Lakeview cabin: Perfect for large groups & ball teams minutes from lakepoint!

This is located on 250+ acre gated property on Lake Allatoona called Pine Acres Retreat. It was a Girl Scout Camp until 2017 sleeps up to 36 guests. Lakeview's main living cabin features WiFi, Smart TV, fully stocked kitchen, dorm-style restrooms (4 toilet stalls, 4 shower stalls and 4 sinks with) and two sofa beds. The main cabin is surrounded by four sleeping cabins containing eight structurally sound bunk beds in each. All cabins are climate controlled. A large back porch overlooks the lake and firepit. The entire area is private to the booked guests. (Inquire about additional accommodations, camping and events venues at Pine Acres.) Guests have access to a large outdoor pool, dock and kayaks and canoes at a nominal rate. Peaceful and secluded and only six miles from Interstate 75 just north of Atlanta.

High School Baseball Tournament

We brought our Varsity Baseball Team, Coaches, and a few mom’s to stay at this fantastic Cabin Site. It was great to see the players running around outside, enjoying the lake, and not playing on their phones. The bonfire we had on Saturday night was a wonderful opportunity to decompress after a long day of baseball and unwind for everyone. The kitchen and lodge were well appointed and had everything a group of 30 needed (tables, chairs, etc). It was fun to sit and have meals together around the tables vs eating out for every meal. Would definitely recommend this as a hotel alternate when having a large group or team. Brought back lots of memories from when I camped at the adjacent tent site with my Girl Scouts many times.

Wonderful accommodations!!!

We had a blast celebrating our daughter’s high school graduation for the weekend at Pine Acres! We stayed in LakeView and it was like our own lil oasis back there! There are plenty of tables and chairs for 30+ people and the bunk beds were surprisingly very comfortable!! All of our guests were very happy with the accommodations and most of them got the info from me for future stays! We will definitely be back to Pine Acres again!!!! Thank you so much!!

Pine Acres Retreat

A great place to stay with a large group. The individual pods are perfect for different guest groups (family, friends, handicap, etc.). Awesome access to the lake with peaceful surroundings. And best of all, Dawn the property manager, was so efficient and helpful! I will definitely look towards booking this property again. :)

Family Vacation

Everything was great about this place, the location the views, the surrounding areas. Our family stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend. A total of 34 of us plus our little 8 pound fur baby and it was an awesome experience.

Brotherhood Retreat

The Lakeview Cabin was the perfect place for our brotherhood retreat this spring. We brought about 20 people and had the space to do all we needed from fires, to lake trips, all the way to grilling and watching basketball in the evening. I would highly recommend this space to anyone with a group of over 15. The camp staff was there for all our needs on a whim. Can't wait to come back!

Excellent Property, Excellent Experience

The property itself was in fantastic condition, the landscape was beautiful and there were no complaints to be had at all about our stay. The communication with the property manager was open and continuous and Dawn, the manager, was super helpful with everything we could ask for. 100% would recommend this property.

Beautiful property. Needed water temp adjusted (they came out immediately) and spiders in shower stalls, stove pilot light out. Firepit was awesome and saw lots of deer. Full kitchen minus toaster. Impressive cabin/lodge feel. Decor really nice.

Perfect place for family/ friends reunions

We went with a group of 7 families, with kids ranging from 10-17 years old. 28 people in total.We assigned one pod to all the moms, one to Dads, one to the girls and the last one to the boys. It worked out great. The kitchen had plenty of utensils , so we never had to use paper products. I highly recommend renting the kayaks and canoe. It’s so reasonably priced and adds so much fun to the trip. The only thing we would have liked differently is a separate bathroom for men and women. Property manager Kim and the maintenance manager Dave are fabulous. They were extremely helpful and promptly responded to all our questions and needs. I would highly recommend this place for family reunions. Best Value for Money!!!

Rain or Shine, we had a GREAT time!!

This was a wonderful fall getaway for myself, my husband, children, grandchildren and friends. Plenty of room for all!! The weather wasn’t perfect, but with the beauty of our surroundings we made the very most of this time together! We loved the fishing, kayaking and s’mores around the fire! Old folks liked sitting on the back porch watching the kids have fun.

Lakeview Cabins is located at a facility called Pine Acres Retreat on 250+ acres owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and leased to Bartow County, Georgia Government. It is managed by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau by agreement with Bartow County. Pine Acres Retreat was a Girl Scout camp until 2016. The Atlanta Girl Scout Council transferred their lease from the Corps of Engineers to Bartow County in 2018.
