The Wine Cellar Cottage - Mountain Vineyard Getaway

This is not your typical mountain cabin. It is beautifully situated in the GA/NC mountains on the Highlands Plateau; amidst rolling hills of vineyards and beautiful views. A total of 850 square feet - with hardwood flooring throughout, sleeps six guests in comfort. This cabin boasts two king-sized bedrooms and a sleeper sofa, and a pair of bathrooms (one shower and one bathtub/shower).


The Vineyard at High Holly is a working vineyard, vacation destination, and beautiful event venue. The vineyard is nestled on 30 acres of land in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, between Clayton, GA and Highlands, NC.

As a guest you are welcome to explore and revel in the Vineyards beauty. There are walking paths throughout, a pond, several gardens with dahlias, vegetables, and flowers, 10.5 acres of grapes, and much more!

In addition, there is a very cool community area for our on-property guests to enjoy. It is a great place to hang out and enjoy the vineyard. It is equipped with a fire pit, bocce ball court, cornhole game, charcoal grills, and The Market; which has gifts, swag, provisions and more for purchase.

The area is known for its pristine landscapes, lovely people, and activities for all ages! There is ziplining, hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding, rafting, boating, fishing, golf, tubing – all within 30 minutes of the vineyard.

In addition to all the things to do outside, there is also some of the best restaurants, shopping, antiquing, and spas, are just a stone's throw away.

Restful getaway with the family!

Excellent location with proximity to Highlands, NC and Dillard, GA. Beautiful property and cozy little cottage made for the perfect getaway. Will definitely book again! Comfy beds, scenic views and enough space for a family of 3.

Magical

We loved our stay at the cottage and will definitely be back. We visited with children and dogs just before the winter holidays. If you’re not used to mountain drives, it is a bit windy to get there but not bad. The location is great - the property itself is beautiful and great to explore, and also located conveniently to other attractions. Once at the property, we were just 5 min to snow tubing (as well as the summer activities like trout fishing and gem mining) and about 15 min drive to Main Street of Highlands, and less than 20 min to several easily accessible waterfalls. On the property, our kids loved the Bocce ball and exploring on the paved paths. The cottage itself is very cozy and clean (it seemed brand new during our stay!) and views over the vineyard are lovely. It does have a kitchenette, not a full kitchen, and some small kitchen appliances so we were able to make do with meals. Rachel is fantastic - so responsive and helpful. This was our first time to the area and we are so happy with this location - it’s a gem!

Perfect vacation spot close to Highlands

We loved this property; everything was so clean and comfortable, and it had everything you need for a short getaway. The vineyard was beautiful and the porch was a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evenings. Downtown Highlands is an easy 15-20 minute drive and super easy to get to. The market is convenient and walking around the property was relaxing. Definitely recommend this property and we hope to be back soon!

Beautiful cottage!

We enjoyed our long weekend here! Beautiful property and cottage! Cottage well thought out and really comfortable furnishings from sofa, chair and both beds had great mattresses! Clearly a lot of thought was put into this home…you won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful Property

We were so grateful to Rachel and her family. We had an amazing two days and wish it could’ve been longer. We walked the property and took in all of the pretty sites. We visited Highlands and some of the surrounding area and had a nice family visit with my sister and brother-in-law. Hope we can return again sometime. Thank you so much!

What an absolute gem!

The cottage was beautiful, well decorated, adequately stocked, and very clean. The view from the deck is amazing! The cottage feels larger than it is because of the layout and our four adults had plenty of room. Rachel and her team are wonderful to do business with, well managed and excellent communication. Just wonderful and what we needed!

My daughter rented the property as she was more experienced than me with on line transactions. We all needed to get away for various reasons. The trip was for an 85 year old and her two daughters. The property is lovely.We would love to visit again!

Great girls trip!

This cottage is absolutely beautiful and the view of the vineyard is amazing! I hope to be back sooner than later. You’ll want to make this your permanent weekend getaway or your permanent vacation spot. Clayton is less than 20 minutes and so is Highlands NC. Thank you for a great week.

Heavenly Highlands Haven

Staying here was exactly what I needed to rest and recharge. From the gorgeous grounds and fun walking trail, to the mountain views, to the property’s close proximity to stunning waterfalls, a wide range of hiking trails and adorable nearby towns, to the lovingly decorated cabin that felt like a home-away-from-home, I am so happy to have found and stayed in this gem. And the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The property managers are so helpful and responsive, and are excellent resources on the surrounding area. Plus, I was so happy I could bring my dog with me (she loved being able to go and sit on the porch with me in the morning and bird-watch). I will certainly be recommending this peaceful and relaxing retreat to family and friends, and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous property!

This is such a beautiful setting. It is a wedding venue, but I came up to see the leaves change and really enjoyed this lovely place. It was convenient for nearby hikes and the cottage was immaculate as pictured. I would certainly stay here again if in the area.

Perfect Vineyard Cottage

Everything about this place was incredible! The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. It is picturesque, and the views are STUNNING! Great location just outside of the Highlands. Simple check-in/check-out process and the hostess was easy to communicate with. Little extra details throughout were wonderful! We loved everything and will definitely be back! Absolutely recommend over any other place!

Nice bright and airy cottage only 15 mins from Highlands. Beautiful property and nicely decorated. No full kitchen and spotty internet but the pros far outweigh the cons!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. We stayed in one of the cottages for a long weekend for an event we were attending in Dillard, GA but knew we also wanted to explore Highlands as well. This location was perfectly located between the two. Rachel, the property manager, was very thorough with all the property details and very accommodating...complete with a guide to restaurants and activities in the neighboring towns. Cottage was super clean and well stocked with all the necessities. Vineyard at 37 High Holly...Yall have a good thing going and we can't want to come back for another stay!
