The Hideaway is a clean, cozy and spacious basement apartment; located in the heart of SE Portland. An easy walk to SE Division Street provides great coffee, groceries, restaurants, brewpubs, boutique retail, theaters, parks, public transit and more. With its convenient location, thoughtful amenities, and inviting atmosphere, this vacation home is the perfect base to experience the best of this incredible city. The location is urban & peaceful.

Unwind in the comfortable living room, where you can enjoy the smart TV and a selection of games and books. The kitchenette comes with microwave, toaster, refrigerator, and hot water kettle and is stocked with coffee and tea to get your first morning in the apartment started off right. The bathroom is stocked with towels and soap. The space has it's own dedicated air conditioning and heating to ensure your comfort.

Street parking is ample. This is a strictly non-smoking property. LGBTQIA friendly. All good people are welcome! Taller guests should be aware that the ceiling is 6 feet 8 inches.

As I said to the owner, I was unaware that this was a basement unit. The bathroom was tiny as was the sink. However, I can see the work that was put into remodeling this basement and they did a nice job. The living space with smart TV was particularly nice for my family. The bedroom was comfortable. Though, when we arrived the heat did not work. I was blamed for not knowing how to work it. I do not appreciate that.

This was a very pleasant stay. The location was perfect for getting around Portland. It is a very quaint hidden gem, but very accessible and within minutes to downtown Portland. Communication with Nancy was easy and she was very accommodating. Everything we needed was available. Very cute, clean, and cozy. I would highly recommend.

My nieces (early 40ā€™s) were delighted with the accommodations and neighborhood. Landscaping is lovely. Everything was so easy and they had all they needed.

A quiet retreat from the hustle & bustle of Portland

This spot was indeed a quiet, cozy hideaway steps away from coffee shops & restaurants - and right by the 10 stop which gets you straight to Reed College (if like me, youā€™re visiting PDX to attend your XXth year reunion at Reed!). Nancyā€™s instructions were very clear. I had no issues with the place but the couple of times we touched bases for checking in & checking out she was very responsive. I will be looking for this place again the next time I visit Portland 3

Portland Stay

The location of this property was perfect for my parents and I when we visited Portland. It was a 5-minute drive to my sisterā€™s from there. I think this property is great for 2 people. A third person with 1 bathroom and a sleeper sofa in the main living area make it a bit crowded, but it worked out ok. Everything was neat as a pin and clean. Nancy was a very attentive host and answered all our questions right away. I would definitely recommend this host and hope to stay again next time Iā€™m in Portland.

Great neighborhood

Basement unit with low ceilings was a bit of a challenge for my traveling companion who is 6'-9" but he managed and we had a great stay.

Amazing and Accommodating

I canā€™t say enough about how great the neighborhood was, how roomy the space was, or how friendly the host was. We make frequent trips to Portland, and the Division Hideaway will be our new home away from home whenever it's available.

Charming Portland neighborhood stay

This is a chic and thoughtfully remodeled lower level apartment in a quiet and traditional neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable. The host was attentive and responsive. This location is highly walkable to cafes and restaurants. I would highly recommend this listing.

Delightful stay!

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely apartment! The photos are absolutely accurate. It is spacious, well-appointed and nicely decorated. And it is soooo clean! I have become hesitant to stay in basement apartments on VRBO due to noise from above. In other apartments, we have experienced late-night or even middle of the night noise that is so bad we haven't been able to sleep. I didn't see a single review where this was mentioned for this apartment so we took a chance. I'm so glad we did. There was no noise during the night. We were so grateful and this allowed us to truly enjoy the weekend. The neighborhood is delightful, we had an amazing breakfast and even enjoyed a movie down the street. Parking is easy and the neighborhood feels safe. Also, comfy bed and bedding, a huge plus. Thank you, Nancy, for the easy and quick communication. We hope to come back and stay again!
