This was our second time staying here! The views here can’t be beat! Enjoyed the hot tub and comfortable deck chairs. The deck was covered with acorns and leaves, but it’s the season I guess. It would be great if an outdoor broom or blower were provided. Close to Nashville. Would stay again for sure!

We really enjoyed the beautiful view, the charm and history of the house, and watching the many birds visit the feeders\. However, we felt the nightly rate was high for the overall experience\. In more than 10 years of renting over 20 vacation homes, this is the first time I have felt the need to mention that a property was overpriced\.

The kids loved the cabin. They had fun using the bird guide for bird watching, finding ducks, playing the games, and the views. It was really close to downtown and other hiking destinations making it a perfect location for both. We didn't spend a lot of time due to all the activities but when we were there it was a pleasant home. Lots of outdoor seating options for a 4 person house.

Brown County Holiday Getaway

A perfect spot for an escape from holiday madness! Wonderful cabin, very clean, organized, and plenty amenities. Views out back are spectacular! Bird watching, sunsets, relaxing mornings. Great hot tub. Loved it!

The cabin was very quaint and cozy. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was a little far from IU, which is where we needed to be however, we were pleasantly surprised. A great getaway spot with beautiful view. My only issue is the check in at the office lock box. It was an extra step that could have been handled over email. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

The most amazing views and a truly unique cabin!

My family of 3 and in-laws (total of 5 of us) traveled to Brown County to get in some much needed relaxation and outdoor time!! I wish I could drink my coffee from the back deck at this cabin every day! The cabin was very clean and there was so much unique, historic decor to admire! The owners were so thoughtful with their notes, games, and unique touches like providing bird seed to enjoy watching the birds gather. We missed the cabin initially as we didn’t expect it to be right off the main road (parking is very close to the road, so if traveling with young kids, keep a close eye!) so pay attention when finding it the first time! Thank you for providing the perfect space for our weekend getaway!

Our impression!

Well maintained and furnished. Loved the hot tub! Didn’t like that it is located on a busy highway and dangerous to enter and exit driveway. And we were surprised to read in the rule book we found at the property that visitors weren’t allowed! Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to spend the weekend

We had a wonderful time watching the birds each morning. The location was perfect for going into Nashville, visits to Brown County State Park, and even a trip to Bloomington.

Perfect relaxing getaway with gorgeous views!

The cabin with clean and just as expected! Communication with the owner was good. The views were amazing and the hot tab was the perfect ending to an already relaxing day. The game room was a great way to spend a day just chilling. Just a couple minutes from downtown Nashville which made the entire experience even better. Will definitely be back!

Bday Weekend

We absolutely loved property, evenings under the stars and morning birdwatching. Two birthdays in one weekend fabulous area. Pristine home! Would love to see in the fall.

Relaxing

Had a great time. Took my nephew to Extreme to zipline, visited downtown and visited the park. The house was beautiful inside and out. The view is spectacular. Liked it so much I booked it for Fall.

Overlook Cabin Sunsets

Great western view to see sunsets. Had an enjoyable stay. I would rent the Overlook Cabin again.
