Enjoy comfort in this unique log structure built with ponderosa pine from Montana. Relax to the sounds of the Gallatin River while resting in your log bed from an old Montana ranch. Our pricing varies based on group size, adjusting $20 per additional person per night beyond the base rate.

Great location with plenty of acreage, yard, river walks, and fishing on-site. During spring runoff in May or early June, fishing may be limited, and trails might flood.

Managed by Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals, Lucky Dog Lodge is a cost-effective alternative to full-service lodges. Enjoy the privacy and space we offer, with garden views from the upper decks. The owner lives nearby, with no houses between the lodge and river.

The lodge features a third-floor balcony and massive logs, highlighting Rocky Mountain beauty. The open design and high ceilings with fir tongue-and-groove ceiling and natural light promote a spacious feel. Our 8KW solar array helps keep it green!

Radiant heating and thick log walls maintain year-round comfort. Wood decks from the second and third floors showcase views of the Gallatin River. Relax in log beds from an old ranch or enjoy the balcony hot tub at sunset.

The main floor includes a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, perfect for family games or meetings.

Upstairs, there are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms for at least 15 guests with various sleeping arrangements including queen beds and twins. The space can accommodate 20, though associates may not want to share beds.

Conveniently located 20 minutes from Bozeman Airport and 12 minutes from Montana State University, Bozeman Hot Springs is a short walk away. The small town of Four Corners is 3 minutes away for food and supplies.

Golfing, hiking, rafting, and skiing are within a half-hour drive, and Yellowstone National Park is 1.5 hours south.

Great for family reunion

The structure is amazing -- the massive logs used in construction and the skill in creating this four story (including basement), 6-bedroom blew us away. The owners and managers are terrific. The grounds large and the walk to the beautiful river is short. And the first floor living space -- great room and kitchen -- are terrific. We're all hoping for a repeat engagement.....bob

A Wonderful Reunion

Everyone loved the Lucky Dog Lodge . We had several gatherings in the back and long dinner conversations in the family room . The bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated guests coming and going to different activities . The location in the neighborhood provided a warm atmosphere and there was easy access to town or roads to hiking and fishing adventures . Property owners amazing people living nearby .

Spectacular time had by all! ā€œBest vacation ever!ā€ Was quoted by many in our group, especially the 20 something kids. Everyone was impressed by the structure of the house and big log beams, the three floors allowed for our three families to spread out and give everyone space including the multiple bathrooms, with almost 20 people that was a main reason I booked the house, and it just looked Montana cool. Stayed for five nights, one day at Big Sky where the drive was stunning so the time to get there was enjoyable; then spent two days at Bridger which was great including the multiple places to sit outside and grab food/beers and enjoy the skiers coming down. Hit one day at Yellowstone and saw wildlife galore, lots of pics to be had. It was a full stay of just enjoying skiing and the time together as a large group in the house: sat in multiple groups around the house enjoying time together at the table talking, sitting by the fireplace, singing and dancing throughout the evenings. Highly recommended especially for large groups. Sleeping pads provided extra space for friends who popped in for a night to tag along for the morning ski trips: one day we did manage to get the full house out and on the way to ski by 830 am: plenty is space for all ski gear as well right at the front door so made for easy exodus for the large groups of skis/bags. Thank you to Paul for providing a great ski vacation boding moment for our three families! All will remember forever.

The cabin was even better that advertised, had plenty of space for all 16 of us, and the owners were very responsive. I would gladly stay here again!

Incredible spot for family get-togethers.

This lodge is a fantastic spot to bring your outdoorsy relatives. Even though the weather during our stay was very cold, it was always warm back at the lodge. Itā€™s incredibly spacious and clean, and the proximity to the hot springs is a huge plus! We would absolutely stay here when we visit again.

Fantastic property for large ski group

Our group of 7 avid skiers loved Luck Dog as our home base for 4 terrific days of skiing in Big Sky. The log cabin is spacious, clean, and well appointed for a large ski group. Staying in Bozeman is a far more economical option than Big Sky, and the 1 hour drive to Big Sky is easy and beautiful through the Gallatin River valley. Property management is fast to respond and very thorough.

Great Place!

Very clean, large space, instructions were clear from the owner. He even came out to help us when we had an issue with the lock which was resolved very quickly. Would stay there again.

Wedding weekend in Bozeman

Family Reunion

We really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Lucky Dog log home! It was well supplied with all the essentials and a lot of extras! The house was in a great location and the hot tub was a hit for our teenagers! Our family all expressed how it was the most well stocked place we have experienced to date.

Family vacay was an absolute success

My family and I gathered to celebrate my nephewā€™s graduation from MSU. We had an absolute blast. The large accommodations allowed for many family fun activities. The location is absolutely perfect. Perfect for our large group!

This is an amazing property! The house is huge and has so much character, with plenty of large bedrooms for our family and friends. Kitchen has everything we needed, with a wonderful rustic dining table that accommodated our large group! LOTS of bathrooms so no waiting :-) Big yard, nice back deck, short walk to the river. We loved it and would definitely recommend it!

great place to celebrate graduation

Lucky Dog Lodge was a fantastic choice for us to stay while we celebrated our son's graduation from MSU. There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was great for making big breakfasts. The only issue we had was there were no bedrooms on the first floor although we did know about this ahead of time.

Wedding

Great place for a family reunion

Driving through the neighborhood I would not have expected this place to be so wonderful, but donā€™t let that fool you! The house and property are wonderful. Very roomy and fits 20 people comfortably, although beds for only 16. The little path down to the river was such a surprise! Great for fishing and swimming, or just relaxing! Such a beautiful view! We had such a great family reunion in this house!

Perfect place for extended family vacation

Well, our tails were sure wagginā€™ after an extended-family stay at Lucky Dog Lodge. Ours was kind of a pack of dogs ā€” siblings, spouses, grown-up ā€˜kidsā€™ ā€” and the Lucky Dog Lodge accommodated all quite nicely. We made great use of the kitchen and long dining-table for family-style dinners and sandwich assembly for slope fare. The in-floor heat and gas stove kept us plenty warm and cozy, even in cold winter conditions. We loved that it was close to ski slopes, downtown, and hot springs. We'll be back!

Forced family fun for 50 th wedding anniversary

Accommodations worked out well for 8 adults and 6 children. Great eating and living space. Grandkids enjoyed the Gallatin behind the house. Weird bathroom set up but there were 5 showers. Location was great getting to Bozeman, Big Sky and Yellowstone. Surrounding neighborhood and gravel roads arenā€™t the greatest. Overall really enjoyed house.

Fantastic ski trip at the River Bend Cabin

The cabin was very well equipped and appointed and extremely comfortable for the six of us. The location of the cabin is perfectly situated between the two ski areas and we enjoyed ski ing at both. I really appreciated that Paul was able to change our reservation at the last minute due to a health problem causing half of our original group to drop out of the trip. I would highly recommend this cabin for a very comfortable stay in the Bozman area and hope to return soon. Thank you.

Graduation 2024

We had an amazing experience! This property was perfect for our large family to celebrate MSU graduation. The outdoor amenities were perfect and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly imagine needing! The beds were comfy the number of bedrooms was awesome! The bathroom situation on the second floor was a little surprising, but it worked out fine once we got it figured out. Paul was very responsive in communication and great to work with!
