Loft Style Cottage, Lake Huron Views, and Sandy Beach Access

A fully furnished and beautifully remodeled Loft Cottage with an open floor plan and a large upper bedroom Loft; sleeps 2 and has 1-1/2 baths. It is less than 150 feet from Lake Huron and 2/10 of a mile walk to the beautiful sandy beach. The loft with balcony view of Lake Huron is breathtaking! Experience an unforgettable Lake Huron beach vacation with all the comforts and conveniences of home. The loft cottage main floor is beautifully furnished with a gorgeous leather loveseat and 2 comfortable sitting chairs suitable for reading and lounging, and a solid oak mission style dining table and chairs. It is accompanied with everything you need for your stay including a beautifully designed kitchen with island seating, cookware, dinnerware, storage, and many essentials, as well as Pottery Barn bedding and fine linens. As the sun rises above the horizon, a new day calls you outside to the enchanting water and beaches on the shores of Lake Huron. Although a small town, East Tawas has a very lively downtown area with many small specialty shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as a movie theater. Tawas Point State Park is 2-1/2 miles away to hike and enjoy unique bird sitings. Enjoy biking the shoreline to Tawas Bay, hiking or cross-country skiing at nearby Tawas Point State Park, Lumberman’s Monument, and Iargo Springs and Corsair Trails (10 miles West). Enjoy kayaking on Lake Huron or the AuSable River (13 miles N), and standup paddle boarding, kite boarding, and boogie boarding offered in the waters and at the beaches of Lake Huron at Tawas Point State Park. Enjoy Your escape to the breathtaking Lake Huron beach just a short walk to any cross street access to the beautiful sandy beach. Enjoy the sandy shoreline beach, roll in the waves, and take walks on the beach for more than 3/4 mile. Enjoy hiking and cross-country skiing at the nearby Tawas Point State Park (2-1/2 miles) and Huron National Forest (10 miles). Experience unique local attractions and local events from the local Farmers Market (Sat. In May-Oct.), Art Fairs, Tawas Uncorked wine and beer festival, and Blues By The Bay, as well as dark starry skies – experience them all!

Stayed half the summer here. Great cottage in a terrific spot. Tawas is big enough to meet all your needs and small enough to get away from it all. Will return!!

Sanctuary living!

Beautiful! Newly built/remodeled and owners thought of everything! Exceptionally clean and so cozy. If visiting during the summer, bring bikes to ride into town for shopping and dining.

This was a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Getting in was easy, the hosts left a lot of information including restaurant menus, ideas of things to do and simple checkout instructions. They left us a complimentary bottle of wine, water and a sweet gesture for anniversary. It was very clean, bright and well cared for.

Great stay

Whole process was very easy all the way around. Great hosts!! The only disappointment was the lack of kitchen supplies, ie, a blender, salad spinner, more large plates and veggie bowls. A tea kettle and tea pot, would have been nice. Otherwise , all great!

Beautiful property and location

The property lived up to the pictures from the website and was very well maintained. It's a short drive to the point and downtown. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful Loft Cottage with Lake Huron Views

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at this beautiful loft cottage just steps away from Lake Huron. Great Kitchen, bath and large loft with balcony view of Lake Huron. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake Huron Cottage

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in this cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. It is located about 10 minutes from downtown Tawas and even though it is not on the water with a short walk there is access to a sandy beach. Also, our host was great, they went out of their way to make our time enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again.

Scenic, relaxing, and quite location

The home is spectacular and very clean. Located close to downtown, restaurants, and beach. Enjoy the balcony for the lake view, open floor plan for a relaxing home away from home, and quite neighborhood for peaceful walks with great views and lake access.

Great place to stay!

This cottage exceeded our expectations. It was a very comfortable layout, very clean with all the amenities we needed for the week. The private beach was about a quarter mile walk and it was beautiful. We recommend this property for a couple or small family stay.

Lovely place to stay

My husband and I really needed a relaxing place to stay. This cottage was perfect. I’m very fussy about our accommodations ( I have been known to check in and check out after walking into other places) . This cabin is elegant. The owners are wonderful.

Cute, clean and cozy cottage

The cottage was well equipped and super clean. My family and I enjoyed the upstairs balcony and surrounding woodsy setting. Close to the Point. A quick drive to town and stores.

Perfect!

Just a relaxing weekend away. Explored the area without crowds. Nice to come "home" to a place to call our own, if even just for a few days. We could relax, read, watch TV or whatever. Highly recommend this host and cottage.

Dream home near the lake

This home is decorated beautifully and stocked with everything you could possibly need. With a short walk to the beach, the hosts gave us everything from chairs to a cooler/picnic gear. The communication with the hosts was supreme. Perfect place for those looking for an extended stay. I am already looking forward to coming back!

Return Visit

My family returned this summer and it felt like coming home. This is a clean beautiful cottage in a quiet neighborhood to rest and relax. It is not far to the beach for some fun there. The town of East Tawas is a few miles away. There is always something to do if you want. If you like this area you will not regret staying here.

Quiet Lake Huron get away

We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy, relaxing loft cottage for an extended weekend away from the kids. The rental was spotless with comfy bedding and thoughtful details at every turnto make our stay more pleasant. Although situated in a residential neighborhood, it remained very quiet and the beautiful wooded lot reminded us we were up north. The sandy beach was worth the short walk with crystal clear water and very few people.

Quaint cottage

Completely impressed with cottage. Cleanliness is extremely important to us and this was just what I hoped for. It was well furnished in all areas of the cottage. Loved the deck to watch the morning sunshine and the evening end. Close proximity to town and the state park which had nice beach area. A pleasure to stay here.

We both were born and raised in Southeast Michigan, and had a connection to beautiful and pristine Northeast Michigan. We spent many vacations with family and friends on or around the shores of Lake Huron. When we married, we bought a vacation home in East Tawas. We found the the shores of Lake Huron provided a peaceful and fulfilling environment at the same time all the qualities and serenity of small town Lake life. After living out of state for several years, once we both retired, our vacation home became our permanent home. We enjoy the tranquil, peaceful and worry-free life on beautiful Lake Huron, where the calmest of days provide peacefulness to the soul, and the blistering days and ferociousness of the water awakens our senses and stimulates our adventure to another beautiful day on Lake Huron.

We wish to share with others the tranquil quality of life on Lake Huron that we enjoy. We purchased this Cottage Loft home so others may experience the pristine peacefulness and every changing Lake Huron. And we hope it will draw people back to the Lake over and over again, to fulfill their soul and provide a new adventure every time.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The uniqueness of the Cottage Loft, from it’s new and beautifully accomplished interior walls, floors, and unique fine finishes, to the exterior quality construction and appointments. From the porch swing to the lighted pathway from the driveway, it is beautiful workmanship. It was newly upgraded and remodeled in 2018 with the finest of finishings from the fully equipped kitchen to the shower with a cascading waterfall tile wall, and the beautiful wood flooring of the Loft. We were drawn to the quaintness of the interior, but also to the views of Lake Huron 150 feet away from the Loft balcony and sitting areas, where others may come and enjoy rest and relaxation, and be able to rejuvenate their souls.
