OUR RIVERSIDE RETREAT W/PRIVATE HOT TUB - OPEN YEAR ROUND

It's time to sit back, relax and enjoy time at our Riverside Retreat and watch the boats go down the Vermilion River from the front deck. Our vacation retreat sleeps 2-3 comfortably, possibly 4&5 people. We also welcome 1 med or 2 small dogs for $100/stay. Our newly renovated home is fully furnished and equipped with wi-fi, air conditioning, all kitchen appliances and fully stocked. The front deck offers an awesome view of the Vermilion River furnished to relax and enjoy. (Please note we are NOT located riverfront, our house is a across the street from the river, but we have an awesome, unobstructed view of the river and we do NOT have a boat dock, but can furnish information on public marinas in the area). The back deck is also fully furnished including a hot tub and both a charcoal and propane grill. The Master Bedroom has another breathtaking view of the river with a futon to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. The Spa-like Master Bath located between the Master Bedroom and the 2nd Bedroom (which has a trundle bed that sleeps one or two) has a new jetted tub and is also a very spa-like escape. ALSO NOTE: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FISH CLEANING ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY ANYWHERE OR IN THE HOUSE. IF WE FIND EVIDENCE AFTER YOUR STAY THAT YOU DID, WE WILL CHARGE YOU A $150.00 FEE OUT OF YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT.

We stayed for a week, and the area is wonderful. The house was beautifully decorated. There are steps up to the house then again up to the bedrooms for those who may have issues. The birds and animals were quite abundant which was nice.

Lovely River Retreat

This is a lovely home, well kept, decorated nicely and the perfect vacation retreat. Joyce was always available for any questions or concerns. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Memorial service

Very nice and perfect location close to Vermillion area. Riverside retreat provided everything for the comforts of home and more. Morning coffee on the front deck overlooking the River was awesome.

Very nice home and location

Our primary purpose of our trip was to meet up with other friends staying near by to go fishing . The home was very well equipped with everything . The bed we slept in was very comfortable , the shower was very nice . The neighborhood was very quiet as well . The home is located close to numerous restaurants and stores which was very convenient ! I would recommend this place to anyone and would go back there as well ! We had no complaints

Need a little R & R? Mission Accomplished!

My hubby and I needed a weekend away to unplug and relax. The décor of the house is beautiful blue tones with a beachy theme. We loved the location, close to everything. The hot tub was our favorite and was used many times. We kayaked for over 2 hours down the Vermillion river and met some really nice neighbors. We watched the sunset by the lighthouse and got ice cream at Romp's Dairy Dock. We would definitely go back go again!

Vermillion Escape

We were searching for someplace to relax over the Memorial Day weekend near the Lake Erie shoreline….Luckily, we found a nice, clean and comfortable little place in Vermillion. The cottage was very well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed exploring the area during the daytime….and then returning to the cottage for a relaxing evening cooking dinner and just lounging in the quiet comfort. Thank you to the hosts for providing such a nicely equipped kitchen and outdoor grilling area…..we loved it. Will most likely return again sometime…..

So relaxing!

We loved our stay at Riverside Retreat! The location can not be beat! The river views and close location to the Lake made our time so enjoyable. We loved checking out all of the marinas, parks and beaches that Vermilion and Huron have to offer. Joyce and Dave have thought of everything to insure that their guests have it all! Bikes, kayaks, fire pit and twinkle lights to name a few. The goodie bag was beyond anything we have ever experienced before. It is difficult to find a great place that allows pets and Riverside Retreat is at the top of our list! We are looking forward to returning to check out the river and lake when the snow flies!

Our Home Away from Home

We absolutely love staying at this property. It is our 2nd time and every little detail is taken care of from the fully stocked kitchen essentials to toiletries and all the comforts of home. We were even greeted (both stays) with a lovely bottle of wine and welcome gift. We absolutely love the neighborhood and feel so much at home while we stay. The house is decorated as if someone lives there full time and the owners are so generous with extra linens, and all the things you might forget (from bug spray to sunscreen to ziplock bags). When they say they are pet friendly, they aren’t kidding. There are extra toys, treats and even a mat for your dog dishes. Our little shihtzus love getting to feel pampered as well. We can’t say enough about this property and the incredible hosts. We will stay here again and again!

