Beautiful long house full of charm, located in the heart of a park of 15 hectares, with heated pool (May 1 to October 1). The house is surrounded by flowering courtyards, one equipped with a table for summer meals, and another with sun loungers for lazing around and aperitifs.


On the ground floor: A children's playroom, an office with fireplace, WC, a large kitchen table (for 8 guests), dining room (seating 14 guests), a large living room with fireplace.


On the 1st floor - 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms: master suite (180 cm bed) with bathroom (shower and bath) + WC, a bedroom with a double bed (180 cm bed) sharing a bathroom with a room with 2 single beds of 90cm (which can be joined to form a large bed of 180 cm) and a child's bed, a room with 2 single beds of 90cm (which can be joined to form a large bed of 180cm), a room with a bed of 140cm, WC, bathroom with WC, laundry (washing machine and dryer, steam generator).


Child equipment available: 1 cradle (120 cm), 2 cots (140 cm), 2 high chairs, changing mat, baby bath.


The heated swimming pool (from May 15th to September 30th) of 14m x 7m is entirely secure for children (closed walls). L'Orangerie serves as a pool house with changing room, shower, toilet, kitchen, summer living and dining area.

The linen (sheets and towels) is included in the price, but not swimming towels.

The house is located 10 minutes from Chalonnes sur Loire (nearest train station - 12 minutes by train to Angers), 35 minutes from Angers (Marcé airport) 40 minutes from Puy du Fou (voted best park of attraction of the world), 40 minutes from Saumur (Cadre Noir), 40 minutes from the Zoo of Doué-la-Fontaine, 45 minutes from the zoo of La Flèche, 1 hour from Nantes (airport), in the vineyards of the hills Layon (wine route). Golf courses nearby: Cholet (35 min), Champigné (40 min) and Angers (35 min). Down the Loire by canoe (25 minutes).

Fantastic Relaxing Stay

We all had a great time as three families with lots of kids. The house is even bigger and more beautiful than the photos suggest and the kids were thoroughly occupied by the pool and trampoline. The house is well equipped and the whole process was really easy and friendly. Thank

The property is better than it looks in the photos and suited our party of grandparents, parents and children perfectly with children's playroom and two sitting rooms. Perhaps the best part was the full sized swimming pool where given the fantastic weather, much time was spent. A great area with lots to do for all ages, a day spent at Puy du Fou, and the Chateau at Angers not to be missed. Lots of great memories

Amazing Week

Fantastic spacious house, lovely courtyard and fabulous pool all set in the grounds of a chateau. The host, Ghislain spoke very good English and was very helpful. The house was very peaceful and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, the large kitchen was well appointed and a joy to cook in. The weather was sunny and we spent many hours at the fabulous pool. We are a family of 7 and everybody had a great time. I can highly recommend this property.

Unique French Stay

If you are looking for a unique place to stay in the Loire Valley, this is the place for you! The property is a converted farm building – although five bedrooms, it is really big with lots of living space and lovely courtyards. There was loads of space for us (seven adults and two children). It is in the grounds of a beautiful Château, so every day we would walk past the Château to the swimming pool, which is in a beautiful walled garden area, next to a rustic summer house with everything you need. The pool is the biggest we’ve ever had on a self catering holiday, and really well maintained. The area was great for exploring – you can go kayaking on the Loire, or visit the castle in Angers, or the surrounding vineyards. We had a lovely day trip to Saumur, and can also recommend the park at Puy du Fou especially for the children! Ghislain was so helpful and accommodating, we loved our unique holiday. Thank you!!

Family holiday

We had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space for our 4 children and 6 adults. The swimming pool was amazing and very private with plenty of space inside and out for adults and children. The owner facilitated a chef for a couple of evenings which made our celebratory stay extra special. We cannot recommend La Jumelliere highly enough!

Nous avons passé un séjour familial merveilleux.

Située en pleine campagne, mais à moins de 6 km de 2 petites villes, cette grande maison est excessivement confortable et chaleureuse. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles. Piscine, balades autour de la propriété font parties des nombreux atouts qu'offre cet endroit calme et paisible. Nous vous le recommandons vivement.

Séjour La Faultriere

Nous avons passé un court mais excellent séjour à la Faultriere. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très accueillants. La propriété est vaste, très agréable et paisible. La longere est parfaite pour une retraite familiale avec enfants ou entre amis. Nous nous sommes sentis aussi bien que dans notre maison de famille!

We loved it :)

We were a party of 8, 3 x adults and 5 children. The propoerty was spacious and very well kitted out. Lots of rooms to be together or split out. The style was beautiful throughout. We all enjoyed lots of time by the pool (once we got used to a few minutes of a walk, no big deal) or trips to Puy de Fou, Angers, local chateaus etc. Plenty to do. Plenty of choice of shops nearby. Nice restaurants also.

Excellent WE en Anjou !

Avec 9 amis, nous avons pu profiter de la maison de Ghislain et passer un excellent WE. Ghislain et sa famille font tout pour qu'on se sente bien chez eux. Nous avons pu profiter des nombreuses pièces de la maison, ainsi que de son très agréable extérieur (la piscine chauffée est tout simplement magnifique) ! Je ne peux que recommander ce lieu pour passer quelques jours au calme :) Encore merci Ghislain, Flavie et ses amis.

Superbe séjour dans très belle demeure angevine

Nous étions 5 couples d’amis et avons passé 4 superbes journées dans cette confortable longère joliment décorée et très bien équipée. Véritable communion avec la nature dans un très grand parc arboré autour du château . Très belle piscine chauffée. A recommander sans réserve !

Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.

