Luxury Guest Cottage in the ❤️ of Oxford! 1.4 miles to Oxford Historic Square and 2.4 miles to Ole Miss! Our property is conveniently located just down the street from Avent Park in a residential, family friendly neighborhood. It's close to all of your favorite sites and restaurants. Professionally decorated and comfortably furnished, it's complete with everything you need, including full gourmet kitchen, Keuring, full-sized coffee pot (coffee and fixings)and full sized washer and dryer. We offer luxury bedding including PineCone Hill and Peacock Alley for that luxury hotel feel. Guests are provided towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hairdryer. A great outdoor space with a canopy of lights is included as well to enjoy our nightly visits from neighborhood deer. We are located 1/2 mile from Avent Park, complete with wonderful playground equipment, walking trail, and Pickleball/Tennis courts. Come enjoy our quaint, charming town! Perfect for game/event weekends or business professionals seeking quiet, well-appointed stay. New hardscaping and landscaping add perfect sophistication to the cottage and welcomes you when you arrive. We offer monitored parking for 2 vehicles. Need me to stock the fridge prior to your arrival? No problem, I'm happy to offer complimentary concierge services to meet any of your needs! (no additional upcharge, just the cost of the items) "Arrive as guests, and leave as friends." Please note we have exterior motion-activated Ring floodlight with video monitoring for driveway and Cottage front door for added sense of security.
***main house, which is 4 additional bedrooms, on property and shares a driveway, may be considered for rental as well for additional fee. We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage and hope to return on our next trip. It’s perfection! Spic-and-span clean, elegant, and ideally located in a beautiful neighborhood. With my husband’s mobility issues, the cottage had everything we need to a most comfortable stay: could drive to (and park) by the entrance, no steps, an easily accessible shower, and a king-size bed. And there couldn’t be more gracious and kind host. One of our most favorite stays, ever.

The hart cottage was an absolutely adorable and charming place. The host was amazing with communication and the warm welcome when we got there. The location was perfect so close to the Square. I would highly recommend.. I know we will be staying again.

This definitely one of the nicest short term rentals I’ve stayed in. The hosts were so accommodating and the unit was everything as described and more. I’ve never had a host offer to grocery shop for me prior to arrival. They were just fabulous. For sure will stay here again when in Oxford.

We gifted a 2-night stay for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. They absolutely raved at the property and the lovely owner. My FIL asked me to convey the following: "You'll miss out if you don't book this wonderful property. It's totally relaxing both inside abd out. Perfectly done with charm & detail. Five stars are not enough!

This was our second extended stay at Hart Cottage, and will not be our last. This property exceeds the 5-star ranking in every category: it is spotless, check-in is beyond easy and convenient, the online listing description and photos are completely accurate, Jo Shannon has no equal in terms of communication and responsiveness, and the location/neighborhood is perfect for us (quiet and pretty surroundings, yet a pleasant walk or quick drive to the Oxford Square). The cottage itself is bright and beautiful, and well-appointed. The hosts are truly wonderful: warm, friendly, attentive, and hospitable. We hope to return soon!

Exceptional Experience

Hart Cottage was AMAZING! It was the perfect spot for an extended stay as we moved our daughter to college and stayed during the recruitment process. The owners were extremely friendly and kind. From the moment we arrived it was obvious they absolutely LOVE hosting folks in their property. They were punctual with all communication and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - right down to stocking the fridge with homemade yogurt and our favorite beverages...not to mention the basket full of goodies that we snacked on for over a week! The cottage had every amenity I needed for an extended stay and I felt right at home. I cannot image staying anywhere else in Oxford when I return to visit my daughter! Thank you for making our move-in and recruitment stay so comfortable - we will be back!

The Hart Cottage was the most perfect spot!! From the accommodations to the friendly neighbors, and of course the hosts, every single detail was perfectly thought out. Luxury in Oxford

This cottage is perfect to relax and rejuvenate! Mark and Jo Shannon are wonderful hosts. The thought that they put in to every detail is much appreciated. It smells divine, the kitchen is fully stocked, bed and living area are very comfortable and immaculately clean, and the outdoor seating with fire pit is the icing on the cake! We have stayed here multiple times and every visit has been delightful. We had some unexpected cool temperatures and rain this time and Jo Shannon provided us with blankets to keep warm at the outdoor concert and even offered sweaters and jackets! The hosts embody southern hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Perfectly peaceful

Hartnett Cottage far exceeded any expectations I had prior to arrival! I came to Oxford for a parent event at Ole Miss and this was exactly the retreat I needed at the end of each day! Our hosts were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and stress-free during my stay! This level of professionalism and authentic care and concern for your guests is too rare these days; Jo Shannon has it down to a science! Additionally, the cottage was immaculately clean and well appointed. I will definitely be returning on future trips!
