It was a wonderful and relaxing stay celebrating 19 years with my husband! We loved to kayak and use the paddle boat! It was a quiet private retreat to reconnect with each other and nature! We are already planning our next stay!

wonderful place to stay

this place was great. the only issue we had was we got there late and everything was dark, so we were unable to easily find the building we were staying at. (in case someone has the same issue as us) there is a big house with detached garages. the building is behind the garages and the house and a little bit downhill. once we settled in everything was great. the property is big and pretty. we're big into fishing and the small lake was a great spot to fish. we are already considering going back again in the future.

A Break from the City

The place was nice and comfortable. We called it the lake cabin because this place has a lake for you to enjoy, kayaking and fishing. Essentially, it's a one bedroom cabin, it was clean and has everything you needed in a home. It was "home away from home." It's a perfect place for couples or three, the third person sleeps on the sofa bed. Highly recommended and we would go back to this place.

Great Place to Rest

The property is beautiful and the little house has everything. The only thing I would change is the mattress on the bed, we felt is was too small. And adding a small recycle bin in the kitchen.

Relaxing Retreat

Beautiful relaxing getaway! Guesthouse is perfect for 3! Comfortable and very clean. Modern amenities. Tennis court was awesome! The private lake was nice!! Highly recommend for a small family getaway!

Sweet Spot

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway. The place has high end finishes, is very clean, and is well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the filtered water system. We enjoyed exploring the property, playing tennis, and paddling around the lake on the paddle boat. Beautiful property.

Hidden Gem

A short drive outside of San Diego - a perfect find for a relaxing and adventurous stay-cation. The lake was beautiful - caught 7 Bass and paddled around for hours. The views are spectacular and the property is amazing! The casita was perfect - there was plenty of space, the bed was super comfy, the kitchen had all I needed and its all decorated super cute. Overall - very cozy, quiet and safe. I loved the wild turkeys roaming around. I went hiking about 15 min up the road to Sweetwater at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park - some places require a pass or parking fee so get that before you go. I am so glad I found this place and overall was AMAZING - Iris and Felix are awesome hosts! I found out they also have other rentals on the site - I may stay at next time I go! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Great getaway spot

Perfect little getaway. Everything is new and clean and extremely comfortable. Quiet, remote location is a great place to relax. Only drawback is that the ac unit in the kitchen doesnā€™t quite cool down the bedroom. But there is a strong overhead fan in the bedroom. Overall, we loved it.

Perfect get away

Our cabin was just perfect. It was clean and beautifully decorated. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Top 3 perks: The fishing, privacy and hospitality of the host's. With my husband being temporarily in a wheel chair, the host graciously offered to assist with our luggage, cooler and all! We cant thank you enough Mr. Felix! Your kindness will always be remembered. Cant wait to come back. Thank you Iris and Felix!

A wonderful stay!

I have stayed in about 15 rentals and this by far is one of my favorites! The unit was super clean and super cute! It had everything we needed and the property was absolutely beautiful! The air was so clean and I loved watching the squirrels. The bed was super comfy too!

Peaceful getaway

Wonderful cottage! It was exceptionally clean and quaint...loved all the furnishings and accessories. My husband and I enjoyed many rounds of tennis at the private court, with beautiful lake setting. We didn't fish this time, but plan to in the future. Helpful hint on directions...don't arrive after dark! It was really hard to find the right gate at night and without cell coverage in that area, couldn't contact the owner. Eventually found it and was completely delighted with it. We also didn't know it was a guest house with location obtained by walking along the main house. Was concerned about that at first, but the owners respected our privacy. Owner was also very quick to respond. Will stay here again for sure!
