Lakefront! Year Round Family Cottage on North Lake

A spacious and welcoming haven awaits you on North Lake! Packed with amenities, this home is perfect for a family vacation or a quiet escape away from it all. Indoor/outdoor living opportunities abound, with a large screened in porch leading to an expansive deck which overlooks the lush garden and all-sports lake. A fully stocked kitchen and tastefully decorated open-concept living room/ dining room/ kitchen will have you feeling at home in no time. Three well-appointed bedrooms and 1.5 baths are conveniently located on the first floor. The second floor master suite offers a gorgeous bathroom with a clawfoot soaking tub, a separate open shower. This suite has private balcony with lake views, as well as an adjoining bunk room. There's a second upstairs wood paneled queen suite with a gaming room and floor to ceiling view of the lake! There’s loft space, which can function as additional living space or as an office, with a bathroom and second upstairs laundry for convenience. There is plenty of internet bandwidth for remote work and school!
There is a large playroom equipped with toys, games, books, and videos for rainy days or quiet evenings indoors. The house offers a private tennis court, dock, plentiful outdoor games, a play structure, sports equipment, fishing gear, a kayak, a standing paddle board, ample parking, a grill, and plentiful baby and toddler necessities as needed.

North Lake sits just north of Chelsea and Dexter, close to the fine dining and entertaining opportunities they offer. It is also a short 30 minute drive to Ann Arbor for further art, music, and culinary experiences, the University of Michigan, as well as visits to the Big House for a football game.

For the outdoors folks, Pinckney State Park is nearby, with it’s beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails. Mountain bikers love the challenge of the Potawatomi and DTE trails. The Huron River is picturesque, so bring your extra kayaks or tubes to enjoy the river! Local liveries will also rent kayaks and tubes if you are flying in from afar. Local marinas are available to rent pontoons for during your stay with delivery possible. Golfing is nearby... the list goes on!

This home was great for our family gathering to celebrate our grandsons graduation from Chelsea high school…All the furnishings and bedding are high quality and the house is equipped with all the amenities of a lake home!!! The outdoor space is incredible….. with th a large deck, tennis courts and kayaks and paddle board and life jackets too!!! We had a great stay and will go back firbithet family events!

Great Lakehouse stay for large family

We had ten adults and four young children/toddlers. All fit comfortably at the property. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. The host assisted us with a boat rental, but there was also kayaking and other activities for the lake. Great communication with the host. Would recommend this property in the future.

Loved our time at the Lake

We had ages 6-75 stay in this charming home. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of things for all ages to do. Everything was clean and in working order. Our only regret is that we wanted MORE sunshine so we could take more advantage of the beautiful outdoors.A true treat!

What a perfect place for a family get-together! Plenty of room, well-equipped, and most certainly child-friendly! We were in Michigan for a family wedding and to visit with lots of relatives on MiMa's side, including her 95-year-old mother. Even with iffy weather, everyone had a wonderful time. The last evening, our valiant oldest grandson (who just turned 7 in April) took the plunge -- actually several plunges -- into the very cool lake water. The other boys (almost 4 and almost 7) tried, but stuck close to shore in shallow water. Only one grown-up got into the water. Everyone also enjoyed a campfire and s'mores (thank you, Paula!) the same evening.

Wonderful!

Such a great gathering house! Gorgeous sunsets on the lake. Plenty of room to spread out. Huge tables in the dining and screen porch for big family meals. Fun and games for everyone!

Christmas Savior

We had planned to host Christmas at our remodeled home. However, backorderd items halted those efforts and we needed plan b. Paula came to the rescue and the beautiful house was perfect for our large party. She was prompt with her responses and was kind enough to decorate with a Christmas tree that made it feel like home. We are very appreciative and will return for future rentals.

Beautiful home!! Very family friendly!

We have 3 toddlers and this house was the perfect place to stay for our family of 5! The kids loved the playroom, perfect space for them! Paula is an amazing host who went above and beyond for us! Would love to stay here in the summer when we can experience the lake! Highly recommend!!

We had a great time. Many activities to keep the entertainment going. The lake is very nice and not busy. We paddled the lake every day and tubed a couple times. Large screen room to hang out in if it rains, and a plenty of space in the house if some quiet time is needed. Boats to paddle, a tennis court, basketball, scooters, a little beach area, everyone had fun.

Great Getaway

The home was one of the nicest ones at which we've stayed. We had a family week with a total of 9 adults, 1 teenager and 1 toddler. The huge game room was a great hangout for all. The toddler was happy with all of the toys provided! And the adults had plenty of comfortable couch to watch the Olympics in the evenings. We also liked the enclosed porch for our morning coffee. The home was so well supplied with paper products, kitchen appliances, dishes, pans, etc. The special touches of the Keurig coffee pot with a big variety of coffee pods included, as well as a regular coffee pot were appreciated. There was also a basket of S'more fixings, firewood if you wanted an outdoor fire - it was a hot week, so we didn't do that. Also a counter basket of Snacks, special food items, etc. We felt very welcome, and thoroughly enjoyed the week.

