This listing is part of a luxurious 5,100-square-foot home that is among the “cabins” collection in the prestigious gated community of River Rim Ranch in Tetonia, Idaho. This residence is being offered with the following rental options:

-The FULL RESIDENCE, which includes the 3-bedroom main house, plus an elegantly furnished private 1-bedroom apartment that connects to the main house. Full Residence is VRBO listing 1822522.

-The MAIN HOUSE only, which is the larger 3-bedroom portion of the property. This rental option does not allow access to the private apartment. Main House is VRBO listing 1910138.

-The TETON LOFT, which, as the connecting private apartment, is a more intimate portion of the property. This rental option does not allow access to the Main House. Teton Loft is VRBO listing 1919964. Note that access to the loft apartment involves climbing a flight of stairs with handrail. No elevator available.

Beautiful one bedroom loft apartment in gated community. Separate unit from larger residence with many amenities. Please note the loft apt is one flight of stairs above ground level. Handrail is present but no elevator. Bedroom includes king size bed with gorgeous Teton Mountain views. Full luxury bathroom with walk in closet. Living room with pull out couch for 2 additional sleeping spots. Fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher for meal preparation if desired. Please note refrigerator is only half size and has no ice maker. Full amenities including TV, internet and washer/dryer. Riverfront for fishing, tubing and hiking. Approximately 30 minutes to ski slopes (Grand Targhee) and only one hour to Jackson Hole for more skiing, shopping, dining and exploring. Approximately one hour to Grand Teton and 90 mins to Yellowstone National Parks. Local towns within 15 -30 minutes for eating, shopping and entertainment. Great venue for smaller families/ groups. Weekly rates available. Please note that neighborhood club house is not available for guest use per HOA rules.

Quiet and Serene

We knew from the pictures that we would love this property, but we were blown away at the surrounding land and property. The views were picture worthy and we enjoyed the quiet evenings upon our return after a long day of adventure.

We stayed in the loft apartment which was luxurious and well appointed. It was spotlessly clean and had amazing views of the Tetons, a small river, aspen trees that danced in the wind along the house and an Idaho potato field. It was close to the small towns of Tetonia and Driggs- within 15 minutes which was convenient for shopping, live backyard music in the backyard of Tetonia Bar and a delightful farmer’s market. The only drawbacks were that it was a long 20 stairs to get to the luxury loft and there wasn’t a really good place for the loft renters to sit and enjoy the views. (The larger house had a beautiful porch.) Robert was a great host who was easy to communicate with and gave us ideas for walking and offered to let us use the porch as he didn’t have renters coming while we were there. I LOVED this property and area! Money well spent!

Clean, comfortable accommodation

20 steps to climb up to apartment... I injured my knee a few weeks ago and was alittle difficult climbing steps too often... but once up there everything was ok. Would have been nice to have a full size refrigerator, and did not have a ice maker. Shower water was just lukewarm...

I am sorry to hear about this guest's knee injury and had she contacted me in advance I would have been happy to cancel the reservation for her without penalty. The apt is listed as a loft apt and one of the first website pictures is the flight of stairs one has to navigate to reach the living quarters. Unfortunately, there is no elevator. The apt description lists the refrigerator as half size without ice maker. I am checking into a portable ice maker. This was the first I heard about the luke warm water and I quickly contacted a plumber who has already come and installed a new circulator pump. I apologize again for any inconvenience to the guest.

Rustic luxury

While it would have been nice to have a shorter drive to the parks, this property was absolutely luxurious. We rented the loft; sumptuous furnishings, lighting, and artwork, and a giant uber-comfortable bed with a view of the Grand Tetons in the distance through the huge windows. There's a lovely little trail nearby. The property is pastoral, and the stars on a clear night are stunning! Bob was wonderfully responsive and accessible, and the value is outstanding!

