Fortified city on the sea, castle enclosed by a well-preserved double wall curtain reinforced by a mighty bastion, which overlooks the Adriatic coast and the mouth of the Cesano. An important land of the Duchy of Urbino, it experienced great prosperity and well-being in those years, with the construction of noble palaces and churches rich in art, history and faith.
