Look no further - this is an AMAZING 3 bedroom / 2 bath house with SPECTACULAR UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWS FROM EVERY BEDROOM! THAT IS THE REASON YOU ARE COMING TO THIS ISLAND! The house is only a few steps from the water on a beautiful sandy beach on the calm west side of the island with turquoise, completely transparent water. A lot of properties have difficult/no access to the water or lots of sharp volcanic rock. NEW IN 2021 - 10X20 ft POOL WITH SEA WATER! Now you can relax by the pool all day long and take a dip even late at night. The house has CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING (very important in the Bahamas, window units just won't do the job) and outdoor shower with hot water.
VERY USEFUL TIP - many hosts won't mention it but bugs are a big concern here, they can ruin your vacation.. if you see lots of bush on the property, be careful - that's where mosquitoes and "no-seeems" live!
Gas / charcoal grills provided will come in very handy when it comes to cooking all that fish you are going to catch! Boat rental (mooring spot right in front of the house) is available upon request. Two kayaks and 2 paddle boards are included to explore the cove. There is a small reef approximately 100 yards from the house with lots of beautiful fish - perfect for snorkeling (only 5 feet deep). Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove/oven/refrigerator/microwave etc. Very well stocked grocery store is 10 minutes away. One of the best restaurants on the island is 8 minutes away. Three TVs and internet are provided to stay connected with the outside world, if desired.
Easy access from the main road (a lot of properties on the island have very difficult access). WATCH AMAZING SUNSETS FROM THE PORCH EVERY SINGLE DAY !!!
How to get here:
Take any commercial airline to Nassau, then Southern Air (Bahamas), Bahamas Air or private charter (they sell seats, stella maris resort air service for example) to one of the two airports (Stella Maris or Deadmans Cay)
Another option is to fly commercial to Georgetown airport on Exuma island (15 miles from Long island), then take charter (see above) or 2 hour ferry to Salt Pond, Long Island.
Once you book the trip, we will assist you with car and boat rentals as needed.

Family Vacation

The house, location, and owner are fantastic! Weā€™ve been to the Bahamas multiple times but this was our first time on Long Island and itā€™s our new favorite island. The house has everything you would ever need, the location is perfect to get to anything you need, and Dmitri was a wonderful host!

Lovely House with Amazing Views

Dmitriā€™s house is truly wonderful- very well appointed, great layout and amenities, very clean and well cared for and Dmitri was great to communicate with from beginning to end. My kids loved having a pool and we all loved the beautiful views of the ocean from every room in the house! We would happily recommend this house to any family or group coming to Long Island!

Amazing Property

This is an amazing property! Very clean. Everything working, And holy moly that beach! Dmitri was an amazing host - great communication and very responsive. We stayed for 2 weeks and experienced just about everything on Long Island, and spent several days just lounging at the beach at the house. We saw a total of 4 other humans at the beach the entire time. Highly recommend Long Island. The people are so friendly everywhere you go. And highly recommend this place to stay while you're there!

A piece of Paradise

Everything about the stay was AMAZING! Dmitri was so helpful all the way from the booking until we left. He set up a driver to pick us up, deliver a car, grocery deliveryā€¦.what more could you ask for? The house was full of every day essentials(spices, towels, etc) and the grocery was a 15 min drive away. The island was amazing full of pleasant locals.

Perfect recharge location

This was our first trip to Long Island and it didn't disappoint. Dmitri was very helpful making sure all our arrangements were coordinated as well as giving great suggestions of places to visit and dine.The house was perfect for our family of four with boy and girl. Teenagers, the snorkeling was terrific. The pool provided amazing afternoon, cool down as well as the cabana and porch to get out of the sun.The house is located mid Island making it easy enough to visit both north and south Island areas without much effort.

Amazing property!

If you are considering a visit to Long Island, you have to stay at Casa de Bahamas! We cannot recommend it enough! Our family of four stayed at Casa de Bahamas on Long Island & it was fantastic! Dmitri was an awesome host; immediately answering all of our questions, both prior to our arrival & after getting there. He gave us suggestions of what to do & where to eat. He also was able to set us up with a car rental for the week with a local resident named Stanley, who was reliable & just delightful. Dmitri also connected us with a boat rental/tour company. Dmitriā€™s help with these details made our visit very simple. The house had everything we needed, the layout was spacious & the property was beautifully landscaped. The central location of the house made it perfect for easily exploring the entire island. The house is on a sandy bay with shallow, calm clear water.

Fantastic!!

My husband and I spent 7 days at this property. This is our sixth trip to an out island of the Bahamas and this is by far the best home we have rented to date. The location truly is right on the beach , you can literally walk a few steps from the porch and be on the beach! We felt as if we had a private beach the whole week . The house is beautiful, immaculately maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation leaving you feel as you were the first guest to stay. We took the kayaks out and explored the island , we saw plenty of bone fish right in front of the house! The location of house is perfect right in the middle of the island, itā€™s the definitely the ā€œplace to beā€ on the island. There are some great restaurants very close by and itā€™s proximity to the grocery store was key . Everybody on the island is so friendly and accommodating. The island is the perfect mix of laid back and things to do . The owner Dimitri was a pleasure to deal with and Colton was at the house waiting for us and couldnā€™t have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back to casa de Bahamas !!!!

Best Vacation Ever!

My family and I just had the best week ever at Casa de Bahamas! The house is amazing, very spacious and easily accommodated all 7 of us. The house and property were very clean and beautifully decorated. We swam, floated, kayaked and paddle boarded in front of the house. The location of the house is also ideal and we explored many of the attractions/restaurants on both ends of the island. We have been to several islands in the Bahamas and Long Island is hands down our favorite! We always feel safe and the people are some of the nicest people we have ever met! We would definitely stay at this property again and if I could give it more stars, I would!

Truly Heaven on Earth

It is so hard to put in words how amazing this house is! The house is stunning with amazing views everywhere. The water is perfect. The communication with Dmitri has been so helpful and so quick! He really went over and beyond for us before, during and after our visit. The house has absolutely everything you would need for a vacation to Long Island, and more than you would expect. The people of Long Island made our vacation so wonderful. They are the most friendly people I have ever met. We cannot wait to come back to this home for our next LI adventure. Trust me--do not hesitate--BOOK IT!!!!

Very beautiful very well kept property in a small, quiet upscale neighborhood. Central location with easy access from the main road conveniently located between two airports (20 minute drive from each). Only 30 steps of your very own private sandy beach separate the porch from the most beautiful water in the world!
Property manager (who lives offsite) is also an expert fisherman, boat operator and tour guide and will be happy to show all of the many local attractions, from pig islands (there are several), rock caves on the shore, private islands, Columbus monument, snorkeling and diving sites, great fishing spots etc.
