Host was welcoming, You can tell the property was updated, But needs some TLC to get back in shape. The Floor in a few area’s was starting to come apart. The walls and baseboards could use some better cleaning or some new paint. The attic panel had paint peeling off. The back yard needed to be racked.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us Robert. As we mentioned, the issue with the floorboard came to our attention upon the prior guest checking out the morning of your arrival. We mentioned sending our contractor, to which you expressed no interest. The home is newly renovated including fully painted, the contractor has been by the home.

Amazing place!
My daughter and I were in town to visit family. This place was so cozy, looks great in pictures even better in person. Great amenities, this place was such a bargain for having the whole house and backyard to ourselves. We’ll be back!!

Dog friendly in Highpoint
The place was very clean , everything worked , the neighborhood was fine very modest. Very dog friendly!

Perfect home!
Cheryl made everything easy from checking in to checking out, quickly with communicating when we had questions.

Comfortable Getaway
The exterior and neighborhood aren't ideal but the inside amenities are comfortable and most importantly beds and bathroom very clean.

Lovely Home
Sweet home large enough to accommodate at least 4 guests. Host is very communicative and helpful. Beds are comfortable & kitchen bar is convenient for meals. Great location to explore High Point / Greensboro area.

Cute House!
Cute house. Backyard wasn’t accessible from inside house and there were tons of mosquitoes. Power went out- at no fault of owner and they were great with communication! Enjoyed the stay, but couldn’t use the yard at all

It would have been appreciative if you offered some insights to your review as, within about 15minutes of you mentioning the mosquitoes we offered to send our pest control to address the issue which was likely to heavy rain we had just experienced a week before. When we mentioned we were working on it, you mentioned Twice for us not to worry about it as you weren't using the backyard.
Regarding the 30minute power outage, was due to a car hitting a light post a detail which you informed us about. I'm not sure what more we could've done as you assured us there was nothing you wanted us to address despite our efforts.

My family and I loved our stay!
I booked this home on behalf of my parents (since they’re new to this) and the house was exactly as the pictures. We also took our dogs (a husky and German Shepard) and they loved the back yard—one the reasons why we chose this house. The house provided so much and was very cozy for all of us (6 ppl).
It was also super easy to get in contact with the owner; they were fast to respond and kind—especially when it came to answering questions. Overall, the experience was wonderful and if we were to go back, I would love to book this house again!

High point of our stay at High point
I was a little hesitant to write this review because I actually want to keep this gem of a property and its owners to myself and know that anytime I come back to High point that I can stay here or in one of their other 2 properties without them being booked up as I know this gets done way in advance.
Coming from the UK originally but based in the Caribbean for over 20 years and developing properties there - High Point has now become an integral part of our business going forward.
As it was our first time visiting - we were not quite sure what to expect in terms of the market, which evidently blew our little minds and our feet. We had left it a bit late for booking a hotel in the centre but our luck was in finding Cheryl’s property due to a cancellation. Lucky us.
The house is located very close to the university and only a short ride to market.
Although there is not too much around - the house was perfectly situated for us in a quiet street and so lovely to come back to relax in after walking around for 8 hours every day.
We arrived late in the evening in the dark, but entry was easy with the code given and with the super easy alarm system on the property, as two single females - we felt super safe.
The house itself was clean and tidy with lots of good amenities - lots of towels and extras to include duvets and blankets if you get cold (like we do)
On a 6 night stay, we cooked three nights, got take out the others and even popped to Greensbrough one evening for tacos.
I guess that means something - although the town of High point is very quiet in terms of any restaurants or nightlife - we were very appreciative of being able to cook in the house with all amenities available to us including the use of a washer and dryer.
Thanks again to cheryl for allowing us to stay in your lovey home as a base for our trip.
I would highly recommend anyone coming to High Point for whatever reason, to stay here.
We hope to visit again in the fall and although I wish for other people to be lucky enough to stay here, I hope I get my reservation in before you!

Thank you for your review Annie. We're not sure if this review is in error as our listing mentions the home is no longer carpeted but rather updated to vinyl flooring. There's new appliances, including washer, dryer, fridge as well as recently replace Stainless steel stove. Our cleaner spend extra time cleaning our homes so ensure the highest comfort to our guest stay.
We welcome feedback to make sure we do our best to constantly improve guest experience. In fact, we're currently in the process of updating furniture as well as the backyard we're adding a patio and more seating.
