Welcome to the Gatehouse. This is one of the historic homes in Provincetown and has been beautifully renovated, providing all of the conveniences for a wonderful leisurely vacation in the most charming town on the Cape. This home is a very large 3 bedroom/2 bath home. Right across the street from The Provincetown Inn, whose pool and grill is open to the public during the summer months. Little Beach is right there too. And for many, the walk across the rock jetty give you some of the best vistas of the beach and the town.

Historic Gatehouse in the West End

Friends and I stayed at 1 Pilgrim Landing for 15 perfect days. The home is beautiful, perfectly appointed and located ideally. The owner was communicative, helpful and kind. This stunning location is just steps to the beach, public pool, select dining establishments and the glorious wild lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. I’m currently planning my return.

Great house and host!

Our stay at the house was perfect from check in to check out. The house was clean and the host was responsive with all of our questions throughout the stay. I’d recommend the house to anyone visiting Provincetown!

Perfect Family Vacation

The perfect Ptown getaway

My friends and I have been renting properties in Ptown every summer for the last 15 years and Marc's is one of the best yet! The house is well appointed, very comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. It has every amenity you need to feel right at home. Check in was easy and seamless. Communication was great for check in and check out, as well as throughout the week whenever we had a question or two. Location was perfect for us, easily biking to Commercial St. or the beach. And having the Provincetown Inn pool across the street was a dream! I would highly recommend Marc's place to anyone, and look forward to renting it again!

Ready for your best vacation

The Gatehouse is one of the best properties we've rented in decades of annual summer visits to Provincetown. We loved it so much we are coming back next year. The location, right across from the Provincetown Inn, is very convenient if your party includes people who like to spend time in the pool or swim in the ocean; it's like staying at a resort without having to stay at a resort. Dryer recreation, like walking the breakwater or biking the dune trails, is close at hand as well. The house itself is right at the end of Commercial Street, so you can actually drive there without going on Commercial at all. It is convenient to attractions of the West End, like the Red Inn, with its popular Happy Hour, and Relish, with its amazing breakfast pastries. The house itself is very well-equipped and well-lit, with all you need to relax and keep cool. The big door opens to create an excellent cross-breeze. There's plenty of space in the back to park bikes, two outdoor patios, and the downstairs living/dining/kitchen main room is huge and comfortable. The beds and other furnishings are very high quality, and we all slept well. The Gatehouse is ready for your best vacation ever.

A remarkable carriage house

First let's start with the location -- very nice patio and grounds right by the breakwater and an easy walk to watch the sunset or go for a swim (and a pleasant walk to town). But it gets better -- the house is comfortable, stylish, and roomy, with creative decorating touches and a well-equipped kitchen. Finally, Marc the host was very responsive and helpful. All in all, highly recommended.

Beautiful house, wonderful stay!

The house was perfect. Beautifully decorated and maintained. We had everything we needed. The location was wonderful - across from the water, quiet and close to everything. We walked into town everyday during our stay - one day even twice. Probably a 20-minute walk, but the weather was (mostly) gorgeous and the sights beautiful. Additionally, the owner was very kind and accommodating throughout. We'd definitely visit again!

Perfect upscale property

This house is bigger and even more impressive than the pictures show. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom feels very private from the 2 bedrooms downstairs. Without a car it would be a bit of a trek to the busy Commercial Street district but if you want to stay a bit away from the hustle and bustle, this is the spot! And it's literally a 3-5 minute drive to everything you want to see and do.

Stand-Out Property on All Fronts

This house is top-notch. Besides completely living up to expectations aesthetically, it’s the details that we particularly loved: quality dishes/cooking utensil, a nicely stocked collection of spices, a few bottles of liquor that made for a nice bar setup (compliments of past guests) and an array of good quality shower supplies (shampoos, conditioners, etc.). Unlike other rentals when they clear the place out to nothing, this place felt like home. The technology was ideal, with the Sonos easily used to stream music through the whole place. Just a really nicely done, clean, accommodating place. I highly recommend.

The house was immaculate and a great home base for a week in Provincetown. Marc was incredibly responsive by phone and text, though was rarely needed as the property is in great shape and the written info about the house was very thorough. Definitely would stay here again!

Best location, spectacular house, and attentive host

The property is located in the historic district of town, beautiful in its own right, and perfectly situated between the excitement of town, and the beaches and bike trails of the national seashore. The house is a thoughtfully renovated historic home with easy parking, lots of space, 2 spa-like bathrooms, and a well stocked kitchen. Marc and Nick were very thoughtful and responsive throughout ensuring we got the most out of our stay. I highly recommend the property!

Lovely house, amazing location, great host!

AMAZING

Location, Location, Location!! I have only been to the Cape twice many years ago and never understood what all the hype was, until now. Highlights: - the house is exactly how it is pictured - perfection, well stocked, tastefully decorated - location is perfection - lovely walk into town or a short walk to Relish for coffee with a beach across the street - what more do you need??? - Hosts are the best - very responsive My biggest issue is trying to figure out when I can go back!

Our friends and I had a fantastic stay! The house was pristine and is spacious. The rooms are comfy and with great decor. Though this house is further to the center of town, it’s worth booking given the space! Would highly recommend this listing!

Sweet Escape

Magnificent house in the perfect location for those looking to be just out of Provincetown center and close to the beaches. We rented the house for a 40th birthday event, and with all of the seating and table space, it was great for entertaining and lounging. Moreover, it is an easy walk to both downtown and Herring Cove beach. The part that worked well for us was the ability to rent the studio behind the garage in addition to the main house to accommodate more guests.

Perfect Long Weekend

We came here for my sisters bachelorette party, which was tough enough to plan during COVID. Marks house was absolutely perfect- great location in Ptown near town and the beach, beautifully decorated and with everything one could ask for. They seriously thought of everything, and were beyond accommodating during our stay. We will definitely be coming back here!!
