Due to increased demand for bringing along a fur baby, we now allow 1-2 dogs for a $150 flat pet fee. If you have a (calm, well behaved) pup that you would like to bring along, she/he is welcome!

Our place is perfect for couples, families, and large groups looking for a quiet getaway. With two bedrooms with bathrooms and a family room upstairs and two bedrooms with a bathroom and a bonus room downstairs, Dove’s Landing is perfect for three or four couples, two families with children, or extra large/extended families. Let the kids take over the basement and adults relax upstairs and on the peaceful deck.
Need to check in with work or go online? We've got 100Mbps Wi-fi to accommodate your needs (enough to even accommodate a whole family teleworking and learning virtually).
The house has a total of five TVs - all of them are signed into a guest Netflix account and two are signed into a guest Disney+ account.
Our rec room in the basement includes a 70in. TV with surround sound and ample seating for the whole family. And when you want to unplug, there's a game table (air hockey and ping pong), dart board set, chalk board wall for kids, and a variety of puzzles, games, and books available for some good ole fashioned family time!
For your convenience, Dove's Landing offers an exterior ski locker as well as exterior and interior boot lockers. Outside of ski season, the ski locker is stocked with a variety of outdoor toys such as balls, frisbees, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. We have a swing, a bucket swing for babies and toddlers, and a bar w/ rings hanging under the back deck for kids to enjoy. We also have the hook and ring game under the deck for some friendly competition.
There is a gas grill on the back deck (propane provided), as well as a table with 6 chairs for outdoor dining and relaxing. We also have a propane fire table that can be used as extra dining space for 2-3 when the fire cover is on, and enjoyed by many with the fire going. Behind the house we have a 360 degree chiminea (to meet VA/WTG fire regulations) with tree stump seating for 8 and firewood stocked. We also have a 2-person hammock where you can relax with a book and a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
During the summer you will have access to an outdoor heated pool with a playground and covered and screened in picnic area, all within a 2-3 minute drive from the house. Year round you will have access to a family- and dog-friendly park (less than a mile away) where you can watch the sunset, and there are stone cornhole boards, a bocce court, and shuffle board. We have cornhole bags and a bocce set at the house that you can take up and play. There is a fenced in dog park for the pups as well.
You will find the cupboard stocked with coffee/coffee supplies, and there will be a bottle of wine in the wine rack! We also provide all linens and toiletry items.
Coming with small children? We have a pack n play, highchair, booster seat, and gates for the stairs available (if full-size high chair is required please send request ahead of time).
***Dove's Landing comfortably accommodates up to 11 adults, and up to 13 people total. If have more than 11 adults in your group please send me a message so that we can discuss your plans and ensure this is the right house for you. Nightly pricing is based on number of guests. VRBO lists "additional guest fees" depending on number of guests, even when under the max occupancy.
Please keep track of keys - a $100 fee will be incurred for a lost key.
