Another quick note: VRBO has started using AI to update items such as amenities or attractions nearby without the Hosts approval. If you are interested in specific amenities please ask me (Becky) and I will confirm. The other day VRBO said I had a pool at our Boyer Log Cabin (I wish). We want our guests to have a great stay with no surprises or disappointments, so if you see a Pool listed anywhere, sorry, we don't have one - thanks!

We sleep 8 humans (no exceptions). Sit inside our screened porch and watch the sunsets or take our aluminum stairs down to a rock-shelf shoreline (see pics). Take our 2 Kayaks out for a paddle (seasonal) - (do not leave them unsupervised, you don't want them floating away! Please use the kayak stand located at water's edge, see pic). View the Niagara Escarpment - this was formed when glaciers gouged out soft shale and left harder dolomite exposed. These glaciers gave shape to the Great Lakes. You can see some of the escarpment in the pictures on the site. We may or may not have a dock; it depends if it's able to be installed (weather and worker shortage are major factors). You can still access the rock-shelf shoreline using the aluminum stairs.

We SUPPLY BATH TOWELS AND LINENS (many properties do not or they charge you for a "linen package") don't take up precious suitcase space! We also have walking trails! Take in all the nature you need on your own private walking trails; located directly across the street from Boyer Point Cottage - we have 14-acres which are all yours.

Boyer Point Cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in total. You will find Rough Sawn Cedar throughout the house. On the main level, we have a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms: both with queen beds. The front room area has 2 couches, 2 chairs, Roku TV, and the dining area (refer to pictures); from the front room, you access our screened porch through french doors to sit outside and view the beautiful sunsets every evening. Upstairs we have a nice sitting area with a couch and another Roku TV (movies and DVD player). Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms: 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 bedroom which has 2 twins, a full bathroom is upstairs as well. You get a great breeze off the Bay - open your windows at night and listen to the waves. Outside we have a fire pit and chairs for your use. At the top of our aluminum stairs there is a small outside patio area with 2 new benches, sit there with your glass of wine and soak it in if you don't want to take the stairs. We have a CHARCOAL grill for outside use.

Located in the perfect area of Egg Harbor, Boyer Point Cottage is on the point of Horseshoe Bay with expansive Bay views and amazing sunsets. We are approximately 0.3 miles from Murphy Park which is a 15-acre lakefront park that includes a sand beach, boat launch, and walking pier. The town of Egg Harbor is approximately 4 miles away and is the favorite Door County town for many travelers with the municipal beach, harbor park and restaurants.

We do supply basic white cotton bath towels; it's not an unlimited supply like hotels - you will most likely do a laundry load of towels if you're staying a week.

We are sorry to report, we have stopped allowing you to bring your family dog to this property. We had trouble with guests not adhering to our dog rules (letting them sleep on the beds, furniture and barking all day long on the porch). Being a good neighbor and a good guest is very important to us.

Cancellations – Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund. However; if they cancel in less than 60 days, we will make every good faith effort to re-rent the House for the same period and rental amount, and if successful, the entire rental amount will be returned minus a $100 service charge.