The house is very spacious and very well equipped. There is plenty of outside space to explore and the beautiful chateau is a particular highlight. The pool is a fabulous addition and kept the kids entertained even though it is a short distance from the house. There are a couple of lovely seating/eating areas that we made use of. A couple of suggestions: - the shower in the main bathroom needs some maintenance - some information in English regarding market days, places to visit and where to put rubbish/recycling would be helpful. However, the owners were very helpful and friendly and more than happy to answer any questions. All in all, a lovely holiday - we would definitely return.

Fabulous !!

What a calm and relaxing place to stay! Upon our arrival we were greeted with a lovely basket of fresh vegetables from the garden. The house has everything you wish for, a very functional open plan kitchen, two comfortable, cosy living rooms, five spacious bedrooms and the game room is just what you wish for young kids. Barbecue in the beautiful courtyard is a must. The private grounds are great for walking, running or cycling. With a group of 10, the house is so big it was a pleasure to spend time together without feeling on top of each other. The pool is amazing and the orangeraie's a great bonus. We'd like to thank our lovely host Ghislain and Marie Laetitia de la Grandière for their warm welcome. We already miss "La Faultrière" and hope to go back soon. "Calme, luxe et volupté...."

Remercions nos hôtes pour la qualité des lieux et leur amabilité. Le gîte baigne au milieu des senteurs du jardin et des chants d’oiseaux. Chaque pièce du RdC invite aussi bien à tous se rassembler ou à trouver intimité en petits groupes. A noter le confort apporté en cuisine par la présence de 2 lave-vaisselle et le matériel de cuisine en grande quantité!. A l’étage les chambres sont généreuses par les volumes, l’équipement, la literie. A l’extérieur les cours permettent de savourer la douceur de l’air et profiter du soleil comme de l’ombre, ou encore profiter du BBQ de nuit à la lumière des éclairages électriques ou bougies. A l’écart, la piscine -d’une eau exceptionnellement claire et inodore- et ses abords nous ont comblé par un décor absolument paisible et rafraîchissant. Côté logistique, toutes les commodités sont accessibles en quelques minutes en voiture. Voilà pour quelques impressions de nos jours passés –trop vite- à La Faultrière et qui nous ont donné envie d’y revenir.

Superbe location, grands espaces, très plaisant !

Excellent accueil lors de notre arrivée, nous avions loué cette grande maison (juste à côté d'un très joli château) pour 10 adultes, et 6 enfants ! Grande piscine très agréable, superbe endroit où il est très plaisant de se promener. La salle de jeu a eu un succès fou auprès des enfants. Encore merci aux propriétaires, qui nous ont proposer de nous prêter les lits et chaises bébé. La maison est spacieuse, les chambres sont grandes, la cuisine est très opérationnelle, 2 frigos pour stocker les grosses courses, barbecue, machine à glaçon, ... Tout est là pour un super séjour !

A beautiful place for a holiday!

The property is even better than the photographs suggest as it is so much larger than you imagine, which means everyone could have their own space when needed! The hosts were friendly and helpful and very apologetic when the internet didn't work for a few days. The pool is a short walk from the house but has it's own little kitchen, so you don't have to go back to the house when you want a drink. The table outside the kitchen window meant eating outside was easy and then there was another enclosed courtyard which was ideal to relax in and read a book or have a drink in the evening. Nearby there is a river where you can hire bicycles and cycle along the river bank and we enjoyed a boat ride with binoculars supplied so you can watch the wildlife.We didn't get to the theme park as you need to book well in advance (the evening show is part of the ticket...we thought we would be able to book the day separately from the evening show but that is not the case.) We didn't have a single complaint about this holiday home and would highly recommend it!

Perfect verblijf op een zeer bijzondere locatie

Je verblijft in de tot woonhuis verbouwde stallen van kasteel La Faultriere (op honderd meter van de woning). Alles is prima ingericht, tot en met de grote terrassen. Het zwembad met orangerie is mooi, schoon en groot, zij het dat het 200 meter van de woning ligt. Wie van koken houdt kan uitstekend uit de voeten hier. Twee vaatwassers zijn handig bij een volledige bezetting. Wifi is voldoende, met beperkt bereik (mediakamer en directe omgeving). Soms merk je dat het huis kleine onvolkomenheden heeft, maar je bent op vakantie. In de buurt vind je enkele prima wijnboeren en Savennieres is slechts 20 autominuten. In La Jumelliere is niets te doen, supermarkten op 6 kilometer -Leclerc, Super-U. Restaurants zijn dun gezaaid hier. Bakker in La Jumeliere of La Boulangerie in Chemille (iets voorbij Leclerc). Fietsen is goed te doen, ook met e-bikes. Eigenaar Ghislain de la Grandiere en zijn dochter Phillipine zijn leuke en attente mensen die met recht trots zijn op hun (vakantie-)woning met vele authentieke elementen. De foto's geven slechts een fractie weer van de schoonheid van het huis, het interieur, de terrassen en de directe omgeving. Kortom: sterk aanbevolen.

UN VRAI SEJOUR DETENTE DANS UN LIEU IDEAL

De retour de notre court séjour à la Jumellière, nous vous confirmons tout le plaisir que nous avons eu à profiter, en famille, de votre belle demeure et de son agréable environnement. Cette grande longère, aménagée et décorée avec goût et simplicité, est TRES PROPRE et TRES BIEN EQUIPEE pour un séjour avec enfants et petits-enfants, rien n'y manque !... Le descriptif et les photos du site correspondent tout à fait à la réalité !... Les beaux espaces intérieurs et les cours extérieures sécurisées, sans oublier la piscine, le tout allié à un temps magnifique, ont ravi petits et grands. Ce fut pour nous tous un long week-end de détente et de complicité familiale dans un décor confortable et chaleureux que nous avons unanimement apprécié.
