Amboise, lovely air-conditioned house in the heart of the vineyards,

Welcome to our pleasant, fully-equipped, air-conditioned home, nestled in the heart of the Touraine vineyards. Ideally located just a few kilometers from Tours and on the outskirts of Amboise, our house is the perfect base from which to discover this magnificent region. The Loire à Vélo cycle path passes right by our garden, giving you direct access to splendid walks.

Relax on the wooden terrace, admire the scenery and enjoy a local cru after a day of activities. On your arrival, beds will be made, and you'll be provided with all linen and a basic grocery kit including coffee, household products, paper towels and toilet paper.

Great Facilities

Enjoyable short stay at this property. Comfortable and very convenient for Amboise, Tours and some of the chateaux of the Loire. Worth visiting Amboise, it is very close by and has many restaurants.

Lovely property right outside of Amboise. Nice location for visiting Amboise and many of the beautiful châteaux. We were very comfortable in this little gatehouse as it was clean and roomy and had modern appliances. Our host (owner) was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and how to operate the washer/dryer. He was so kind to explain the operation of his truffle farm. A great stay for us!!

We had a wonderful stay, relaxing at a central location for sightseeing and cycling. The area was beautiful and quiet and our host even gave us a demonstration of his business of truffling, which was so interesting and a recommendation for wine tasting, which was so good. Wish we had a longer stay, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

We had a lovely stay! Location of the house is very good, Amboise, supermarket and restaurants are nearby. A very beautiful winery and degustation 5 minute walk away. Host and hostess are very friendly and helpful, do ask for the truffle tour, amazing! The house is very nice, perfect for two and airconditioning when it gets too hot. It is set in the vineyards and very quiet and calm! We would love to return!

A gem in chateaux country

This cottage is perfect for 2 people. Very clean with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen and a nice outdoor space. It is on the grounds of the wonderful owners 16th century home. Convenient to Amboise shopping and restaurants. We would most definitely stay there again.

Quiet relaxation

Beautiful Country Cottage

We loved our stay at this cute cottage just a few minutes drive outside of Amboise. It is perfectly located for castle sightseeing, away from the busy city but easily accessible. Our hosts were wonderful and informative. The property is as described in the listing and in excellent condition. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect spot for cycling!

A cosy, well equipped gite in the middle of the vineyards of the beautiful Loire valley. A warm welcome by Elodie who is a kind and helpfull owner. The bed is one of the best we ever had in a holiday home! The bathroom is a bit small, but adequate. The wheater was a bit chill during our week, so we enjoyed the fireplace every evening.

Perfect for two

Perfect for two, this newly renovated gatehouse is stylishly decorated, well-equipped and comfortable. An excellent location, just ten minutes from Amboise and within easy reach of many Loire chateaux. The hosts were welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive.

Short wine tasting trip

Wonderful place to stay among the vines just outside a small village. Very clean, comfortable and super quiet. Running trail nearby was a big bonus. Centrally located between Amboise and Tours. Really friendly and responsive host. Highly recommend!

Beautiful setting

Set in a beautul setting, it was very quiet and relaxing, yet close to major areas like Amboise and Tours. Great place to wine taste Vouvray or explore chateaux. Many good restaurants less than 15 minutes away. The owners speak English, live on the property and are very helpful. Deb and Bob USA

An Absolute Joy!

We had a wonderful stay at Gite de Cray! Very quiet and lovely. Our hosts, Eloise and Hughes were warm and welcoming, even greeting us with a lovely bottle of wine. The cottage is bright and open, with a deck to relax and soak in the nature that surrounds you.At first we thought the bed would be too firm, but it was the most comfortable ever! We hope to buy this mattress for our home. The cottage is out in the country, but just a very short distance from Amboise and Tours. We would highly recommend!

Peaceful and perfect

The stay was everything we needed. Quiet and tranquil. The owners were very helpful and despite living at the end of the drive they were never intrusive. You are far enough from the tourism hot spots to enjoy bars and beers, easy dining, but also retreat to a little slice of heaven. We spent the week cycling along the excellent routes through beautiful villages and vines, along rivers and experiencing nature at first hand. If castles are your thing you will be spoiled for choice.We would return in a heartbeat and didn’t want to leave.

Quiet comfortable gite

Very rural location. Gite is a gatehouse at the entrance to the driveway to the owner's residence 100m down a tree-lined driveway. Property secure wirh automatic gates. Spacious clean accommodation though ensuite bathroom us not large. Patio has sun from late morning until sunset. Aircon, dishwasher and washing machine made visit a delight! Would stay again.
