This two-bedroom, 750 square-foot cottage is your perfect outpost for adventures in Jackson Hole. The primary bedroom is appointed with a comfortable king bed, the guest bedroom features a queen bed, and the couch in the living room pulls out to sleep extra guests.

The property sits on the banks of Flat Creek and offers access to a shared hot tub among the guests of the Alpine Cottages. The shared hot tub is located right off the living room of Alpine Cottages three and four. There is a row of Adirondack chairs right on the bank of Flat Creek for anyone staying at the Alpine Cottages to enjoy.

My second stay with Outpost and they didn’t disappoint. Best of both worlds with nature in your back yard, walking distance to downtown and a hot tub to soak your aches and pains from the day. I will definitely stay at this unit again when I’m back in Jackson Hole!

Amazing place especially with a dog

Location fantastic with walking distance to lots of restaurants and Jackson Town Square. Beautiful setting on the river, which our dog loved.

Great stay

Loved the “off the beaten path” location, which wasn’t more than a 5 min walk to downtown. Rooms were great, and took advantage of the hot tub and seats by the creek. There was a creepy trap door in the cabin I was not a fan of (I watch too many scary movies maybe), but I felt better when I put something heavy on it at night while we slept.

Great location in Jackson; cozy & convenient

Staff made arrival and check-in process seamless. Place was perfect for my wife and I. Enjoyed the #4 cabin with the hot tub directly out our patio door. Cozy electric fireplace-stove and convenient off-street parking. Located just a few blocks from main restaurant area in Jackson. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Close and comfortable!

So great...3 block walk in to downtown JH, hot tub is such a bonus, heated tiles in the bathroom floors, and both times I called Outpost for help they were ON IT!! If I ever come back here, I won't even look for a different spot to stay!

The perfect small cabin for a Jackson Hole get-away. This was our second year renting the same cabin in Jackson. Small, but super comfortable. I was there with my wife and adult daughter, but would be a great cabin for two couples. About a 10 min walk to town with all the restaurants and shops. Outpost has really great customer service and the communication leading up to the trip was spot on. Highly recommend!

Hot tub was pretty nasty - not clean and would not heat up above 100 degrees.

Hi Michael, We are glad to hear that you enjoyed Alpine Cottage Four overall, but are terribly sorry to hear that the hot tub was up to our cleanliness standards for your stay. While we perform routine hot tub maintenance, guests using the shared hot tub with too many lotions on or spilling beverages can cause it to get dirty sooner than our regular schedule. The dryer in our unit wasn’t working. This forced us to go to a local laundromat and burn 3 hours of our time. We were told that our charges would be adjusted because of this. Also other occupants had viscous dogs staying with them that made our stay unpleasant.

This is a good property walking distance to town square

The management company is great. The place was clean and and at a very excellent location. There's a river that runs in back to the cabins and is very relaxing. The reason I'm leaving it 4 stars is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything in cabin next door. In addition, the patio door did not close properly. That is a safety issue that needs to be fixed.

Cute Cottage

Cute little place in walking distance to downtown. Comfortable beds and living area. A few things to be aware of - unit needs a little maintenance (switching tub to shower and back took the hulk), kitchen is equipped but not for major cooking (no full sized skillet as an example), walls are very very thin (you can hear your neighbors whole conversation - and I’m sure our poor neighbors heard our screaming toddler!), parking is limited (plan to hike to unload your car). I’d still call it 5 stars - walkable to downtown. Cute creek with ducks near by.

A Cozy Getaway

My recent stay at this VRBO property was nothing short of fantastic. Nestled in the serene embrace of nature, this cozy cabin provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin itself was meticulously maintained and tastefully decorated, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable stay. The location of the property was ideal, offering easy access to the town square, hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and charming local attractions. There was never a dull moment during our stay. Very Nice

There are many VRBO rentals that are houses condos or cabins that families own and use when not rented. Then there are company owned properties that are only rented. This is the later. Everything was fine but you can tell that no-one ever goes there that owns the place. There are no home type items in the property. No scissors no small tools very few but adequate pots and pans no basic need items like salt sugar spices or laundry detergent. I know I can go buy them but in most other rentals that are owned by a single owner that stays at the house occasionally these items are there. You can just tell this is strictly a rental not someones second home that they rent out. Barring the missing normal house items the cabin was very nice and located in a great spot.

Basic but functional

Great communication from property management, but lots of issues with Unit 4. As reported by previous renters, the dishwasher doesn’t function and it seems no one notices as we came in to load of plates and glasses with gunk crusted on. Kitchen sink is leaking into cabinet underneath. The hot tub is on your front porch - which means most of the time other units are there on your front porch. That’s your main view and you get no privacy between 8am and 9pm. Garbage and dog poop littered the area, especially around the main bin. Kitchen supplies were minimal - no cooking knife beyond 3”, no spatula and nothing but salt and pepper. The place itself is functional and clean although chairs and sofa are worn out and stained. Just hoped for more given the price.

We have since replaced the dishwasher at this home and are so sorry that this wasn't replaced in time for your stay. We have also replenished the kitchen inventory, added further signage for dog owners to clean up after the pets, and scheduled weekly yard cleans/scans by our maintenance team to make sure the yard stays enjoyable for all.
