is a service animal. But she didn't care, and she didn't want to accommodate him. So I took my dog to a pet friendly hotel where he would stay for the entire stay. I told the owner that he wasn't with me and even so, she canceled the reservation. My dog did not enter the house. The owner of this establishment certainly does not know how to deal with people, as well as the house is located at the back of another house. I do not recommend.

I had to rebook this guest 4 times in the last 2 months. I did everything I could to accommodate her including loosing a booking because of her. She’s new to the platform and didn’t read anything I sent her regarding house rules. Had she mentioned she had a dog I would have told her that I have severe allergies and can’t breathe. And I wouldn’t have accepted the booking. From the moment the guest stepped foot on the property she was breaking house rules. Vaping and bringing a pet. Both of which are clearly stated that are not allowed. She never once mentioned she had a service dog nor registered it on this site like you are supposed to. She called it a companion dog when I told her it wasn’t allowed. TO MY SHOCK SHE SAID SHE’D LEAVE IT IN THE CAR !!!! It was bellow freezing and temperature dropping quickly. It was quiet obviously it wasn’t a companion or a service dog. After lying to me and breaking rules I didn’t feel comfortable nor could I trust her as a guest.

Best Ever Reno Visit.

My fiancé and I had the best time in Reno and it was mainly because of the cottage we stayed at. The property is amazing, peaceful, beautiful and welcoming. From checking in to leaving was one of the most easiest experiences. Didn’t want to leave. The cottage is so lovely! Felt at home and even had a wonderful home cooked dinner with the use of the barbeque. Will definitely come back again!!

Secluded without being secluded

The property is very private but yet in a nice residential neighborhood. The gardens were nice and we enjoyed the hot tub. It is a very short trip to casinos or downtown and convenient to get in the highway to go to Lake Tahoe. I would stay here again if in Reno

A Little Slice of Heaven on Earth

This property is exactly as described in the title. It’s such a cute little cottage on beautiful grounds. Luisa and Buddy we excellent hosts with prompt and great communication. Lovely Oasis In Excellent Location

Beautiful property with AMAZING garden, yard, and pool! We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at this property which is full of positive energy and thoughtful attention to detail. The accommodation is well-appointed and has stunning views of the expansive gardens, patios, and pool. Really one couldn't ask for a more peaceful oasis, especially so close to the top restaurants and bars in Midtown Reno.

A gem

This property is a total gem. We were in Reno for a club volleyball tournament for my teenage daughter, which is always busy and exhausting and I just wanted to be away from the smoky casino scene. I found this property online and it far exceeded my expectations. My daughter's teammates and families were extremely envious to see the pictures of our home away from home! The cottage is right in the owners' backyard, which is clear from the listing, and Luisa is just as others have said -- she cheerfully greeted us upon arrival (after sending an email that laid out the check-in process and property expectations AND quickly answering additional questions I had about the area). Afterward she left us to our complete privacy, although when we had a couple of hiccups, such as a dead battery in the fireplace thermostat, she responded instantly and took care of the issue as soon as humanly possible. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable, perfectly spacious for two or even 3 people if you use the sofa bed, as we did. The yard is gorgeous and the neighborhood adorable -- we managed a couple of pleasant walks and had some good meal nearby. We will certainly return when we are in Reno again!

The studio is very well furnished , immaculately clean, and quiet. I stayed there for two weeks while I attended a training and the hosts were very welcoming but unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

Private Resort Stay!

Staying here was a little slice of heaven! Louisa, the Host, is amazing, great communicator. She has gone the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The huge property is beautifully landscaped and private - lights everywhere - very magical! Just like staying in your own private resort with hammocks, tons of comfy seating areas, beautiful heated pool and hot tub! The cottage is extremely well appointed and immaculate, softest bed and beautiful linens, has everything you need for a wonderful getaway or staycation! We spent most of our vacation at the cottage as it is so comfy and relaxing and did not want to leave!!
