Staycation

We had a great time staying at the Red Anchor. It was charming, clean, and cozy. The location was great, close to Red Dog, and not far from downtown Ottawa. Heritage Harbor was the perfect getaway for our family.

Great stay

Enjoyed our stay liked the cottage and how it's decorated. The location is perfect close by to all amenities. Liked the dock layed on it and foated up and down. Did not get to the restaurant but it was packed every night and it was because of pandemic we did not venture in. Live band played in marina could hear it on hill across didn't have to go to the bar to enjoy.

Overall a good experience.

Overall a good experience. I jus wish the sheets would have been cleaner in the guest bedroom. There is just something about stained sheets when your staying in someone elseā€™s bed that makes you a little uncomfortable. Very friendly and made plans for our late arrival

Great location and house. River views and close to everything at resort. Rented pontoon boat for half day. Crew very helpful and boat was great! Red Dog restaurant very understaffed. Went for lunch and left after 20 minutes when no server came to our table. Only suggestion for the house would be to install ceiling fans in LR and bedrooms

This is a beautiful area with a marina. There's lots to do in the area and it's a nice place to just hang out.

Beautiful area. Heritage Harbor was an excellent place to relax after a fun day of hiking in some beautiful canyons. I did not have any direct or phone contact with any team members. All communication re: arrival and closing up was completed in written instructions via email or text.

Great family getaway

Enjoyed a spring break getaway not far from Chicago. Tidy & comfortable house on the Illinois River close to Starved Rock. Looking forward to coming back in the summer for boating, swimming, etc.
