Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat

Welcome to Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat! We are secluded carriage house retreat located in the hidden hills of western NC. A 700 sf space (above our garage) fully contained with all the comforts of home....but off the grid!
The driveway is a wee bit steep and gravel. Front wheel drive vehicles may be challenged to get back up, (going up in reverse works great!) All wheel/four wheel is suggested. There is parking available on the street at the top of our driveway. We are happy to assist you with shuttling services in our car if you choose. The unit has a full kitchen, shower only bathroom, queen bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa bed and a spare twin roll-away bed too. There is no wifi/cell or tv signal down in the hollow, but there is a tv with lots of good movies, music CD's, games, cards and puzzles. We are 30 minutes to the nearest town! We offer our guests a simple supper all ready for you on your day of arrival for an additional fee. We include some homemade breakfast treats such as muffins, biscuits & Belgium waffles, there is also cereal, grits & oatmeal available and the fridge is stocked with simple basic breakfast items (local farm fresh eggs, juice, yogurt/toppings, fresh fruit etc.) And of course coffee, which we roast ourselves, local teas & cocoa. We're tucked down in a hollow of almost 10 acres of hardwood trees and two creeks.....completely secluded! There is nothing like a private creekside picnic! We provide a deluxe picnic basket for you to fill with your own goodies or we can fill it for you with gourmet local delicacies (for additional fees) We've cut in a 1/4 mile circuit in our woods for a hike or jog or just sit down by the cascading creek and enjoy the sounds of nature. We are dog friendly, however your dog must be kind to ours! We have 2 intact male dogs, a yorkie and an adult Irish Wolfhounds. He is a very friendly gentle giant who roams free on our property.
