Come and relax with us in your own private cabin in the treetops nestled on the bluff overlooking the creek bed and surrounded by the Texas countryside.

Very secluded and welcoming. We had an amazing stay at this cabin. It is close to places for food or supplies and it is nestled in the cedar and slopes for a private feeling getaway. I will definitely stay again

Our Stoney Porch Stay was GREAT, this was out 6th. year to stay here to regenerate for the New Year. It's a very relaxing place to stay and I would encourage anyone to visit this quiet relaxing cabin. The host are wonderful and provide the a very relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I have already booked for next year. Enjoy your stay here.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. Kathi and Dan were incredibly welcoming and easy to communicate with. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy, the amenities were everything we needed, the location was ideal, and overall it was an excellent stay. We especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations and how the cabin smells like cedar when you first walk in. We would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone else interested!

We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet little cabin! It was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. We were only there for a short respite to get some things done away from home, but we wished we could have stayed longer. There are plenty of modern options out there, but I was craving that true cabin feel—and this one delivered perfectly. It’s comfortable, peaceful, and just what we needed. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a cozy getaway.

Dan and Kathy were excellent hosts and definitely went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The cabin was clean, had all the comforts of home, including a full size kitchen and was beautifully appointed. The location was in the beautiful hill country of Texas and was located close to many activities for all age groups. It was a perfect get away for two to enjoy the quiet country setting, but close enough to travel to other hill country towns or to San Antonio. We look forward to returning one day.

Great get away spot. In a great location within 30 minutes from Nee Braunfels & SanAntonio. We would highly recommend. The owners really have the cabin stocked with everything you need. You could stay & never have to leave.

The Stoney Porch guest cabin was everything and more than described. The cabin itself, location, and hosts were fantastic. Sitting on the porch, having coffee, and enjoying the wildlife set the mood for a great vacation. Definitely planning a return visit in the near future.

Kathi & Dan were awesome hosts and very friendly. We really enjoyed our 5-night stay (regretted not staying the week) and would not hesitate to go again in the future. Their location was ideal for nearby attractions and those in San Antonio. Really enjoyed relaxing at the overlook with a glass of wine while watching the deer.We would recommend Stoney Porch to anyone seeking a relaxing time.

The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was well stocked for cooking. We both slept great. There is a herd (4 or 5) deer who are frequent visitors to the area just beliw the deck that are beautiful to watch. It was a peaceful & relaxing stay!

This place is a little piece of heaven if you're wanting to disconnect from the busy world. The cabin was actually, better than advertised!!The check in process was very easy and the owners are very quick to repond and communicate. Will definitely stay there again!

Peaceful Retreat

Stoney Porch cabin made our trek through the Hill Country even sweeter. This beautiful cabin is well appointed with all the amenities you needfor a peaceful stay. The hosts were fantastic and provided an easy check in and checkout, providing all relevant information and easy to follow instructons. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place!

Super cute cabin! Really enjoyed the secludedness of it, and spent most of our time sitting on the back porch listening to birds and watching the deer come up to eat corn. Made some steaks for dinner and realized i had forgotten my seasonings, but there were several options to choose from in the cabinets so the crisis was averted! Lovely property owners that gave all the information needed for our stay. Will definitely be staying here again when we are back in the area

Wonderful Getaway!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary here!!It was secluded and surrounded by nature!We saw a couple of deer and even an owl!!The hosts, Kathi and Dan, were great! They gave us our space, but let us know that they were just a text or call away, if needed.We wished we could have stayed longer!

If there were a 10 star rating, this place and their owners deserve it. The attention to detail, and the respect and love of nature - as well, as the kindness and attentiveness of the owners are the best I’ve experienced in a Vrbo rental. We will definitely be coming back. If you’ve never visited the “Hill Country” of TX, this is a great base to explore, get advice/suggestions of restaurants/attractions…it would have been an awesome trip had we not left the cabin! Deer, birds, every morning and at sunset, there is something to see. I’ve lived and traveled all over the Americas, and this is now one of my favorite places. We will be coming back!

A great Texas get away!

We enjoyed the lovely Stoney Porch Cabin in the Texas hill country. The cabin was very clean and had every thing that we needed for our home base as we explored the hill country. It was fun to come back to our cabin after a days outing. Dan and Kathi have an adorable, well appointed cabin.

Kathi and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in May of 2019.
We met in college (Trinity University, San Antonio, Tx) and began our life together traveling through much of the world; worked together in a number of different ventures; and have truly enjoyed opening and administering to The Stoney Porch guest house on our property in the Texas Hill Country.

Kathi & I settled on this proper in 1995 because of the beauty and peacefulness that this area of the Texas Hill Country provides. It is home.
We built the Stoney Porch Guest Cabin because we wanted to share our appreciation for this beautiful area.

The Stoney Porch is unique because of the design and care that went into each phase.
We designed it and built it ourselves over a 2 year period and just opened in June of 2019. It's location on a 30' bluff that overlooks a valley and distant mountains make it as peaceful a location as one can find.
It is private and yet only minutes from rivers, lake, activities and entertainment of all kinds. Being 20 minutes from San Antonio offers a total contrast to the seclusion of the Stoney Porch Guest House.
