Riverside house near Gloucester is a fantastic large private family house which is flexible to sleep between 20 to 30 guests, please note the prices will be reflected on group sizes and is changeable. Riverside house is perfect for all celebrations .
If you're a business stay, Spa Day, educational the group size can be larger with no restrictions.

Fantastic location by the famous River Severn, electric gated drive with private parking for 15 cars with easy access to Cheltenham and Gloucester and The Royal Forest of Dean .

Excellent Property

We stayed at this property for a large group and it was an excellent property. Cazz and team were very accommodating and helped us with multiple enquiries and even unloading a large shop for us. The house itself has loads of fun activities and the location is amazing. Ideal for big celebrations and parties. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Plenty to enjoy

The property turned out to be as advertised. There were 16 of us altogether ranging in age and interests and everyone found activities to enjoy, particularly in the pool.The location, right on the Severn, afforded excellent views of this fascinating river - it was a shame that we missed the bore by a week.Cazz was very approachable and responded quickly to our communications, although dealing with several electrical 'trips' was irritating and we were glad to have had competent people in our group.All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and were able to celebrate a significant birthday with friends and relations.

Family Gathering

We rented the house for a family birthday celebration. It was ideal for us - plenty of space and good mix of rooms for the various family groups and great entertainment facilities on site. We had a great weekend and would happily return. The owner was very responsive and helpful which made planning everything very easy.

Hen Party of dreams

This property was perfect for a Hen weekend and Cazz was a very helpful host! The property was clean and spacious with all the amenities you would need for a great hen party! The pool and garden were ideal for the hot weekend alongside the BBQ that was easy to use and created a great evening for all. I would 100% recommend this property :)

Another memorable time

Returned to this property a second time for a large family gathering and once again it didn't disappoint. The house and grounds are so well kept. Both adults and kids can be entertained as well as feeling relaxed. The memories that have been made from our visits often come up in conversation and now we've more to reminisce. Thank you to Cazz, Louise and all the team. We of course plan to visit again! Until then, all the best.

Wonderful, everything you need for any age group

Really lovely weekend staying with 4 different groups of the same family aged 72 - 8. The pool, games room, table tennis and hot tub meant something for everyone. As we had gorgeous weather we had some lovely local walks too. The bedrooms were spacious and each nicely decorated, everything you require is provided in the kitchens and toiletries provided in each bathroom. Some lovely welcome gifts and a card were a lovely touch and very well received. Excellent communication from the host throughout. Truly worth every penny

Beautiful house amazing stay

We were a party of 15 plus two dogs and had an amazing stay for a special birthday and anniversary. The house is beautiful and well equipped for a range of ages and weather conditions with the indoor pool and games room and outdoor jacuzzi and BBQ. Pre stay communication with Cazz was excellent with answers to questions along with help and advice for venues to eat and external catering. We were greeted by the housekeeper who gave us a welcome tour, she had received our grocery delivery and put them away in advance of our arrival a huge thank you to her. A welcome bottle of champagne, chocolates and balloons were a very special greeting from Cazz (thank you) The property and grounds are very secure and safe for children, dogs and cars with secure looks on the pool area and covers on the jacuzzi and electric gates to the front. In terms of surroundings, whilst you are by a busy road this did not impact on the stay and road noise was not that noticeable day or night. The local pub opened up for us early to dine and the local butcher made us some amazing BBQ packs Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend as an excellent celebration venue

positives overweigh the negatives on this property

Cazz is a great host and did well to answer emails in a timely manner. Louise gave us a tour when we arrived and was also very nice. A few negatives- there were dirty towels (red room) and used bed sheets (dorm) left in some of the rooms. Throughout our stay there was also a foul smell which lingered inside the house and outside. At times it was unbearable. Cazz said its the next door cattle farm and being in the countryside! I'm not sure that is the case. The water in the shower plug hole (by dorm) was also coming back up. positives- there are many. A lovely property and the pool and hot tub was clean and easy to use. The property is nice and on the whole clean. There were 20 of us and it didn't feel overcrowded. There was a burst main pipe nearby which meant on the morning of Day 1 there was no water. Cazz kindly drove up and left us some water bottles to use in the meantime. Overall, a lovely place to visit with friends and family and spend a few days (just bring pegs for the stench that whiffs by).

Perfect Location for an Extended Family Weekend away

We were a family group of 21 aging from 11 months to 81 years old. The Float house was the perfect location for our annual family gathering and we had a very happy stay there. Cazz’s communication in the lead up to our weekend was very friendly she gave lots of helpful advice in preparation for our stay. The housekeeper Louise welcomed us and showed us round and staff had received an internet grocery delivery for us earlier in the day which was great. Cazz had left balloons fizz and chocolates as we were celebrating an 18th birthday which was extra special. The beds and bedrooms were all very comfortable and the whole house was clean and very well presented. The big brother bedroom was great for cousins to sleep in together and there were plenty of activities on site to occupy us despite the inclement November weather. It was great to all be able to sit round the dining room table and also to sit together comfortably in the lounge. The pool was warm and clean and could be locked up safely when not in use. There were pool toys for young and old - playing water badminton was a first ! The kitchen diner although not large enough for 21 to congregate in we had all we needed and we could take turns in the hot tub just outside. The garden backing onto the River Severn would be a wonderful location for a BBQ in the summer but we enjoyed a good walk along the river when the rain let up. The location was great as it was accessible for those arriving by train to Gloucester but also it is not far from the Forest of Dean. We finished our weekend with a group Sunday Lunch at the White Hart looking over the River Severn. A great end to a very happy weekend. We would be very keen to stay again and would heartily recommend the Float House to other similar parties.

Family celebration

We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for multigenerational nature of this celebration of my wife’s birthday. Everything was perfect for the personal message and gift from Cazz the owner to the recommended caterer who was familiar with the property and just made it even more seamless. A wonderful experience and a venue that I would thoroughly recommend

Family weekend

An excellent place for a very comfortable, warm and happy family gathering. Plenty to keep the younger ones occupied (difficult to get them out of the pool!!) space for all.

Amazing house for an amazing weekend

We stayed at Riverside for a birthday/stag weekend and we were blown away with the place. It is literally perfect for a weekend away with friends. We were warmly greeted by Cazz who showed us around and had even taken the trouble to make up the beds especially to match the number of our guests. The house was beautifully presented and the indoor pool and games annex were perfect for chilling out. It is an isolated location, which suited us well but also very accessible for nearby activities and Gloucester/Cheltenham. We will have to come back and try out the BBQ area in the summer. If you get the chance to book this house I would jump at it - you really won't regret it.

Amazing!!!

A large group of us stayed this house for my best friends hen weekend. It was amazing! such a beautiful house and the views are fantastic. Plenty of space and the pool and games room were perfect. The house was spotless and lovingly decorated and such a wonderful surprise for our bride to be who had no idea what we had planned. I Spoke with the owner (several times lol) who was so lovely and helpful all the way through the booking process and helped with every question I had. She had also left some lovely balloons, - bottle of fizz and some chocolates for our bride-to-be. I would highly recommend and really hope to have another occasion to visit in the future!! Thank you so much Cazz!! We all want to come back :)

Amazing 30th birthday weekend

A large group of us hired this house for my 30th birthday and it was one of the best weekends I've ever had. This place is all you need for a weekend get together. Massive house, games room, amazing heated pool, sky tv, nice garden and very private. The owner and cleaner are nice and they even left me champagne, chocolates and a card for my birthday. My friend turns 40 next year and we will definitely be renting this house again because it has literally everything you need to have a fun weekend. Awesome