River Rim Ranch

The loft was very impressive and it overlooks the Teton River with the Tetons in the background. Everything was state of art and well maintained. It is remote and about an equal distance to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. It is about 1 1/2 to either. There are shops and a great grocery store about a half hour away in Driggs. The only minor complaint is the lack of a freezer. It would be nice if there was an orientation sheet explaining the tv, local attractions and restaurants along with how to access the river. These are just some suggestions but it is a wonderful place with lots of things to explore all around.

Beautiful

Communication with the owner was great, as was the checking process. The property is lovely! Remote, but an easy drive to Driggs, where there’s a great grocery store called Broulims. We used this as home base to explore Yellowstone, Teton National Park and Jackson Hole. The loft was great — lives a lot larger than it’s 600 sq. feet. The bed was super comfortable and the smart TV was good. We played and worked and as professional podcasters (video and audio) the high speed internet was crucial.

Charming and Cozy Apartment

This was a gorgeous one bedroom property that we used as a home base for 3 nights of our 8-night vacation! We felt very comfortable and cozy there and everything was spotless. The views from the bathroom and kitchen windows are spectacular...it would have been awesome to have a balcony to sip tea on and watch the sunsets/listen to the rain, but we didn't have much time for that anyway. It's a pretty remote location, but we didn't mind driving about an hour or so away to find adventures in beautiful forests and state parks! It's not like we had traffic to deal with...just wide open beautiful country roads. I highly recommend going to Mesa Falls...it's considered a mini Niagra Falls and is absolutely spectacular. It was the perfect outing for a rainy day (bring a raincoat) because you park and it's only a short walk to the falls. Also, stop in at the visitor's center and grab a granola bar and a souvenir and enjoy chatting with the nice park rangers. Don't forget to bring $5 cash for parking. I also recommend horseback riding in Harriman State Park. It's a gorgeous ride around Silver Lake. We ended up getting soaked during a surprise downpour and were kicking ourselves for not better preparing for rainy weather. I'm glad we decided to wear our raincoats, but definitely should have worn waterproof pants as well. Oh well! Live and learn. What do you expect from Southern Californians? ;-) Big Springs is also a lovely outing. There's a delicious Mexican restaurant near there where you eat on the patio overlooking Snake River (right off the main highway). There's also a yummy ice cream and pizza place next to the river as well. After all these adventures you will love coming "home" to this charming and modern apartment to shower, rest your bones, have a bite to eat, watch some Netflix, and slip off to dreamland while thinking about all the beauty you saw in the Gem State!

Great loft with views!

Our Tetonia stay

The property was gorgeous as was the interior design. Only negative comments could e that we didn’t meet the woman personally that managed the property. As a result it was necessary to place a number of calls and text messages asking questions about the entry code panel, the tv, which required a fob and was raised into place by machinery, as well as a broken window blind. Bottom line is that the property and area was beautiful but communication was somewhat lacking.

Great stay for a Yellowstone / Teton vacation....

enjoyed out time at the property. Very clean and well appointed. Jen was amazing and helped us when we had an issue. She went out 1000% to fix our issue and we were happy and only wished we reserved for a longer period of time!

Country comfort

Accurate listing and proximity to NSP. Location is remote and just off the highway, so be very aware of traffic around you. Very comfortable loft for a small group. The property team was very responsive to any questions/ requests we had.

Good Spot but Expect Limited Views

My fiancé and I stayed here when visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The distances described are pretty actuate, so prepare for some long drives. The place itself was very clean and nice and the pictures of the interior are very accurate. As this is an apartment above a garage (connected to the main house), it seems the previous renters must have rented both units, and moved almost all plates and cups down to the main unit. Luckily, the renters in the main unit (while we were there) were friendly and gave us back a couple of plates to eat on. Not a great experience arriving hungry with nothing to eat on though. The views from the loft apartment were nice, but not the astonishing ones of the Tetons. Those are from the back porch of the main unit, which you do not have access to with the loft rental. If you walked out into the grass and down the hill a bit you could see them, but no ability to sit and relax. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
