Perfect

Our stay was perfect. The house was clean and everything was well thought out by the host. Check-in instructions had all details we need to ensure a smooth stay. The location is hard to beat; only a few minutes to downtown and the park. We are planning to be back in the winter next year.

Bears everywhere

Heed the host's warnings about bears! They were every where in the village. We had an experience of a lifetime seeing a different family wandering around each day (you can tell by the number of cubs). Our toddlers's excitement was through the roof. Our stay was nothing but wonderful!

Highly recommend

Our family had an incredible time at Papa Bear's Den! The game room was a hit, and watching bears from the massive deck was unforgettable. Clean, cozy, and just minutes to town. Highly recommend!

Perfect

Very beautiful cabin and very professional host. Perfectly set up for young families. My kids love the game room. My wife loves the main bathroom and now she wants to remodel ours at home lol. Us guys love hanging out on the deck. We would book again in a heart beat.

Bears!

If you want to sip your morning coffee while literal bears stroll past your deck, book this place now. Papa Bear’s Den is the ultimate mountain hideout. The cabin is immaculately clean, the beds actually let you sleep, and the arcade and billiards room kept everyone thoroughly distracted. The cabin is mere minutes from the main attractions but feels off the grid. A highly functional, well-stocked cabin with a very responsive host. Totally worth a little bit of climb.

Great cabin

Papa Bear's Den exceeded our expectations! Incredible mountain views, an awesome game room, and regular bear visitors made our trip magical. Super close to downtown but feels so peaceful. 5 stars!

Spacious and clean

We realĺy enjoyed our stay, very spacious and clean. It was truly a home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need, this was definitely a plus for me. The host thought of everything. The view was great, we loved the game room with the pool table. The hot tub was nice. The cabin was exactly as seen in the pictures. The host was prompt in returning our call or text. I would definitely rent this cabin again. The only issue would be the winding road up to the cabin and the driveway being a bit steep, but hey, were in the mountains... it was definitely an experience.

Stunning

An absolutely stunning cabin! We were blown away by the beautiful mountain views and the amazing hot tub on the huge deck. Seeing wild bears was a thrilling bonus! Perfectly clean and close to town.

Impressive

This cabin impressed us with unique amenities! Having access to the local clubhouse pools and tennis courts was a massive perk. Back at the house, we loved the fast WiFi, smart TVs, and the peace of mind from the whole-house power generator. Truly a stress-free retreat!

Beautiful cabin

Beautiful cabin, with great views. The game room was a hit for our 3 boys. We saw bears lots of bears! The host was extremely responsive and had things delivered promptly that weren’t in stock at the cabin. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful

Beautifully decorated and sparkling clean cabin with a lot of amenities. Very convenient location! It only took us a few mins to go to all the great spots in town or the park. Host was very responsive. We had a blast here!

Amazing

Our stay at Papa Bear’s Den was absolutely fantastic. The cabin perfectly balances seclusion with convenience—it feels tucked away in nature with gorgeous mountain views, yet it’s just a few minutes from town and the national park. The absolute highlight of the trip was the massive deck, which provided a safe, amazing vantage point for watching mama bears and cubs wander through the yard. It is a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. Inside, the cabin is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and packed with amenities. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the game room (complete with a full-size pool table and arcade games) was a huge hit. Ending the day in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The host was also incredibly communicative and responsive throughout our stay. Overall, this is an amazing, well-kept cabin and we would 100% book this place again!

The rooms were immaculate, which was good for our family to settle in when we arrived. The kitchen was used quite a bit, given the kids’ preferences, and we were able to cook for 2-3 meals per day without an issue. We didn’t use the hot tub, but we ended up viewing quite a bit from the balcony, which provided a spectacular view of Gatlinburg. We were big fans of the quick access to the national park, which was the main reason we chose this location: 9 minutes to the Sugarlands Visitor Center, and 30-50 minutes to most of the main hiking trails. Host was very responsive. When we had a power outage from a storm, we only lost power for about 30 seconds before the backup generator kicked on, and everything was restored while the power company worked on things.

Wonderful

Had a wonderful vacation! Definitely the best and most responsive hosts I’ve ever encountered!!! Beds slept great! Love the bathrooms! The deck is awesome to watch fireworks from. There were lots of bears!!! We will be back!

Definitely a 5-star cabin. We absolutely love it. My grandchildren were fascinated with the bears and cubs wandering around the neighborhood. We had a perfect vacation!

This cabin is beautiful and met every expectation I had. It has everything you will need for your stay there. The cabin is in great condition and we didn't have any issues at all. We had 3 generations under one roof and everyone loved it. The game room upstairs is amazing and we played everything. I was hoping to see bears and we saw them every morning so keep your doors locked. You also have a view of the tram to Ober Gatlinburg as it goes by, My kids had never stayed in a cabin on the morning and they fell in love with staying there. We will be back!
