NEW Studio, Full Bathroom, Full Kitchen, Private Entry, Peaceful Yard with Views
Available year-round, enjoy the peace, quiet, snow and skiing in the winter; the abundant wildlife in the shoulder seasons and the hiking, rafting and scenery in the summer months.

"Where The Buffalo Rooms" a studio apartment situated up on a bluff above the town of Gardiner, Montana with amazing views of the historic Yellowstone Arch, Electric Peak and the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Our walk-out studio apartment comes equipped with all the comforts of home including a pillow-top, queen bed, full bathroom with tub and hand-held shower head and a full kitchen. The sofa with extended chaise is the perfect spot to relax, catch a movie or check your email after a full-day exploring Yellowstone! The full kitchen will allow you to fix your own meals and pack lunches in the available cooler for your journey into the Park. Smart TV and Wireless Internet are included.

What we love about our home is that it is "in town" without being down on the main street. Our secluded lot is located up on the hill, about a five minute walk to downtown Gardiner where you will find shopping, restaurants, raft companies and more! The studio has an outside patio and lawn directly by the unit. Barbecue your dinner while admiring the view! There is private parking and a separate gated entry down to the unit. Our home is located up a dirt road, hill. Winter reservations will need an All-Wheel drive vehicle to be sure of access, even though the owner plows daily. Exterior security cameras are present on the property.

We keep our reservation calendar updated to the minute and our description on this page is accurate. So if you feel this is the spot for your next vacation and your dates are available on our calendar, you are welcome to book directly without contacting us (use Instant Booking option). Just follow VRBO's process with your credit card. We will be in touch immediately upon booking. If you do have specific questions not answered here, please email Barbara.

Wonderful Accommodation

After a long day of travel we arrived at Barbara's wonderful place. The location is perfect. It's close to a grocery store, multiple restaurant's (we liked Backcountry Bistro for dinner and enjoyed live music at Cowboys Lodge and Grill) and downtown Gardiner. The bed was very comfortable which allowed us to get a good nights sleep. In the morning we found a place for breakfast and headed into the north entrance of Yellowstone (which was also very close). We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and view

We had a great stay at this VRBO and it was in a great location. Could see the NW Yellowstone entrance arch from our window. Barbara was very attentive to our needs and gave us advise on the park. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the area!

Perfect spot

This was such a great landing spot after many nights of camping in the park. Cozy and convenient to downtown. Saw elk around property and enjoyed the sunset from the patio. Would highly recommend and would love to come back one day!

Greetings! Allan and I have lived in this area for over 30 years! When we arrived in Gardiner in 1989, we lived up in Yellowstone National Park while raising our family. We purchased this home in Gardiner in 2006 and can't imagine ever living somewhere without our view of Electric Peak! Allan is a retired, park ranger. Yellowstone is his favorite topic, ask him anything about the Park, its animals, geologic features and its history. Barbara teaches full-time, manages our local Resort Tax district and maintains other vacation rentals in town. As our nest "emptied", we decided it was time to share our home and love for Yellowstone with others.

A unique Gardiner property, our home had two basements...that do not connect! We recently remodeled one into a large studio apartment. Our spacious apartment has all the comforts of home! There is a bedroom area, complete with a large picture window out which you can view Yellowstone's Electric Peak and Sepulcher Mountain. We have a small living area with reclining leather love seat and chair where you can relax, read, check your email or watch a movie on the new flat screen TV with DirecTV satellite channels. The full kitchen comes equipped with everything you might need to create delicious meals or to pack the cooler with sandwiches for a day in Yellowstone. 2021 will be our second season in operation and we are ready for visitors!

Our studio apartment has two outdoor spaces complete with outdoor furniture, table with umbrella, lawn area and a barbecue grill. Recently added: a column firepit to stay warm on chilly nights or to roast those marshmallows! Our location overlooking Gardiner provides breathtaking mountain views, yet we are only a short walk into town for stores, restaurants, rafting trips and more! You will enjoy a secluded location, yet be in the middle of all the action of our summer, tourist town! Come experience Montana's big-sky and Yellowstone's amazing geologic features!
