McCall Cottage Cabin

Guests can enjoy an evening out on the deck or sitting around the firepit at this lovely home. In the winter, the wood stove provides plenty of heat that everyone can enjoy. Guests of this home will also have access to a shared seasonal pool, hot tub, gym, and more via the Spring Mountain Ranch HOA.

Mile High Marina (on Payette Lake) is a mile and a half west, where guests can dine, shop, swim, and rent toys for a day on the water. Ponderosa State Park is two miles northwest for guests seeking hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing in the summer. In the winter, guests can snowshoe or nordic ski. Bear Basin is just over six miles northwest for more summer and winter fun.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Cottage

The access stairs to the Cottage are under repair and difficult to navigate. Also the front step had a loose board that kept flipping up.

4th of July Getaway

We loved our time here! Everything was clean and cozy. It was the perfect size for our family. We loved the wrap around deck and beautiful outdoor area. The inside was stocked with everything we needed. I would love to stay here again in the future! Definitely 10 out of 10!

Home away from home

This is our third time at the McCall Cottage. It is always clean and comfortable with great supplies and amenities. We enjoyed our time on the deck watching the deer. Only thing we saw that needs attention was the bar stools are starting to get wobbly and needs some tightening. We will be back.

Great stay

Great clean home about 1.2 miles from downtown. The neighborhood pool and tennis courts were a big hit.

Lovely home Too many steps!

Nicely furnished and well supplied kitchen however we were surprised with the hike and number of stairs from available parking to front door. Difficult with luggage or groceries. We were disappointed to find our rental not cleaned when we arrived and had to call vacasa for service, delaying entry until after 5pm. Grill on deck was filthy and full of ash and requires charcoal which vacasa contract specifically forbids using. Advertised firepit also was filthy and not safe to use. Most disappointing of all was discovering that the keys cards for pool, whirlpool and gym did not work! This issue was not resolved until 3:30 pm the day prior to our departure. All fixable issues for a very pretty home but made for a frustrating vacation.

Great place for a vacation!

This was our third time at this cabin, and we have enjoyed it each time. The one drawback is having to walk down a set of stairs to the cabin. That notwithstanding, it is well stocked and comfortable, and the owners keep it updated. Needs a little carpet cleaning now but that is to be expected with how popular this spot is. Thanks!

Great Stay in Mccall

Wonderful cabin that was dog friendly and had plenty of space for a family of 4! Very close to downtown McCall and great walking paths right outside of the neighborhood.

Great place to relax!

Perfect vacation home for us! Home is off the road, which we liked with children and dogs. Hard to see in the evening as the stairs are not lit. Home was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Kids loved having the loft to themselves. Note there is not air conditioning but didn't get too warm (end of Aug) and fans in each room to keep air flow. Beautiful paths to take walks, easy access to pool (highlight for all of us!), and a quick drive to downtown. Even though this home is very dog friendly, please be aware that there are two neighbors who do not like dogs, at all. Our 2-year-old let out the dogs to go potty, as he does at home, and we leashed them immediately, just steps from porch. We woke up the next morning to an officer issuing us a ticket, without hearing our side of the story. We learned this is a known issue and there is zero empathy towards you if your dog is off leash, even for 30 seconds.

So fantastic~ I’m booking again!

The stay was amazing! The cabin was sparkling clean, roomie and beautiful off the back deck. The only negative I can say is that my stay was too short! 😉 Booking much longer next time. ~Truly a little hidden gem.~

Nice little cabin 5 minutes from town - with a few wrinkles

This is a great place to stay. Close to town yet quiet and away from the noise. The property is, however, very close other properties and you cannot drive directly to the property. It requires navigating a serious set of gravel steps. The owner needs to be more clear about this for folk with physical limitations. If you love privacy and solace, this may not be the place for you. The owner requested removing shoes but the floor was not clean and our socks got quite dirty. The internet was out during our stay but that is not the fault of the owners. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing lacking was a way to boil water for tea and french press.

When Can I Come Back

First, time to McCall and I would return to this property over and over again. Great location. The place is well taken care of and stocked with everything you would need to have a great time.

Quiet Neighborhood

The inside was clean, (I do feel the house could have been vacuumed better in the upstairs bedroom.) but the outside deck, table & chairs were another story. It looked like it hadn't been swept or hosed off in a while. We love to sit outside on the deck and have coffee or drinks, and I think the cleaning company forgot about the outside, especially in the summer! The outside space was one of the reasons we picked this property, it was located in a Very quiet neighborhood which was relaxing!

Awesome winter refuge

This adorable cabin was everything we needed for a week-long stay - well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, lots of privacy. The many snow-covered steps down to the front door wouldn't work for everyone, but for 2 kids and a Labrador it was not a problem. We'll be back!

Great Winter Retreat

Cute and cozy. Loved the decor, especially the local artwork. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. to make a few delicious family meal. A fun time away with family!

Thanksgiving Retreat

Cozy cabin for a family gathering during the holiday. Very comfortable and plenty of dishes to prepare a feast. As a family, we completed all the puzzles provided and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. I would stay here again.

Great stay!

We loved our stay! The house was very clean and well-stocked for our trip. It would be perfect for a ski trip as well but we loved being there so close to Thanksgiving.
