Come and relax with the serenity of all that Silver Lake has to offer! We are on a quiet section of the lake, and enjoy the call of the loons. You are sure to see them swimming by as well!
In the woods on Silver Lake this modern cabin has a kitchen with microwave and all amenities including coffee maker and espresso machine. Living/dining room overlooking Silver Lake with 3 French doors opening on a nice deck for having a cup of blueberry coffee. No need to worry about finding a laundromat as there are a washer and dryer in the basement. The master bedroom, with a high queen bed, is up the open stairway overlooking the deck and lake. Books, DVDs, puzzles, and games are at your disposal. Each bedroom has its own TV/DVD. This quiet cabin is 45 minutes north of Bangor, ME between Lincoln and Lee.

Like to hike? Like to ride your four-wheeler? Like to just sit and drink blueberry coffee and do nothing?! This is the place to do it! Lots of trails right behind the house. Canoeing is a good option also. Bring your best four-legged friend and hang out at the Lake!


In the area: Also in the area are restaurants in Lincoln and Lee, with a hospital with ER in Lincoln only 9 miles away. In Lincoln also are a WalMart and Hannaford grocery. Plenty of gift shops and antique shops are in the area as well has horseback riding.

For those in a gambling mood Bangor has a casino. And Maine is also the home of Stephen King! Perhaps you will pass him on the street!

Got there after dark and hit a cell dead zone, so I lost my google maps, texted James and he called me back right away. He stayed on the phone with me until I found the cabin and was inside. So thankfulā€¦. Loved the back deck and the 4 poster bed upstairs, the bird feeds were an added delight. The cabin is so spacious and has a great lay out. Felt like home away from home and I wanted for nothing. Thank you James for being an awesome host.Jennifer G :)))

The cabin was very cozy, pet friendly, clean, and you could not ask for anything more! All kinds of activities at the house no matter the weather. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we just booked again for the only week available in July 2026!

This was our first experience with a VRBO property, and it could not have gone any better. The homeowner James answered every question in a timely manner, and when he found out we would be arriving after dark, he made sure that there were lights on so we wouldn't be entering a dark house. The house was exactly as advertised, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything necessary to cook if you so desire. Everything was spotless, there were extra blankets and pillows, and the towels and wash cloths were plentiful. The house was nicely decorated for Halloween, and was nicely decorated in general. There were multiple entertainment options - books, movies, streaming apps, etc. My family had the best time and we highly recommend this house if you're looking to spend time in Maine:)

James and Diane's cabin was a little slice of paradise in rural Maine. The scenery right out the back door is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed listening to the calls of the loons at night while sitting on the deck with cocktails. The house was spotless and has everything you could need for your stay. We brought many things with us that we never even opened. It was even stocked with Starbucks K cups! That made my coffee loving heart very happy. They even provided upscale bath products, and had a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. One thing to keep in mindā€¦ This is not a tourist location, so you will be driving quite a distance for restaurants, etc. But that is what we wanted. Highly recommend treating yourself to a stay at this lovely home.

Two great room options, upstairs bed a bit tall for our dogs, we were too high up for their liking. Comfortable spaces to hang. Nice clean property with thoughtful touches. Would highly recommend if youā€™re looking for an off the beaten path stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

The Lakefront home is absolutely wonderful! This was our 5th stay here and each time we love it more and more. Words just canā€™t describe the beauty of looking out over the lake while sipping coffee on the deck or listening to the loons at night from the lovely upstairs bedroom.Thereā€™s something magical about walking down to the dock and going for a kayak or canoe paddle any time you want. A review I read the first year we came said it was ā€œright out of a Hallmark movie.ā€ And it is. It was immaculately clean and the neighbors, Jim and Diane to the right are fabulous. We love that we can bring our dogs and we all feel right at home. We really appreciate the kindness of James, the owner, in generously sharing his special place!

Beautiful house on the lake

The host is very responsive! He went above and beyond when I asked to book and additional night! He even called, texted and messaged in VRBO, letting me know the house was ready for us to check in. The pictures of the house do not do the house justice! It is very nice! Everything had a place and it was very clean! The house has everything you need, including indoor/outdoor games and plenty of movies.The lake is absolutely peaceful. We enjoyed most of our time on the dock or on the lake canoeing and kayaking. If you are looking for peaceful time away, this is your place!

Beautiful peaceful home on lake

This property was absolutely beautiful. The homes open concept with cathedral ceilings are gorgeous. The lake view from the bedroom upstairs is so relaxing. More than i imagined. We will definitely be back to enjoy this property and all the lake has to offer. The hosts are amazing as well.

Maine Magic at Its Finest

James is an incredibly gracious host who has truly thought of every detail to make your stay special. From the personalized welcome note to a separate one just for our dog (complete with treats!), we felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived.The house is stocked with absolutely everything you could needā€”and then some. I brought so many things I never even unpacked because James already had it all covered. We drove in through a storm, turning our 5-hour trip into a 7-hour trek, but the moment we stepped inside, it was all worth it.The spacious open floor plan, high cathedral ceilings, and peaceful view of the lake created the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The photos truly donā€™t do this property justice. Our teens loved the board games, and I loved curling up on the couch with a good bookā€”itā€™s the coziest spot to read and recharge.Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and thoughtful touches that make a stay unforgettable.

Perfect getaway

It was a beautiful view , along with it being spotless and clean Iā€™d stay 1000 x over again . Communication was amazing , and it felt like home . Literally everything listed was accurate . We only had to buy groceries.

Great relaxing weekend!

The cabin was perfect for our long weekend and very tranquil and relaxing. Itā€™s much larger than it looks in pictures and has everything you could need. We would love to come back in the summertime!

James bought the house as a retirement home. BUT he knew that retirement was a long way in the future so he outfitted it like he would like to see it and decided to rent it out so others could enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Maine.
When we met he said he would never be able to see Maine again...as he had lived there as a young man and went to school for college there. This proves him wrong!!

We looked at homes in Vermont and New Hampshire because we thought Maine was totally out of the price range. But Maine is where we both wanted to be. He found this one on his own and I got to pick between two. This one is the winner!
