The Bunkhouse Lodge at Chesser Ranch

Do you need to get out of town and get-away from it all, but camping just isn't your thing? Then you're looking in the right place!

Our 3,000 square foot lodge style bunkhouse is located on the Chesser Ranch, one hour southwest of Roswell, New Mexico. We can promise you little to no traffic and an escape from cell phone reception. Wi-Fi is available--but if you want to get completely off the grid just let us know and we will accommodate! In the abundance of wide open spaces you're free to hike or bicycle to soak in the loads of peace and quiet waiting to be enjoyed. Occasionally, you might even get a visit from some local wild life! Throughout your stay, feast your eyes on the cattle and sheep grazing on the distant hillsides and savor the beautiful New Mexico skies that spread like a canopy over it all. As evening fades to night a spectacular blanket of stars is revealed--unhindered by intruding lights.

The warm and welcoming 2 bedroom, 3 bath lodge has a beautifully spacious great room with a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fire place sitting area, a pool table, and friendly lending library for your reading pleasure. Relax on the spacious covered porch or enjoy a soak in the private hot tub. Cook outdoors on our BBQ grill (gas or charcoal) or if you're feeling adventurous there's a campfire cooking area where you can grill a cowboy sized steak or toast a marshmallow! Just don't forget your food!!! It's a long drive to the grocery store!! Steaks and/or other cuts of Chesser Ranch beef or lamb available for purchase, based on availability.

At the end of the day, the peacefulness of the ranch setting promises a rejuvenating and restful night’s sleep. The Lodge at Chesser Ranch has two bedrooms complete with a private full bath in each. The Rodeo Room sleeps 4--(1) king and (1) twin bunk bed. The Indian Room sleeps 6--(1) queen and (2) twin bunk beds. A third full bath is located in the great room, complete with a horse trough shower! We also have a laundry facility for your convenience.

Horseback riding is available at $50.00 an hour/per person with a 2 hour minimum, by appointment only.
