The Canyon Creek Cabin

Escape to Canyon Creek, a peaceful creekside retreat where the sounds of flowing water replace the noise of everyday life. Nestled on six private acres at the meeting of two beautiful creeks, this comfortable home is the perfect place to reconnect with family, unwind with friends, or explore everything Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon region has to offer.

Inside, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms and one full bathroom with a walk-in shower, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. The spacious living areas invite you to relax after a day of hiking, biking, fishing, or exploring nearby Wellsboro and the Pine Creek Rail Trail.

The true highlight of Canyon Creek is the outdoors. Spend your mornings enjoying coffee on the expansive 400-square-foot screened porch while listening to the creek. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit under the stars, grill dinner, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. Anglers can fish directly from the property, and wildlife sightings are common throughout the year.

Adventure is just minutes away. The home is located only two miles from the Pine Creek Rail Trail, one of Pennsylvania's premier biking and hiking destinations, approximately 15 miles from Wellsboro, and close to Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon, state parks, kayaking, fishing, hunting, and thousands of acres of public game lands.

Guests appreciate the home's easy accessibility with no steps to enter the house, no interior stairs, wide 36-inch doorways, and a low walk-in shower.

Whether you're planning a family vacation, a couples' getaway, a fishing trip, or a relaxing weekend in nature, Canyon Creek offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and outdoor adventure.

Please Note:

Sleeps up to 6 guests.
Dogs are welcome with prior approval and a pet fee.
An outdoor security camera monitors the driveway for guest safety.
A home addition is currently underway to create a larger kitchen and second bathroom. Construction is not active during guest stays, and the existing home and outdoor amenities remain fully private for your enjoyment.

The cabin was perfect and had everything you could possibly need. It was very comfortable and was so nicely decorated! Great outside firepit area with nice gliders. The screened in porch was awesome with plenty of seating and rocking chairs!

The cabin was very nice and well equipped. It is in an excellent location for hiking and related outdoor activities, and not far from Wellsboro for a night out. The property is large, so plenty of room for a dog to run.

Family Vacation

Wonderful mountain property close to PA Grand Canyon. Themed decorations in the various rooms added to the ambiance. Large screened in porch was a peaceful way to start the day and watch the wildlife.

Wonderful! Cabin had everything imaginable. Spacious master bedroom with comfortable bed. Modern kitchen, bathrooms. Comfy living room and gathering spaces. Fire pit and creek for fishing and dogs frolicking. Plenty of privacy and plenty of room. Beautiful modern cabin.

Peaceful getaway

Lovely home in a peaceful setting. Close to walking trails. House is very well appointed….they have everything you need and then some. The owner is super responsive. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Great cabin in a private location

Comfortable cabin on its own multi-acre lot that backs up to Babb Creek. We enjoyed the firepit and rocking on the big screened porch. Owners are renovating and making it even nicer. Short drive to the Rsill Trail and 25 minutes from the cool town of Wellsboro.

The house is cozy and comfortable despite any signs of ongoing renovations. It didn't bother us at all. The property is well stocked with everything you may need during your stay. Grounds are well maintained and our stay was very comfortable. One thing to add is that the house's outside appearance is better than that on the photos (images are somewhat older and renovations are ongoing).

Wonderful cabin

Pam and Mike were beyond wonderful ! They were accommodating and their cabin was perfect for a family weekend away. Pam went above and beyond during our communication with recommendations and even offered to make us dinner reservations. What a great experience ! We Would definitely come back.

A "Get-Away" in Northern PA

We found the cabin to be everything we were hoping for. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. Our family of four adults, one child and a dog had plenty of space to relax and from this location we enjoyed fun activities in nature (PA Grand Canyon and the Rail Trail) and the town of Wellsboro. We highly recommend this cabin and the hospitality of Pam and Mike.

Amazing Canyon Creek Cottage

This cabin was everything we could have asked for and then some. Beautifully decorated, updated and maintained. The listing pictures just don’t do it justice. The owners were more than accommodating and made every aspect of our stay a piece of cake. Perfect location for exploring the canyon but so much to do right on the property. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer!!! Can’t wait to get back up there!!!!

Peaceful!

Our stay at Canyon Creek Cabin was most enjoyable! Pam and Mike were wonderful hosts. The cabin was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Fresh eggs in the fridge and little snacks on the counter! The hosts thought of everything you might need. The location was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful firepit with plenty seating. Would not hesitate to revisit!!

Great property, great communication

Beautiful natural setting along Babb Creek with tons of outdoor activities on the property and nearby. Very close to Gillespie Point if you're into a challenging hike, and very close to the Pine Creek Rail Trail if you're into biking or a not-so-challenging hike. Cabin is spacious & clean. Owners are clear, transparent, and prompt in communication, and even gave us a dozen fresh eggs from their chickens :-) We'd come back.

