Exactly What We Needed

Walking distance to Nye beach and cute shops. Nice yard/deck for dogs. It was cozy inside too and we had everything we needed in the house.

Great location. Just a few blocks to Nye. Could definitely use some Better furniture. New couches and mattresses. Minimal utensils in the kitchen and you have to have all your own steaming g accounts as there is no cable or TV network.

Underwhelming

The location is nice near Nye beach. The furniture was outdated, the floor absolutely filthy. Walking in bare feet covered my feet in dirt. The pots and pans were so terrible. I put a rusty sheet tray in the garbage and can't believe no one else put it there before. The comforter on bed was dirty. The only positive was the bed was comfortable.

The property was very dirty the vacuum was broken and there was no mop. Lots of dog hair especially on the beds and couches. Also the table was broken and when we are we had to be careful that it didn’t fall spilling our food everywhere. The television wouldn’t work till late in the afternoon and the Wifi broke a day before we left.

Biggest issue was a Safety concern with an outlet that looked like had a fire at some point because it was charred and had smoke stains around it. There was also mold in the clothes washer, food on the couch, and hair in the bathtub. The property manager was very communicative and addressed all the cleaning concerns, except for the charred outlet.

Simple, But Adequate

The basic needs are all here; kitchen tools and cookware. We restocked the salt and pepper, as well as contributed to the pantry items and left pancake mix for the next person. Beds felt comfortable enough, and it certianly wasn’t cold, thanks for all the cadet heaters. The house would benefit from a utility drawer, containing a screw driver, tape, and pencils etc. we manage to fix a few things that seemed to be falling apart with our pocket knife tools. (Oven handle fell off while using it). I’d have liked a tissue box too. But overall, nice stay, quiet, and close to Nye beach shops.

Great beach getaway marathon weekend

Checked in and it was a little bit hot and stuffy, but I just opened the window and the nice salty beach air came in and made it the perfect temperature. Everything was simple, neat and clean. I had brought pasta supplies, so I had everything I need to make some pasta. It was within walking distance of Nye beach so we could walk down to the beautiful, windy beach. A lot of stuff closes at 8 pm, so we just missed ice cream but could have made an earlier effort.Check in day, there were lots of comforters, blankets and pillows. I am picky on pillows but I even found one that was perfect! I was going to ask if next time they could put out more towels, but I found the hall closet full of towels just before we left! For a weekend marathon, it was clean, simple, and so close and comfortable that when I slept through my alarm I only had 30 min to get ready for my marathon. But I knew it was just down the road 4 minutes away, so I was dropped off at the start. The location is nice in that family could walk close to where the marathon passes at the beginning. After my marathon we could have walked back to Nye Beach close to the Chowder Bowl, but I was starving so we drove and found parking. I was not sure if the water would still be hot since it was later in the day, but the water was very hot. Although I was booked 2 days, we mostly just enjoyed the beach the 2nd day (after my run). It is close enough that teens and other young people could walk and get ice cream.

Clean and cute and close to the beach!

We stayed for three nights for a family visit and it was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools for meal prep (I did have to buy a grater and veggie steamer). There are grocery stores very near by and the surrounding area is clean and well-kept. The beach and lots of little restaurants/coffeeshops/drinking establishments, and shops are within walking distance. There were three of us staying there and others just visiting during the day and it was quite comfortable. I wouldn't want to push the capacity of six people sleeping and showering there, especially without more towels and space to hang them; I would book the other half of the duplex if there were more in my party. The beds were very comfortable! The fridge and dishwasher made it easy to manage the kitchen and the washer and dryer in the house were a great bonus. There was plenty of parking. There is a spacious front yard though it is right on the street and unfenced so pets and kids may need to be supervised. There was a lot of bedding and closet space. Extra chairs are also provided. The only mirror was a small one in the bathroom over the vanity. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Too much money for outdated mess

This place is gross and outdated. It looks like the furniture was left there by the grandparents who were bought out years ago with a couple of additions purchased from the Salvation Army. The lighting in the place was disgusting. I do not want to be assaulted by florescent blue lighting all over the place when I’m traveling. To make matters worse, the bedroom nightstand light would flash on every 20 seconds. I thought I was suffering from a medical condition, seriously, until I realized the next day that the lamp flashes intermittently. The couches in the living room were gross, I could almost smell the wet-sand-ocean dog stench being masked under some cleaning agent. The entire property is outdated and in dire need of some attention/modernization. Instead of just using this space to shovel money into your company’s bank account, consider creating a space that improves the neighborhood and provides an inspiring space for people to visit. You see, the main issue is that you can be better than this without much money and hassle, but rather, you decide to to the absolute minimum and keep hoarding that money just to buy more properties and perpetuate your gross business plan. So, yeah, didn’t care too much for the place.

Clean and nice location but in need of some TLC

Location is great - walking distance to Nye Beach but quiet street. The place was clean and cozy but things are a little worn. The dishwasher needs to be secured so it doesn't tip over. The kitchen sink drains very slowly. A couple of the kitchen chairs are broken. And the bedding was pretty worn and somewhat confusing. But all in all, it was a great 3 days with nice weather and a reasonably comfortable house.

Nice clean duplex in Nye Beach.

Nice place for small family or couple. Small kitchen but has adequate dishes and cooking pans. Small coffee maker. Pet friendly with laminate flooring. Lots of hot water.

Great, walkable location!

This property was around the corner from the downtown/historic Nye Beach District. A two minute walk to restaurants and shops, two more minutes to the beach, but quiet because it's off the beaten path. It's also just a few blocks from a bike shop on 6th St that will rent you a farthing or ebike to take down to the beach.

Good Stay, Good Location

Easy walk to the beach (5 blocks), quiet location & access to great neighborhood! Modest rental, but everything was as advertised. Wi-Fi connectivity was important to us- and no issues with that at all. Very pleased all around.

Perfect stay!!!!!

My family had a great time staying in this duplex. It was large enough for my kids to romp. the beds were very comfy. I loved the washer and dryer so I could do our laundry when needed. The kitchen saved us a lot of money I love to cook so it helped keep cost down. Very roomy parking. We were able to walk to Nye beach in about 5 mins. The neighborhood was adorable, quiet, and clean. The house was well furnished as well. It is close to shopping and restaurants. We will book again when we return.

Clean and centrally located.

I would stay here again. Unit is a nicely refurbished duplex in a residential neighborhood. It was likely built in the 60's. We used this as a base while we attended a conference nearby. It is a great value. Would I spend an anniversary here? No. Would I stay here with a friend to visit shops all day and go out to eat at night for a quick getaway? Yes.
