Nestled in over 140 acres of wooded hills with a 5-acre, fully stocked, private lake, The Inn at Brandywine offers all the amenities of home in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Guests enjoy the use of a fully equipped, full-sized kitchen as well as a second kitchenette on the lower level. There's separate TV room and living area, 2 full bathrooms and a working stone fireplace. Queen-sized beds in each of the five bedrooms, high-speed WiFi and FireTV televisions on each level are just a few of the extras that make your stay special. One queen sofa sleeper allows the Inn to comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. Outside, fishing, hiking, bird watching or just relaxing lakeside make this secluded spot a refreshing alternative to the usual hotel stay.

Last minute booking to attend a funeral in the area. Host communicated with us making sure everything from check-in to check-out and everything in between was perfect. The sense of pride not only for the property but also for us as guest made us feel more like family and not just tenants, it meant a lot to our family. The property itself was amazing inside and out. We are looking forward to booking future trips.

Check in is simple and very well communicated. As one who loves to cook, I also appreciate the spacious kitchen and grill. The pantry contains a plethora of dishes and spices; it reminds me of a grandma's pantry, full of love and character. Considering this is my third time staying at The Inn at Brandywine, it is starting to feel like home away from home, but without the everyday distractions. The home and property provide space for gathering and space for alone time. The group of friends who came with us absolutely loved it. As a minister who needs time away sometimes, I have found that the Inn at Brandywine is absolutely perfect!

Beautiful Get Away

Had a group in town for a sporting event and we all enjoyed staying at the cabin in the meantime. It had great, clean, and spacious accommodations. Fire pit was well enjoyed.

Wonderful location. The pond was very enjoyable. Peaceful and quiet. The owner was kind and responsive. It mentions 2 pull out beds, there was only one and that one was very uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not working. The cheap lawn chair shattered and bruised up my back. Could not use the garage and it has black plastic wall divider which was odd. Slightly above average rating in cleanliness and newness. It has security cameras on the grounds which is understandable but feels big brother like. If looking for a fishing lodge or above cabin level comfort, newness, and quality, this is perfect.

Repeat Visit

After our stay in 2024, we decided to book again for 2025 for our annual sister weekend getaway. On Saturday our kids and grandkids came up for the day. Although the weather was cold and rainy, the house was big enough to easily accommodate us. The adults enjoyed sitting around the dining room table and in the living room while the little ones had a blast downstairs. We made some wonderful memories at the Inn and hope to be back again.

Peaceful Getaway

The weather did not cooperate, but we had a great weekend nonetheless. The cottage was very cozy and clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing for several memorable meals with our friends.

Inn at Brandywine

Beautiful property with a beautiful lake. We were there in winter so did not use the outside amenities but the snow on the lake was perfect. House is well stocked with essentials. Interesting, quirky old family home. Probably could use hangers in closets and well lit reading areas when confined inside in winter. The winding road can be a bit scary for people not used to this type of terrain.

Beautiful Serene Locale

Property was as described on the website. Roomy, lots of space so we didn't have to be on top of each other, both indoor and outdoors. Clean and well-appointed. The occasional rain and humidity kept us from taking advantage outdoor space as much as we had hoped to. We cooked our meals in the evening. Nice sized pantry with just about everything we needed. All in all, very pleased with our stay. Host was very responsive and inviting.

This home is great

This is our fifth year at this home. Young and old enjoy the trails, creek walking with an adult, rowing, and exploring the creeks that enter and leave the lake. The house is spacious and allows for playing games in several locations so noise and talk do not disturb others. The view of the lake from the upper deck is beautiful. It is quiet at night which helps with a good nights rest. We love our stay!!!

Perfect for a family stay

The place was beautiful. It had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting outside having a picnic lunch while watching the ducks swim in the lake. There was plenty of room inside for us to spread out and visit as well. The hosts were easy to work with and had great communication. We were located just up the road from Steubenville and it was easy to get back to town. I would highly recommend a stay at The Inn at Brandywine.

Relaxing area

This was such a beautiful area to stay. The owners are so readily available and so nice. If you love to fish, you are going to be surprised how big the fish are there! It was a very relaxing week and the decks were especially great to sit out on and talk. The beds were super comfortable and we had more than enough bedding and towels. They even had cleaning stuff in the closet. The Inn is also close to stores and restaurants. If you want a quiet, beautiful area to stay at, go to the Inn at Brandywine.

Great sister/family getaway

My sisters and I chose the Inn at Brandywine for its location and privacy. It was absolutely perfect for us. We enjoyed the large and well stocked kitchen. Although the weather was wet and dreary, we were warm and cozy inside. Hope to make this our annual getaway!

Easter with college age daughter

We rented this home to visit our daughter who is in college nearby. We enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Brandywine. The home was furnished nicely. The owners were responsive when a need arose. There were unexpected conveniences such as a charging station for devices and fresh flowers, among other things. The lake was enjoyed by my husband and boys who like to fish. We also enjoyed the movie selection, games, back deck which gets perfect midday sun, and the streaming apps available on the television. We enjoyed our stay and would return if available for our next visit.

Wonderful stay at Brandywine Inn

Me and my wife just spent three wonderful nights at the Brandywine Inn. For starters the Inn is extremely clean and well maintained. The Inn sits on 100 beautiful acres. The views are stunning. The Lake is absolutely incredible. We spent each night just relaxing and building a campfire in front of the lake. They have a boat you can use but that’s not our thing so we passed on that. Communication with the owners was very easy , and they answer questions quickly. Do yourself a favor and visit here soon! We will be returning in the summer with our kids. On a side note make sure you read the families history they share with you on their website. It’s an incredible story and will make you appreciate the home even more. Thanks Brandywine for an incredible stay.

What a gem!

What an incredible stay we had. Charming home with every amenity you could think of. Super wi-fi, and a docking station for every gadget. Important for us four pastors. Great kitchen and living space, everything was so well stocked and welcoming. Lots and lots of room. We made time for games, fishing, boating, and sitting around a campfire. Oh, my goodness we did not want to leave. We're definitely going to book this home again for some more blessed rest and quiet!

A fantastic place for our son's wedding weekend!

Thank you for opening your home to us for our wedding celebration weekend. It was a perfect place for our family to gather and relax together during an otherwise hectic weekend! So much space to relax and enjoy our time together! The owners were EXTREMELY responsive and helpful! I'd definitely recommend the property!

a wonderful retreat

We stayed for a few days in sept. while we visited my daughter in Stuebenville. The house was lovely. it is situated on a small lake in a very picturesque location. The evenings were very quiet and peaceful. I definitely will return to this property when we visit in the future.
