Serene and homey

We had a wonderful family vacation with the lake lapping outside our kitchen, dining room and living room. Swimming off the dock was a hit. And catching a large catfish was the cherry on top.

Need TLC

This house is very nice but needs a lot of tender loving care. The day we arrived and was checking out the house we heard a loud breaking of glass. Finally found that the light cover in garage fell and broke. We had a problem with ants and roaches on the porches. Outside of house was full of spider webs and the cushions on the outside furniture was dirty. The older adults were not able to swim because the only way into water was off the dock and for the ones that canā€™t swim that wouldnā€™t work. The last night there we had a leak in the kitchen ceiling that was coming from upstairs shower. This could be a beautiful place if it had a good pressure washing. The view of the lake is awesome and the location is wonderful. I just think the house is older and needs some updating. Donā€™t think I would stay here again.

Lake Life

If your looking for privacy and peaceful quiet, this is the place. Beautiful lake view to watch boats and jet skiers. Very secluded from shopping, and restaurants. Must travel to do so.

Wonderful stay at the lake!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. The owners were lovely, communicating very timely, and had everything we needed to fully enjoy the lake. We had a pontoon and two jet skis at the dock for the week and were still comfortably able to enjoy floating time on the water, latter side. Most our early mornings and evenings were spent in the screen enclosure where we were able to relax to the sound and view of the water without buggy interruption. The interior was spacious enough for the teens to escape us when they wanted, but also roomy enough for all of us to gather around the table to play cards. Will definitely stay again!

Fun week on Lake Murray

House was exactly as described. Smooth check in and we had no issues while we were there. House was clean and everyone commented on the comfortable beds. Great view of the lake and the lake was great for swimming. We rented a boat locally and enjoyed tubing and stopping for lunch on the boat at one of the local restaurants.

Relaxing family vacation!

Fantastic lake view from every room, especially the large screened porch. Well appointed kitchen has every convenience. Comfortable beds, lots of large gathering spaces, updated bathrooms, big newer TVs in all rooms, strong internet, great swimming/fishing dock. All ages had a great visit.

Relaxing getaway On the lake. The house was very clean and organized and prepared for our family. The kids could either walk into the water and swim or enjoyed jumping off the dock. Anytime I messaged the property owner he was quick to answer or give me a call. This was our second stay at his home.

Everything was perfect for our family getaway

This home on Lake Murray had lots of space and everything one would need for a great vacation. A great screened in porch overlooking the lake which we spent lots of time in- had a wonderful swing and lots of space to sit, along with a table. Also, an outside deck which had both a grill and a Blackstone flat grill, with spatulas for cooking. We cooked many meals especially breakfast on the Blackstone and loved it so much we are thinking of getting one. The dock looked new, the ladder to swim and everything was in good working order. We swam everyday. The bedrooms were specious and the beds were super comfortable. The bathrooms are well taken care of, and the master bedroom even has a shower and large soaker/jacuzzi tub. Plenty of towels were furnished. The kitchen had everything we would need - pots/pans, cookie trays, small blender for smoothies, toaster, 2 coffee pots - (bring coffee and coffee pods if you want both), lots of utensils. There were lots of supplies such as garbage bags, seasonings, and it was helpful that other guests have left things like sugar, salad dressings, ketchup in fridge, etc. It was on a quiet street. The only drawback was that restaurants on the lake were either open just on the weekends or the restaurants that were open were about a 30 minutes boat ride away. We didn't see any entertainment at any of the restaurants, and we were hoping for that. I rate this property a 5 out of 5.

Wonderful!

The home is beautiful and the property was great. I loved the screened in porch. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of space. I definitely would recommend renting this property and am thinking of coming back with my family again. Owner is a very nice man to deal with and talk to.

Wonderful week on the lake!

We had a great week and the owners were wonderful and easy to communicate with! It is a beautiful lot right on the lake. We loved relaxing on the screened porch. It is a great home for kids of all ages as there is a huge bunk room upstairs. Great lake retreat!

A Great Getaway

We really enjoyed our week at this lovely property. The house had everything you need for a relaxing get away. Located at a more private end of the lake - you can have the feeling youā€™re off the grid while being close enough to everything if you need it. Really enjoyed our time.

Time off well deserved !!!

My family and I decided last minute to take a week off and go to a lake. We were looking for something off of Jocasse or Keowee. We were unable to find a house on those lakes and my daughter came across this property. I sure am glad that she found this little gem. We booked our dates and received a call from the landlord almost immediately. We had posted that we wanted our stay from Mon-Mon. He asked if Sat-Sat would be ok as that is what they normally book, we stated no ,please let us know if we need to cancel because we had already placed the deposit. The landlord came back within minutes and stated that he would honor our request. That was a huge plus for us. From that moment on every conversation that we had with the landlord was beyond professional and friendly. The house upon arrival was very quaint. Once we got in we could not believe how clean and well presentable the inside was. My kids were so excited having a lake view and a dock to fish and swim off of. I was able to dock my boat for the entire week and not have to worry about multiple fees for loading and unloading. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything we were going to need and use. The blackstone grill was a hit "gotta get one". the landlord checked on us the day we arrived to make sure that we got in and everything was to our liking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back next year or earlier. The day we left which was Sunday evening we received a call from the landlord stating that we could stay through Monday evening as the cleaning people weren't going to make it til Tuesday. We unfortunately had to leave on Sunday evening. But, this goes to show you how much this landlord understands customer service. If you are looking for a place to stay on Lake Murray with a beautiful scenario and a great screened in porch and lake access. This is the place to stay. Fabulous Find for Family Vacation

My parents, two adult siblings, spouses, and two year old niece all converged on this property for our first family gathering of the year after quarantining for the past 4 months. The manager was very responsive to my pre-trip concerns regarding swimming near the house, the wildlife in the lake, and cleaning in between guests. We arrived and found that the photos did not do this home justice. The home is clean, beautifully decorated, large enough to allow for a big group and not feel claustrophobic. The managers are thoughtful, informing us of potential issues, and responsive when minor issues cropped up. The swim ladder popped off the dock on our second day and they provided us the use of a lily pad until it was repaired, which repair was made quickly. We spent the week swimming in the warm welcoming waters of Lake Murray and fishing right off the dock. We highly enjoyed renting a pontoon for tubing and exploring the vast expanse of the lake as well as a double decker pontoon for a fun filled day sliding into the water just off the dock. It was the best vacation my siblings, our spouses and I have had as adults and we look forward to returning!

Relaxing summer getaway

My husband & I needed a little getaway from being stuck in our home for 4 months of quarantine & we are so glad we found this listing. The house was larger than we expected & had beautiful lake views on 3 sides. Across the lake was undeveloped land that was just gorgeous. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened in porch & swimming in the lake. The owner was incredibly responsive & offered to modify the location of the ladder on his dock so we could rent a boat. He was so pleasant & accommodating - I canā€™t say enough nice things about him & his rental property.