Cozy & quiet stay near the river

Loved this cute place & all the amenities! Spent our mornings & evenings on either the front or back deck & enjoyed the hot tub every day. Convenient location to the lake & historic downtown without the noise & people. Our dogs loved laying on the deck & keeping watch over the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

AMAZING AMAZING

I really cannot say enough positive things about this property and the owners. The place was amazingly kept and clean! They had a cheese board and crackers with bologna as a welcome gift along with a bottle of wine. The property has everything you would think about needing for a trip away from home, all you need to bring is yourself and your clothing. Both of the decks are a very wonderful space to hang out and spend your time. The hot tub is in fabulous shape and a wonderful treat after a day at Lake Erie. The town this house is located in is very cute and quaint. It is close to a grocery store and downtown which has great restaurants and a very good little ice cream shop. If you are even considering booking this property, do it! You will not regret it!

Mother-Daughter stay

We really enjoyed our time at your house across from the Vermillion river. The amount of space was perfect. We really enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub and how easy and convenient they were to use. We appreciated the clear and easy directions and really appreciated the welcoming bottle of wine. and snacks. We did not bring our dog, but what a great place to bring your dog, very dog friendly including the town of Vermillion. The house could have been a little cleaner, we found a large tuft of dog hair on the kitchen counter and the drawers in the fridge and cupboards were dirty. The kitchen and house in general were very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We also enjoyed using the kayaks! Overall a great stay!

Riverside Relaxation in Vermilion

This was a wonderful place to stay after a cross-country trek, and we were very glad to have found it. The hosts' sense of hospitality is clearly important to them, and they have provided an array of comforts for guests in this very, very well-maintained home. It was November, so their riverside neighborhood was quite quiet and extra-peaceful.

Girl's Weekend!

The house was so inviting from the minute we got there. The vanilla scent was relaxing. A very nice gift basket with a bottle of wine and a map that was very helpful. A book about the house and a book of the restaurants in the area helped us to plan our time. The hot tub was the best part of the weekend. After traveling it was nice to hop in there Friday night after getting some groceries. Then Saturday, after spending the day at the beach, getting ice cream and going out for dinner it was wonderful to spend time chatting and having wine while in the hot tub. This wonderful home will definitely always be on list for a getaway. We also drove past the owners other property and that is on the list too! By chance we found out about this rental on VRBO. We loved the town of Vermillion. The people were wonderful. We came from Pittsburgh and it was about a 2 1/2 hour drive.

Serene and Peaceful

I loved sitting on the deck watching the river, the kayaks, the ducks and the boats, of course! The amenities are outstanding, and the extras are too numerous to mention. It was good 👍☺️

Even better in person!

This was our first time renting a VRBO property because we usually use “the other home rental group” and we were not disappointed! The home was beautiful and felt like we were staying at a friends home. Super comfortable and lots of spaces to relax. Absolutely everything we needed was right at our fingertips, we could have practically shown up with just the clothes on our backs and been fine! Very quiet neighborhood, hardly saw another soul. The location is just perfect. It doesn’t matter if you turn left or right on RT 6 you will not be bored and this home is right in the middle. One of our favorite things was how close it was to go home for a quick meal and head right back down to Main Street for a beach sunset. The only issue (and it’s really a personal choice) was that the hot tub was too hot for us to use (103-4) and you’re not allowed to adjust it (understandable, I’m sure the owners have dealt with problems in the past!) They went out of their way to welcome and make us feel special for our anniversary and we were very appreciative and will be back for sure!

Fabulous getaway!

Overall - the place was amazing and the perfect small getaway for me and my two friends. The house was immaculate - down to the last detail. Very inviting and we enjoyed all of the little *extra* things around the house that made it feel cozy during a cold January weekend. The owner even provided additional sanitizer, wipes, and masks for her guests. Loved the place, can't wait to come back in warmer weather. This will be our little (mom's only!) getaway!
