THE GOOD LIFE is sun-filled Muskoka cottage with a nice sandy beach on the western shores of Lake Muskoka, with deep water off the Boathouse dock. A quick 5 minute drive to Bala and 10 minute drive to Port Carling, guests will appreciate the convenience of nearby amenities accessible by car and boat!
PROPERTY
THE GOOD LIFE welcomes guests off a private driveway off Dudley Road, a beautifully secluded cottage on Lake Muskoka. With no near neighbours in sight on its private bay, this cottage offers the perfect vacation haven for those looking for a private space to unwind. Guests can enjoy Lake Muskoka views from the screened-in Muskoka Room. From the Muskoka Room, guests can access the large upper level deck, which features an outdoor seating area, 8 person dining room table, and a large BBQ for delicious summer meals. While relaxing on the deck, the soundtrack of a trickling stream can be heard from the right of the cottage. Guests with children will appreciate the abundance of level land leading to the south facing sandy beach waterfront! With over 500' of frontage, the sandy shoreline and quiet bay will be enjoyed by all! There are 2 Muskoka chairs located on the steps down to the beach where people can relax and take in the views! To the left of the water's edge, a recently renovated boathouse can be found, equipped with upper level living quarters and an elevated sundeck with 4 loungers for suntanning! The boathouse has 3 interior slips, one of which is available for visitors’ watercraft. The boathouse deck comes furnished with a low teak table surrounded by 8 chairs, a large Tucci umbrella, 2 loungers and 4 Muskoka chairs located near the swimming ladder - perfect for afternoon sun tanning! Guests can enjoy evenings by the water, taking in the Muskoka starscape by the lakeside fire pit that is surrounded by 10 Muskoka chairs! Perched in the trees is a luxurious wood-fired sauna that will soothe you as you stare out onto the water. 2 large hammocks hang near the beach, perfect for a nice mid-day nap! The property also has a parking area with a basketball hoop and a 10 x 10 golf driving cage to allow guests some exercise options. The Good Life truly offers it all!

A message from Jayne, Owner of Jayne's Cottages:
As a child, I grew up with the sandy beach of Lake Huron in my backyard. I went to university and settled in Toronto with my family and made my living selling computer software. I starting visiting Muskoka in the summertime and fell in love with the peacefulness and natural beauty of the surroundings. Shortly thereafter we bought a cottage, which was quite an investment, but my family has never regretted it!
Working full time however only allowed my family a 2 week vacation, so we all agreed that we would rent to cover our property expenses and to afford to take exotic family trips overseas. Renting our cottage has allowed my family to experience other special places, like Provence and Tuscany.
Despite the alarming storms that can rush in, Muskoka has a certain “joie de vivre” about it. Blue skies, gorgeous lakes, quaint villages and sunshine nearly everyday certainly helps keep a smile on everyone’s face. Over our years in Muskoka, I have met charming people who have also fallen in love with this magical part of Ontario and who have purchased beautiful cottage properties that they visit frequently. While they are away from Muskoka, I take excellent care of their homes and host their visitors who come from all over the world to enjoy this beautifully scenic Canadian location that is especially close to my heart.
