Direct Waterfront with Private Beach - Entire Home

Newer Listing! Enjoy direct waterfront living on one of the cleanest and tranquil lakes in the state. This fully furnished and completely remodeled cottage includes all amenities, complete kitchen accessories, washer/dryer, hardwood floors, large deck.
Featuring three beaches, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, skating and fishing.
Enjoy spectacular views of the lake from the open concept living room, kitchen and dining room. Relax with a cup of coffee in the large swivel glider chairs on the large deck as the sun rises. Go for an early morning walk or bike ride around the quiet scenic lake, or just sit by the water and take it all in. The lake is stocked with fish every spring. In winter, you can ski at any of the three local ski areas (within 30 minutes) or enjoy ice fishing and skating right in your back yard.
Guests can use the entire property and the private lakefront beach (connected to this property).
There are three private beaches on this Lake that you will have access to, along with Kayaks, Paddleboards and beach towels.
Complementary snacks and beverages. House is stocked with everything that you will need, from pots and pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, condiments, coffee maker with many types of coffee, hot chocolate, tea etc...
In addition to all the different ways to enjoy the lake, there are also hiking trails, vineyards for wine tasting, award-winning restaurants, antique malls and shops all within 10 minutes. For those who like to golf, a public golf course is located approximately 8 minutes away. Several stores are within 5 minutes including Walmart, CVS, Target, Panera, Stop and Shop and more!

Pets are not allowed. No smoking in the home. Since we are direct waterfront the Lake Association rules must be followed and rental agreement signed.

Perfect summer getaway

Truly a great house in a great location. Lots to love about this rental: super clean and bright, good window shades, comfortable beds, well-stocked library, plenty of water toys…the list goes on. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Heavenly Lake house

This is the second time we stayed here to celebrate Thanksgiving and Family. It’s a beautiful home and the view of Lake Harwinton is fantastic. There were 10 of us celebrating and due to the open floor plan it never felt crowded. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is peaceful. The hosts were good with communication and the home was very clean. I highly recommend!

Beautiful Views

Best Amenities

Have stayed at several VRBO properties and this was the best so far. Did lots of special things like a snack tray upon arrival & lots of notes around the house on how things worked.

Winter Wonderland on Frozen Lake

Awesome stay on a beautiful lake

We loved our stay at this home! It was beautifully maintained, had everything we could have needed supplied, and the lake was quiet and peaceful. We were so happy they had an array of bikes in the garage and many kayaks and paddle boards to choose from. We hardly spent any time indoors, but when we did, it was warm and cozy. Our only downside was that there was a high levels of blue algae in the lake so we couldn’t swim the last couple of days we were there. Would definitely recommend this house!

So relaxing and gorgeous!

What a beautiful property! The porch is amazing! The host has everything you need for a week on a lake! It’s a quiet neighborhood and so peaceful! Clean, beautifully decorated and a nice escape from life. Perfect for our vacation to see friends all over CT! We lived nearby for about 10 years and never knew there was a lake In Harwinton! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Fun weekend at Lake House

We spent labor day weekend at the house as a family and had a fantastic time. The owners were very thorough and detailed in all their communications and made it easy. The house was clean, updated and had all the amenities. The large back deck overlooking the lake was fantastic, especially in the early morning as the fog lifted off the lake. We all enjoyed the kyaks and paddleboards and took out the canoe for some fishing. I recommended the house to family members and would stay again in the future.

Perfect!

We couldn't be happier! The house was spotless clean and extremely well equipped, not to mention tastefully furnished. Every detail was very well thought out. Despite close proximity to other houses, the property felt private and very peaceful. The lake was clean enough to swim in (no algae). Larry, the host, was friendly and responsive. We couldn't ask for more!

Lovely cottage and neighborhood right on the lake! I think it's time to retire the Pontoon Boat (old). It would be easier to kayak, paddle, and canoe. Especially because the water level of the lake is low.

Home Away From Home by the Lake

The owner has created a beautiful, peaceful, thoughtful space for VRBO guests. Everything was spotless and well-organized. We appreciated the attention to detail and all the little extras that made the lake house truly feel like a home away from home during our stay. It was especially nice to have use of the garage. We enjoyed exploring the area’s restaurants, mountain bike trails, and disc golf courses and having a cozy, comfortable place to relax and read by the water. It was too chilly on the days we’d thought about canoeing, but we hope to come back for a longer stay during warmer months next year.
