Location was central to so much in Kihei, the view was amazing, sunsets right from the patio.

Had everything we needed for the beach including lots of towels. Spacious. Quiet building complex. Kitchen was perfect for cooking in (could use some new fry pans). Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!!

Upon arrival found bird poop on kitchen sink, dead cockroaches all around condo, dirty sheets, dirty cups , glasses and all dinnerware, men’s underwear on the lanai, greasy silverware and no information on WiFi or pool code. Had to borrow dishwasher soap from a relative. Eased everything and wiped down cupboards so we felt comfortable staying there. Two washcloths in the whole place. Broken down beach chairs, filthy lanai. Don’t rent this place. Owner apparently doesn’t care about the property and even less about her guests.

Great location and awesome views!

Being our first time to Maui, I wanted to make sure that we had a good first stay. This condo was excellent. Exactly like the pictures. Great location, minutes walk to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops, but still quiet and peaceful enough to enjoy the scenery. The condo was clean, well outfitted, and comfortable. Plenty of space. The owner responded to my many phone calls and was quite helpful. We are hoping to make this trip a frequent one and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks!

Condo with amazing ocean views

We liked our stay in this condo. Highlight definitely was the gorgeous patio with great sunset views and comfortable beds. Kitchen was very well stocked! We had to contact owner the day before checkin as we had not received any info. It would be better if they provide check in info on the Vrbo website like other owners do. Only other recommendations would be that the carpet and bathrooms could definitely use an update. Carpets did not look or feel very clean. Otherwise, unit is great

Misrepresented

We could not stay at the property…air conditioner was blowing warm air, refrigerator was broken, furniture tattered and it was in the process of being cleaned after our check in time!!! Photos must have been taken at least 10 years ago. Had to spend valuable vacation time to relocate and get a full refund…at least 5 lengthy phone calls and repeat explanations. Very frustrating!!!

Nice location but very run down and dirty

I’ve stayed in this property twice and the grounds are beautiful. Great pools! Condo Positive- Great location in Kihei Condo Negatives- Property manager never contacted me, I had to contact her multiple times and finally heard as I was boarding my plane. Very very dirty. I mean down right gross. Roaches in the kitchen and bathrooms. The shower curtain was hanging by 2 hooks and I literally had to reinstall the shower curtain. Bathrooms are filthy. Not just rundown but actually dirty. Soap scum, horrible smelling, mold on the floors. The washer was so moldy inside it was not useable. The ACs all had mold on them and smelt terribly. The carpets are so dirty I couldn’t even take a picture and share it because they look so bad in the pictures. Patio table and chairs falling apart, not just old but actually falling apart. AND on top of that, we got evacuated on our last day because of the fires, I reached out to her twice and never heard back.

It was the dirtiest unit we have ever stayed in at that complex. We have stayed in the complex probably 30 plus times over the years. The unit was not cleaned at all when we arrived. Cleaners were called and we had to leave until 8:15. The walls were dirty and marked. The carpet in the living room has a stain about one by three feet. Generally the carpet was very dirty. Also, on the second day found cockroaches. Landlord had the bug guy come by to spray, and "clean up the dead , looking good, only a few dead" Also, had to ask for paper towels , toilet paper, some laundry detergent and garbage bags.

Great Time

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the location. The property itself was a bit dated and could use a renovation. But we still enjoyed our stay and would stay again (didn't really spend that much time in the condo in any case). Great views of the ocean and a short walk to the beach. Great communication with the VRBO rep and the office workers on site were very pleasant.

This was the perfect size and location for our group of 6 adults.

The condo is clean and met all of our needs. The property is very well maintained and is beautiful. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Vacation spot

Second time staying here and it was equally as great as the first time!. Location is good, at the quieter end of S. Kihei Road across from boat launch where snorkling excursions leave from if you want to do that . Sea Turtles hang out at the beach across the street (quieter end of Kameole Beach III) good snorkling from the beach, saw sea turtles every day.. Short 10 minute walk down S. Kihea road to restaurants, shops etc. Unit is not looking over any other units - just ocean view and pretty landscaping! It is in a 4 unit building in the complex, very quiet. A tree has grown to block sunset view a bit, but can view still from downstairs bedroom lanai or cross the street for unobstructed view from the park. Its' beautiful. Bedrooms are big and roomy. Loft bedroom has ensuite. Perfect for two couples or family of 4 although couch was also a pull out and there was a blow up bed in one of the closets as well. Nice to have a BBQ area with seating and 2 propane BBQ's (shared ). There are 2 very nice pools on the property. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped.Unit is well kept and clean and has washer and dryer (no need to overpack!). AC was available, but we did not need to use it , just had a nice ocean breeze by leaving patio doors upstairs and down open. Wild chickens roam the area (beware of roosters making early wake up calls - you get used to them). Beach chairs, beach umbrellas and boogie boards available in unit. No issue with any bugs in unit at all. Owner is pleasant to work with and was very accommodating to any requests. Definitely recommend and will stay here again - It's our go to place to stay on Maui.

Was the worst host ever. Argued with me about what date we were to check in.

I would not recommend this condo to anyone. Host was hard to reach and argued about our check in date. The property was filthy when we’re arrived. Piles of laundry just dirty. The condo had a 3 foot stain ion the middle of the living room rug. I asked the cleaners when they showed up about it and they said that they have told the owner it needs to be cleaned. I always thought that VRBO did a better job of screening their properties. We have stayed in 5 different condos at Maui Kamole and this unit has a view but it the worst unit we have stayed in.