Fantastic lake house, perfect for kids!

We had a wonderful stay at this home! It had everything you could need (plenty of towels, fully stocked kitchen, etc.) and was super homey. My 2 year son LOVED the playroom and all the toys that came with it (especially all the hot wheels cars!), and had a great time scooting around in the outdoor toys as well. The outdoor area of the house is fantastic. We got plenty of use out of the tennis court playing Pickle Ball and tennis, took the canoe out for several trips, and the kids loved splashing around in the shallow beach water. We built a fire in the evenings and enjoyed sitting out by the lake. The house is right by the Pinckney Recreation area, so we were able to get to some pretty awesome wooded trails and did some hiking. And the house is also located only 10-15 minutes from two adorable little towns (Chelsea and Dexter) where grocery stores, and restaurants with takeout options were available. Our only minor issue with the house was one of the guestroom bedframes was broken, but the property manager is working to get it fixed! I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway, especially families with young children. :)

Wonderful Rental Home, Especially with Kids

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. First, it's only 30 minutes outside Ann Arbor so convenient short drive to airport and Greater Detroit area. Despite being close to metro, it felt incredibly private despite being close to other houses on lake. The house is on a calm cove/bay of larger lake, so swimming area of beach was always quiet and calm. Second, the house has seemingly every amenity! We had two 1-year-olds and two 5-year-olds and it was extremely kid friendly. In retrospect we probably didn't need to bring anything of our own as they have playroom, pack and play, beach toys, scooters, outside toys, etc. They even bought two high chairs and child locks for us to use. The baby gate at stairs was clutch so could have one year olds crawl around in main area by kitchen. We loved the screened in porch for dinners, the beach was shallow and sandy with canoe, kayak, and paddle board, the tennis court was good for tennis but also for kids scootering around. Third, the house was stocked extremely well with supplies we needed (aka we didn't say "where is X or wish we had Y) and the hot/cold water station was surprising great as the tap water was well water like. Overall, great vacation and nice touch with the welcome basket. Thanks for having us!

Perfect Stay

This house was perfect for our holiday family get together and enabled us to spend quality time with each other- kids and adults! Layout and amenities couldn’t be better for entertaining. Our group lucked out with November weather and we were able to enjoy the tennis/bball court, playground, yard and fire pit to roast s’mores. I can see how the lake activities would bring even more fun in the summertime. There were so many toys for the kids across ages (1 to 7 years) they never got bored and we liked the separation with the play room and TV separate from the kitchen/living/dining so we weren’t on top of each other. The host Paula was super responsive to our messages leading up to our stay and also while we were there. I’d definitely recommend this property to anyone looking in the area!

Perfect get-a-way

Our experience with Paula started off amazingly with her helping me answer ALL of my questions leading up to our stay! I try not to be needy, but I was “that” guest this trip and she was so kind and helpful!! We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at the house with all of the outdoor toys ready for us to use, a fully stocked coffee, kitchen and SMORES!! The rooms were fantastic, beds were so comfortable and the space was perfectly spread out for a large family gathering. We played tennis everyday, kids colored, we swam and enjoyed sitting around the patio! Thank you for allowing us to use your home!

It’s Everything You See, and More!

This rental was perfect for our group of 14 , grandparents down to babies. Clean, spacious, and with so many thoughtful amenities and lots of playthings. The lake and beach are clean and family-friendly. Communication with the owner was prompt and convenient. This property feels quite secluded even though neighbors are close by. We played lots of pickle ball, spent hours in the water, fished, read books, and enjoyed the peaceful view. Some took advantage of the nearby mountain bike trails and disc golf courses. The playroom has games, books, movies, and toys for kids of all ages which we especially appreciated it on a stormy day! A great Wi-Fi connection made it possible for one adult to be with us who had to work part of every day. The photos really don’t do justice to this listing. It feels even larger in person and there have been many updates. Everyone in our group wants to return here for our next family vacation!

North Lake vacation

The house and grounds are lovely. It is super well equipped inside and out. Every kitchen appliance and gadget you could want. Tons of games, art, sports and water gear. We ranged from 4 to 66 and everyone had a blast. North Lake is beautiful—and has lots of bass! It was everything we were looking for.

Perfect place for Large Family

We just loved this place for our extended family including people aged 12 - 80. All had a wonderful time and were comfortable. They have thought of everything here and were quickly accommodating with any questions we had. We hope to be back.

Beautiful lake front house!

My family was so impressed with the house. From the beautiful foyer to the spacious master bedroom the home is elegant yet comfortable. It’s beautifully set on the lake. We had a blast ice skating. It was a short drive to skiing at Mt Brighton and Pine Knob. Our hosts were so very helpful and friendly. We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my sister’s birthday.

Best lake house ever!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this unbelievable home! It has everything imaginable. Perfect for adults and children. Playroom is a child’s dream! Outdoor space, Firepit, tennis court, basketball court, kayaks…it was just perfect! Inside is extraordinary, beautiful, and fully stocked. It’s spacious and honestly it couldn’t be better!
