Perfect getaway

This was our first stay at this cabin and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The views are amazing and the moonlit chalet is unique and equipped with everything you need to have a most comfortable and tranquil vacation! Julie was so easy to work with and has thought of everything.

We absolutely loved our stay at Moonlit Chalet! The property was beautiful and very well designed, comfortable linens, nice furnishings, amazing view! Very relaxing. Close enough to Waynesville that we could enjoy the town, but far enough out that we could enjoy the quiet and our privacy. Would absolutely book again!

Beautiful Home with Amazing Views

The Moonlit Chalet was perfect for our family of 3. It had an antique charm with modern finishes and the view was spectacular! Every morning we would just sit on the porch and look out over the valley to the mountains. In the evening we'd sit around the fire pit. The house had everything we needed - we didn't want to leave!

Breathtaking Chalet

The chalet is as described & even more. The pics don’t do it justice & we simply didn’t want to leave. Thoughtful surprises were greatly appreciated such as a bottle of Chardonnay, coffee & a jar of preserves as well as a welcome gift box in the bathroom. Great detail was put into the chalet & the quality was very impressive. Some things that we noted for our next time (which we will be back)…. The living room TV is not a smart TV & has very limited channels on DirectTV. Not a big deal, but we stream Netflix & mirror from our phone for a fitness program so we plan to bring our fire stick on our next stay. The queen bed downstairs is extremely firm & the ceiling fan makes a knocking noise which we found bothersome, so we turned it off the 1st night. The 2nd we slept upstairs in the king & found it much more comfortable. We loved the downstairs bathroom w/ the soaking tub & double shower, but if your short you won’t be able to reach to turn the shower wand on. I didn’t use the upstairs shower, but my husband did & I enjoyed listening to him trying to use it. He said it was a cool gadget but he preferred the downstairs shower. All in all we loved our time & wish we could’ve stayed longer. We plan to stay longer next time so we can have a day to just stay at the chalet & grill out & simply enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Great experience & Julie was very attentive & easy to contact.

Transformative place to stay near Waynesville

This modern, sustainably decorated chalet is easily accessible, yet very private. Enjoyed the great mountain view even in July, the fire pit, relaxing under the roof overhang during the rain, and the soaking tub. Our trip-related tensions just melted away here.

Wonderful Place for Vacation

We enjoyed every minute. Beautiful cabin situated in a country location but only a few miles from restaurants, breweries, hiking, shopping, etc. Easy access to cabin.. The views are beautiful and my Husband and I enjoyed having a glass of wine by the fire pit at night. We will definitely be back. Host is a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Julie.

So gorgeous and peaceful!

This chalet was tucked into a gorgeous setting and was very comfortable. At the time, I think the listing said there was only one bathroom but there was actually two! Both beautifully remodeled. I would stay here again.

Great view!

We loved the view from this cabin and enjoyed a fire in the nice firepit! The host provided a nice s’mores set. Checking in and out was very easy! We did have some issues with bugs. In the upstairs bedroom, there were lots of flies, ladybugs, and stinkbugs that would gather on the ceilings above the lamps at night and some would even get in the bed. There were also quite a few dead bugs around the windows on both levels. In addition, some of the pans in the kitchen still had food stuck to them when we pulled them out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the great view!

A truly breathtaking view, inside and out!

This was the perfect place for our family of 4 to relax and unwind, in style. Julie has thought of everything you could need for your stay to make you feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are so comfortable and the extra towels were nice to have (the washer and dryer were an added plus as we didn't know we would have access to these). The bathroom suite on the main floor is a dream! We love how the whole chalet is decorated with a country European flair (it made us feel like truly on a unique vacation as we have stayed with friends in Europe). But the best part, is the covered porch with a view!! We had rain most of our stay but were still able to unwind on the porch. Due to the rain we were unable to enjoy the firepit, but Julie has everything there for you to use. It was also very nice to be able to sit on the covered porch for a meal and for the kids to do their college work. Besides the view of the mountains, the land around the chalet is just beautiful. We did get to hike the woods behind the house and even found a small waterfall. We enjoyed seeing all the neighbors animals and had some deer on the property. If you are looking for a place to stay to unwind from it all, especially this year....look no further! We will definitely be coming back!