Great Cabin in Morris

We can’t say enough about this property. The cabin is beautifully decorated and the outdoor space is great for family games, relaxing around the campfire and fishing. The owner is attentive and checks in to make sure you have everything you need. She even provided eggs from their chickens and s’mores! The house is well stocked with all the essentials and more, including many outdoor and indoor games! They are constantly making improvements to the property. We had an amazing time!

House in the Woods

Comfortable and artfully decorated. King size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Some aspects of the house were more unfinished than expected based on the published property description, e.g., floor transitions between rooms were missing saddles.In general, the owner/managers responded promptly to all inquiries by text message or the VRBO app.There was a plumbing issue on our first night. The owner/manager resolved the issue within 24 hours, however, we lost use of one bathroom during that time. They assumed that I caused the problem, although it is highly unlikely that I did.

Thank you, Rochelle, for your feedback and for noting the comfort of the home and our prompt communication. Regarding the plumbing issue: our investigation, including the pre-check-in video and the plumber’s photos, showed the valve under the sink had been turned during your stay, which caused the sound of rushing water you heard. We responded in person within 30 minutes despite it being close to midnight, at a time you had agreed to. Unfortunately, no one answered the door upon arrival, which prevented the issue from being corrected immediately and resulted in us having to shut off water to that bathroom from the basement to stop further flooding in the basement. We offered early morning times (7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.) to fix it quickly, but those were declined as too early. We ultimately secured someone to come in the afternoon, given our rural area and limited plumber availability. While that one bathroom was shut off, the home has two bathrooms, both with running water. We appreciate your understanding that we did everything possible to address it promptly and prevent additional damage. Thank you again for your stay and for sharing your thoughts.

Our Dog’s First Vacay

We loved it! Very cozy. Close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Plenty of supplies! if you forgot any toiletry item, you were in good shape. Felt a little bit like we were staying at our aunt’s and uncle’s house for the weekend. When our dog sitter could not watch her, we had to find a place that was dog friendly. Stella loved sniffing every inch of this place. Nice property. If you have a nice day, make sure to walk down the creek bed to find hidden delights. The only thing that I would change is to not leave food out on the counter. We found evidence of a mouse nibbling our items. Our fault! We actually keep everything in our fridge at home for the same reason.

Awesome family weekend getaway

The cabin exceeded our expectations! Walking the short distance to the stream was my favorite thing to do by myself, with the dog or family! We also enjoyed watching the deer in the evening as they ate right outside of the kitchen window.

This was by far our favorite destination. The home is lovely and well appointed. The current photos do not do it justice. The screened in porch, groomed yard and fire pit area were our solace. Close to the rail trail and Grand Canyon. Just what we needed and were looking for.

Just what we were looking for.

Cabin is in the process of being renovated and is much more beautiful than the pictures. Loved the screened in porch on the back facing the backyard/woods/creek. We saw numerous bear, deer, and fox. It was a short distance to Ski Sawmill and Pine Creek and not too far to see the Elk.

Beautiful

Great location and beautiful house! We arrived to a dozen fresh eggs and snacks on the counter. A very awesome and thoughtful gesture after traveling all day. We found that the house was very clean and not only had all the necessities but lots of extras and nice touches (ie the screened in porch and fire pit area) Very happy with this VRBO and wouldn’t hesitate staying here again if we find our way back to this part of the country. Bonus: We saw a bear wandering through the yard on our first night.

What an amazing property and great location!

We had a fabulous time here. The fire pit is beyond words. We spent most of the time outside by the fire pit. Many morning spent on the screened in porch. The pictures are not up-to-date so there is a lot more to the property than it shows. Awesome time!

Awesome Cabin !!

The cabin is awesome and the location was perfect for hiking nearby. The property was great for staying around too. The kids had a blast playing at the creek and the adults loved the finished fire pit area. Would love to stay at this cabin again. The owners were a very nice and a pleasure to work with as well.

Canyon Creek Cabin

This place was way better then we expected the pictures do not do it justice!! Anything you need is there and it was very clean! We loved the outdoor fire pit and the seating around it! All the little touches and the care in decorating is stunning. We will definitely be back!!

Rare find indeed!

If this place is available for your dates, book it! It's perfect! Gorgeous cabin (and they aren't even done renovating yet....can't wait to see what else they add)! It was so fully stocked with anything we could need, that I felt overpacked. We had pre-planned driving trips, but we could have hiked to Rattlesnake Rock right from the property! Even the detour for the road near the cabin took us on a magnificent scenic drive through the Tiaoga N'l Forest Every single thing was perfect, for our trip, except maybe, that we wished we got to see a bear lumber by. Lol. Hopefully next time. Also, don't miss the fire ring down by the creek! We found it on our last morning, after enjoying the amazing main firepit all weekend. Plenty of wood. Just wonderful, stress-free living for our entire visit. Thank you!
