Perfect beach vacation

My friends and I really relaxed at this beautiful home. I couldnā€™t say enough good things about our experience: the postcard-like, jaw-dropping bay view from the kitchen and amazing porch was amazing, as was the 2 minute walk to the beach, endless birdwatching opportunities (Great Egrets and Ospreys flying overhead), fantastic industrial kitchen, very comfortable beds, the 5 minute drive to a grocery store. There are a few recommendations that Iā€™d like to make to the owner but this vacation home has everything. FYI: the caretaker lives in a wing of the house that is attached to the main house...so youā€™re not really alone. But we didnā€™t mind and made the best of our stay.

Beautiful spacious home

This is a lovely, spacious home right on the water and just down the road from a little family beach in a beautiful sandy marsh and very conveniently located to all the Cape has to offer. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets in a relaxed atmosphere and we really appreciated that our four legged friends were allowed to join us as well. The house has a lot of cool books and paintings to look at and the kitchen is decently equipped. While on a whole we had a great stay, the owners still need to go through the entire property and just put a little extra effort into working out the kinks. Many aspects of the home are in need of minor repair and we were a little disappointed the home advertises an outdoor shower but that was non-functioning as well. There were no major deficiencies but there is formidable list of minor flaws. Like other reviews, the flaws wouldn't keep us from renting again, but when one or two things are out of whack it's come to be expected, when many things are in slight disrepair it can become frustrating. Just our honest assessment. Really nice vacation but with some imperfections for the price.

No brainer

First of all, this house was larger and much more interesting than I thought. It was an ā€œoverflowā€ house for us this time as my brother lives in Eastham and can only accommodate so many. The six of us who stayed there kept saying how much we loved it and struggled to leave and join the rest of the family. If youā€™re looking to go to Cape Cod- to completely escape, to enjoy peace and the beauty of nature- and also party when the time is right, this is your spot. Youā€™ll never want to leave the house.

Great stay near the beach

Wonderful location. The house is big and comfortable. Beautiful views all around with a great yard and deck for sunset watching. Inside, almost all the fixtures & furniture is very dated and needs upgrading. This includes the bathrooms and kitchen. But overall it is a great property and highly recommended.

Great location, good sized home that needs updates and better cleaning

This house has all around gorgeous views and sunsets. Perfect amount of room for 6-8 adults and a couple of kids. The kitchen was thick with grease and the cleaning was certainly not up to COVID standards. The mattresses seemed more full size than queen size. Toilets were either not working, had no toilet seat or a toilet seat with a complete crack that pinched until stuffed with toilet paper. We recommend all new mattresses (queen size) and move the twin beds to join one of the other rooms making it have 4 queens instead of 3. Needs an outdoor grill and a functioning outdoor shower and it would be SPECTACULAR!!

Location, location...

Great location - with great afternoons and amazing sunset over the wetlands. Add a great professional kitchen well stocked with pots and pans and you can have great evening dinners. House is old and in need of some work (we had problems opening/closing some doors to the terrace) but it is great for a family vacation. Rating it as a 5 star since we have already decided that we would love to come back next summer.

Cape Cod reunion

This place is beautifully designed with gorgeous views and a super short walk to a delightful beach. The chefs kitchen was a real pleasure to make use of and the spacious dining area was central to our gathering. The zoned air-conditioning was key to everyone being comfortable. There was a shortage of flatware and glasses in the kitchen and no gas grill despite it being listed, however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Amazing house but needs some work

The house has stunning views, was very clean... but the bathrooms are SO old. A lot of things didn't work. 2/5 toilets were broken, the sink upstairs was broken, lightbulbs were out.. it's just a very old house that needs some touch ups. The management company did send a plumber but they didn't have a long term fix so we weren't able to use one of the bathrooms. I would stay here again if they would renovate the bathrooms.

Great house and location, some maintenance needed

Great house with a great location, but needs some attention. Two broken toilets, including the first floor shared toilet was a letdown, and there were a couple of other things that ā€œkindaā€ worked. If they put some attention towards upkeep this house could be back to what was clearly a great house. Location is awesome and worked really well for family with kids.

Villa on the bay

we loved our stay at the home. The location and the property could not be beat! Getting up in the morning with coffee on the patio and watching sunsets were outstanding. Watching the tides change the back view was beautiful. We would stay at this property again in a heartbeat. The reason why we only gave it a 4 star rating is because there were things in the house that needed attention. The kitchen was a chefs kitchen but the vent hood was not working properly and the kitchen filled up with smoke. The power room toilet had a broken seat. Two of the toilets did not flush. The sink in the upstairs guest room bath room no cold water came out of the tap and the hot water tap sprayed all over the place. There were also a few ripped screens. If these things were fixed we would definitely come back. Thank you for a very nice stay in Eastham.

Eastham house

The property was very spacious and could accommodate all of us perfectly. The property is ideal for bird watching and relaxing. It's just a short walk to the beach as advertised. It is also at a great location on the cape for getting to other places. There could be a few updates here in there in the house but the house had everything we needed for the stay.

April on the bay

Fantastic location and house. There are rodents - larger than mice - in the ceiling of the first floor. They run laps at night. Once this problem is addressed, this is a 5-star rental.

Getaway by the sea

Fantastic location on the bay with Spectacular views and beach access and sunsets, large villa, gourmet kitchen, fireplace and numerous large bedrooms. We had an opportunity to meet the owner he was very friendly and quite successful local businessman.

Beautiful view of Boat Meadow and Bay

Lovely home sitting overlooking vast marshes near First Encounter Beach. Easy walk to Rock Harbor. Magnificent views of Cape Cod Bay. Excellent kitchen. Met the owner, lovely Sicilian gentleman who was very welcoming. Great yard for kids and dog.

Stunning Property

What an amazing home! The location and views are perfect. Walking distance to great beach to kayak, swim and dig for clams. The patio and balcony outstanding for sunsets. The kitchen has everything a chef could hope for. Plenty of space inside for spreading out. Would be helpful if we had instructions on things like which tvā€™s worked, what to do with trash/recycling and other minor issues. Otherwise we were extremely satisfied with our week here. Would return again in a heartbeat.
