A phenomenal place for our family gathering! The mid-October weather was perfect so having great outdoor seating was delightful, offering lovely spaces to visit with each other. Of course everyone enjoyed discovering the unique and unusual places and furnishings used throughout the home to engage and enchant guests. Our host quickly responded to a couple of questions I had, which makes such a difference on a first stay somewhere. Everything from arrival and entry to check out was set up to be easy and enjoyable for guests.

Our stay at the Sedona of Rockford was truly phenomenal. The property is beautiful, impeccably decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Every amenity is well thought out and intentional. The gardens are truly stunning. When we needed to communicate with the host, she was readily available and incredibly helpful. The house was very unique and had everything we needed. The backyard was especially nice to enjoy the many seating areas. The cantina had a musty odor, so we didn't get to use it, but there were lots of other places to hang out. The master bed was quite firm for those who like that. We did receive instructions not to move anything, but found working in the kitchen difficult with the many decorations. We needed to move some things for more counter space, but replaced when we left. Overall it was a fun and clean place to stay.

Oh my gosh! I wasn't aware there was any issue with the cantina, I'm so sorry! No one has ever said anything, good to know so we can do something about that. Maybe we should add that if one wishes to move things around for convenience, as long as everything is put back, that would be fine. I'm so pleased you had a fun stay, and we would love to host you again!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s absolutely stunning inside and out. My friend and I held a murder mystery party and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and strategize with each other! Every single person was absolutely impressed with the Sedona. Someone had even been there before and was excited to come back! They were extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the whole process. The house was spotless. I was actually sad to leave the next day! If we ever do it again, we know we already have the most perfect location to go back to! You can tell that thought and care goes into every inch of the house. I’m truly obsessed!

An absolutely beautiful home, inside and out. We had our son's wedding there, where I cooked for about 20 guests. The kitchen was nicely equipped for such a task. Very easy communication throughout the stay as well. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion. Everyone was very comfortable there, and we had ages 8 to 92 sstaying with us!

Really fun house to stay in. My wife, adult kids, and I enjoyed all the amenities and especially liked the outdoor areas with various places to hang out. The hosts obviously took meticulous care to craft such interesting areas in and around the house. The basement and arcade room were a blast too except my daughter destroyed me repeatedly in the Marvel game and Dig Dug LOL. I got her in Galaga though. Easy to hang out at the house and be tempted to not go anywhere else.

My husband Charlie and I have four children, and two grandchildren. Aside from my family, I love creativity and beauty! Working with my team on this property and creating this sanctuary in the city has been one of my most rewarding journeys to date. I am a retired DCFS master trainer. Prior to that, my sculptures were to be found in many of the local stores and businesses including the lobbies of the Old Clock Tower resort. It has been my good fortune to have traveled extensively here and abroad over the years. This Spanish style home is reminiscent of what I have seen with pargeted embellishments and walls that could tell many tales. My vision is to see this, 'The Sedona of Rockford' as a Beacon of Light that inspires us all!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

This property is a hidden treasure that has remained elusive to everyone I know. Its uniqueness to this part of the country is unparalleled in my view. It has been my honor to be able to bring it as they say, to the rainbow. We are all blessed.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

My team and I have gone to great lengths in creating a seclusive environment. Close the gates behind you upon entering and you feel as though you are no longer in the city, but rather in the heart of another place and another time. Due to my sense of wishing for others the experience of the extraordinary, at every turn a flair of Funk along with tradition will be found.