Fantastic place to stay

I couldn't have been more impressed with this place. Everything we could want. More space than it seems in the listing, plenty for two parents, two grandparents and two kids. Beautiful ocean views, balconies off both bedrooms, kitchen was well sticked, AC in both bedrooms and the living room, stuff for the kids that we would usually have to rent or buy. Easy access to the beach. Property has two pools. Everything you could want. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Family Friendly Condo In Paradise

Our daughter and her young family stayed in this well-equipped condo for 2 weeks. It was quite spacious with a breathtaking view of the ocean. We saw lots of whales and dolphins frolicking in the waves from the lanai. There was a high chair and booster seat in the unit and lots of shatter-resistant items in the kitchen, which was perfect! My grandson, who is crazy about turtles, loved the turtle-themed decor. Communication with the owner was exceptional and she quickly resolved the 2 small issues we had. We’d rent this condo again in a heartbeat!

The best in Kihei

This is the most beautiful location and provides the best ocean view in Kihei. The condo is perfectly situated to provide the most astonishing 180* view of the ocean directly across from the Kamaole Beach boat ramp and Kamaole III Beach. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The condo itself is well equipped with top of the line appliances. The artwork on the walls is stunning, especially the numbered prints by Sherri Reeves. The owner was very helpful in several respects. We were able to help by purchasing new bed linens for both king beds. (We had seen that as a criticism in previous reviews) Problem solved. The condo was well furnished, especially for our 23 month old grandson. Every thing we needed for him from the high chair to the playpen/bed was available. Maui Kamaole is so gorgeous, we've stayed there multiple times over the last 30 years. This condo is the best of all.

Winter getaway

I wish I could give this property a 4.5*. There were so many small things that were nearly there and could be easily fixed from torn bedsheets that wouldn’t stay on place to a bunch of air mattresses available but no pump. The location was great with the proximity to Kihei center, but the road gets busy and noisy until late at night, especially while sleeping windows open & enjoying the island breeze (which we did anyway). Overall we had a pleasant experience and enjoyed our stay 🏝

Great location and amazing sunset views, older condos

The location is great and has amazing sunset views and close to shops and restaurants. Our everyday plan was to have breakfast and head out for hiking, beach activities, etc. but we made sure we are back before 5:30pm to watch the sunset from this unit spacious balcony. Given this is an older apartment, bathrooms and overall unit could use an update. Overall we were happy with our stay in this apartment.

Great spot. Poor communication.

Amazing property with great location. Very spacious and livable. Quick walk to the beach and shops. My only criticism is that communication with the host was very poor. No instructions for check in/check out and no responses to my messages in the app. Had to repeatedly call the host and VRBO customer support to finally get information on check in just minutes before boarding our plane. I'm not sure why the host wouldn't just use the app to communicate/list instructions. Definitely caused a bit of a headache for us despite the great property overall.

comfortable stay

The property is in a wonderful location. you can walk to the beach across the street or to shops and restaurants. the 2 pools are very nice, warm water. the unit itself is nice and comfortable it is as it appears on line. loved the stocked kitchen and there are plenty of staples which is nice, not having to buy seasonings , oil, etc. loved having the grill right outside. the unit is a little dated but overall is nice and spacious plenty of storage. the owner was responsive and we were brought extra beach towels as there were only 3 when we checked in and kitchen towels which there were none. a/c worked properly in all rooms rather noisy in bedroom. no property management on site available due to covid. overall a wonderful relaxing vacation

Great view, but condo needs updating

Great view. Great condo complex. Condo is dated and needs updating and new furniture. Had to call owner, at check-in time, to get details. Condo wasn't ready at check-in time. No welcome email, no welcome binder with instructions in the condo. Had to call and ask for wifi code and parking spot info. My parents stayed in another condo, in this complex with a different owner, and they had much better communication with their owner. Price is high for the condition of this condo.

Great condo close to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is clean and spacious enough for two adults and two high school/ college age kids to all be comfortable. The sunsets from the deck are amazing. Kihei is a nice location. Doesn’t feel as touristy as Lahaina and lots of great dining options. We love Maui Thai and Miso Phat. There’s an organic grocery store down the street, something with Moon in the name. Kame’ole III is a great beach, not too crowded and great snorkeling by the rocks. Close to big beach and La Peuruse bay. Easy to get around the island. We loved it, can’t wait to return.

Nice View

Condo has a great view. Was slightly dated but overall satisfactory. The shared pools have very strict rules and were not great for small kids due to the resort staff.

Wonderful and Quiet

Condo was well appointed. The only issue was owner required us to be lectured for 10 minutes over the phone on VRBO etiquette before giving out access code over the phone. If I arrived later due to flight time etc this would have been a issue. Also, cleaning staff arrived at 9 am for 11 am checkout time. Check in process could have gone much smoother if the owner just got out of the way.

Beautiful views

This our third stay in the Maui Kamaole complex and we love this location. This second floor unit had a terrific view of the ocean from the lanai and the master bedroom and it was a very quiet unit. Some of the furniture and carpet could use an update, but the kitchen is so well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots/pans, utensils, and the view so nice that we would definitely stay here another year. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lush landscaping.

My husband and I live in Oregon. We both have a love of the ocean and we have purchased condos in great beach towns along the beautiful Columbia River. As a means of satisfying our desire to live near the water. Maui has always been at the top of our list of places we enjoy so it was natural for us to find a home on the island we have come to know so well. We definitely believe that 'Maui no ka oi' Maui is the best!

We have always enjoyed the beaches of South Maui and fell in love with the beautiful grounds of Maui Kamaole. Even today, when I walk into H-208 I say WOW as I look at the view!

The sunsets are truly spectacular. The close proximity to one of the best snorkeling/family beaches is awesome. The property has 2 pools and a tennis court. It's within walking distance of restaurants and shops.
