This charming Key West style home features a beachy and clean modern interior decor that will let you truly unwind and feel as you're already at the beach! It's fully gated for privacy and boasts two covered porches equipped with comfortable seatings. The property has a large yard with beautiful mature trees and established landscaping. The fabulous tile shower and jacuzzi tub provide all the relaxation you may need. Excellent boating as the house is located seconds to the open Gulf. The living room area features comfortable leather couches located right in front of the flatscreen TV, which makes it the right place to kick back and relax after a long day exploring the area.

You'll be located in the heart of Marathon near restaurants, the grocery store, pharmacy, and shopping! You can also find several charter fishing boats and water sports companies to provide guests with fun on the water! Sombrero Beach is two and a half miles south and the Dolphin Research Center is under 10 miles east for even more entertainment!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House, pool & property well maintained.. proximity to restaurants & stores. Small issues handled quickly. Abundance of linens & kitchen necessities supplied. Only recommendation would be a better master bedroom mattress. Would highly recommended the property

Island Time

Very clean, idyllic, rental on the water that was one of the best we’ve visited. Weather was perfect, sailed on Sweet Chariot (42’ Jeanneau Sun Odyssey), visited Turtle Hospital, gave manatees a short drink of fresh water from our dock. On top of that, the best seafood choices from numerous restaurants. Want to have a drink or two? Call Island Taxi for a few bucks. Gorgeous view from our dock, pool was crystal clear. Parking was off the street behind a sliding gate. We felt very secure the entire time. We went up to the loft mainly for the view from the upper deck. (The spiral staircase would not work well for two almost 70 yr olds visiting the bathroom at night.) Kids would love it. Kitchen appliances were great and worked well. You need to remember there is no garbage disposal so large food leftovers go in the trash. Single bathroom would be a stretch for groups over 4 so just remember to be patient, go sit in the sun with a beverage of your choice, and wait for your turn. Grab some Natalie’s Grapefruit juice, Grey Goose vodka and a pinch of salt and enjoy your perfect Greyhound!

Nice place to relax

Pros: Nice house, plenty of space for 2 people, up to date, great response from Vacasa on a couple minor issues. The back porch and pool area were our favorites, including some up-close views of the manatees in the canal off the boat dock. Cons: As other reviews mentioned, the bed is not great and needs a new mattress. A king-size bed would be a great upgrade. TV service doesn't include major networks. Overall a nice place and well-priced for what you get.

Great place in central Marathon

Trout Key is a clean and modern piece of paradise. The house is on a quiet street with plenty of parking and only minutes to the gulf. The house, pool, dock, and cleaning station are everything you need for a great time.

Wonderful stay

This small home was perfect for our girls vacation. Kitchen was well stocked. Pool was perfect size for lounging. Noticed 2 small maintenance issues but the did not impact our fun at all. We enjoyed watching the fish and the manatee from the dock. Would note that the extra beds are upstairs in the loft area and the spiral staircase is more suited for kids or small adults. Also, in previous reviews there was noted to be construction noise. The construction is completed and so everything was super quiet. The cameras pointed at the pool did make me a little uneasy but I just tried to ignore them. My only real complaint is I never found the front porch lights and trying to go down the steps in the dark resulted in a nasty fall. But that’s a klutz for you. :)

Paradise!

We had an amazing vacation in paradise! It was a quiet neighborhood, semi-secluded but close enough to the main road. We enjoyed the pool every single day and loved cooking inside or out on the grill. Many wonderful moments were spent laying in the sun or under the tiki hut! A couple safety suggestions: there should be hand rails to assist getting out of the jacuzzi tub & the deck steps out to the pool should have one more light on the bottom step. Overall, it was an amazing place to stay and we hope to book it again in the future!

Very nice spot

The property was very nice the back patio was awesome we had a manatee visit us the first morning there which was really cool. It would have been nice to have the ability to use the boat lift. The pool was rather dirty we asked for it to be cleaned and that didn't happen. Despite these issues I would highly recommend this property

Nice place, not worth the price. On camera as well

House was nice and fixed up cute however we rented for a week and were given next to no supplies and were told we need to buy soaps, toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. The bathroom door locks you in everytime you close it and can only ve opened from the outside. Some of the outlets don't work and the pool is way to cold to be in.. not heated. We had an alarm start going off and it was 2+ hours till they came and shut it off. There are also 2 camera pointed directly at the pool so doesn't make you super comfortable. Place was very cute and had great amenities otherwise.

Great location

Right in the middle of the keys, perfect spot to stay for traveling up and down the island chain. The house was great, everything we needed for the two of us. Would definitely stay again if available next time.

Great little house, very cute!

Cozy little house in a fairly quiet area. There is a little noise nearby--kids playing right next to it at the condos that are pretty close so it feels like they are right on top of you if you're not a TV watcher or doing something else to cover up the outside noise. We're the "lazy and quiet" people who do nothing and sit around so noise is more of a problem for us than most. I'll say the AC unit is either inadequate or poorly installed, couldn't really even cool the place on a 78 degree day. Other minor issues like some lights not working and such that I reported to management but nothing that would keep us from staying again. The fast and stable Internet was a plus! Too cold to use the pool but I'm betting that pool is awesome during the warmer months! It's perfect size to just get in and cool off or float on a raft. Entire lot is gravel so there's no mud or sand to deal with.

Fantastic location!

We loved everything about this place except the beds. Very soft, and small! We had our boat at the dock, and it was great! Quick jaunt down the canal and you are in the bay. We fished and dove 7mile Bridge. We hung out at molasses key. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at The Keys Steak and Lobster house. The pool was a must after 7 hours in the boat! Perfect for 3 or 4 people. Would have loved a fire pit at the end of a long day to relax by.

Relaxing Keys style

The cottage was comfortable, clean and decorated very well. It had everything you may need to make you feel at home. The extra towels and linens were a nice touch. Most mornings and evenings were spent in the back yard enjoying the pool,dock and tiki hut. Very happy with our stay. Kate and Chuck Jacksonville ,Florida

Perfect Stay!

The house was perfect for the two of us. It was very bright and clean with a modern design inside and out. The owners put a lot of thought into this house. It was well stocked with linens and kitchen ware, but no food staples. We loved the location too. It's very close to Sombrero Beach, grocery stores and restaurants. If there were 2 bathrooms, we'd come back with our kids but for 2 people it's great. It should be mentioned that the spiral staircase probably would be difficult to navigate for young children and older adults. But the upstairs is a bright beautiful comfy space to relax with a crow's nest view!

Girlfriend getaway

This home was lovely! I enjoyed a much needed nice vacation with my best friend. The place was very clean and the space inside was very open and bright. The pool was a lovely way to cool off on our hot sunny days. The location was also great. Close to Sombrero Beach, Marinas for charter fishing and grocery stores. I would hope to go back someday!!

Great place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My husband fished in the canal every day (didn’t keep any, but had fun), and we played in the little pool. The location is central to the restaurants and activities. There are new apartments across the canal and next to the house, and we occasionally had some people noise from the apartments. It was just the 2 of us staying-if anybody is planning to stay upstairs, it should probably be kids. I don’t think you could get luggage up the small spiral staircase. We didn’t need it, so it wasn’t an issue for us. All in all, it was great!

Everything was great. The only issue is that we had a couple of questions about the property. left messages. one message was never returned. one was but they had to check into our question. We never got a response back. Other than that the house was beautiful. There was construction next to the property. However, it was little inconvenience as we were gone most of the day.
